I was a teenager during that era. Those cars were iconic back then. Everyone wanted one. Every teenage boy wanted to be the man driving one. Forgotten nostalgia. Beautiful time
Great time! Wish everyone stayed longer! Love all our get togethers! Thanks for doing what you do with these videos! Love!
Thanks, Rado! Mario's car is up next. Video will be up this week! We'll be doing it all again next year too!
That’s what heavens going to be like! Cruising around in fox body’s and going to mustang shows.
Heck yeah! Thank you very much for watching!
Yours looks amazing, especially in that blue!
Top 3 cleanest Foxbody’s I’ve seen on UA-cam for me. Love the paint, the engine bay looks clean and well kept definitely how want mines to look when I get one. Perfect looking car! Amazing
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Appreciate the kind words. I got lucky when I found this car, that's for sure! Hope you find a clean one and get it the way you want it. They are so much fun!
That is a clean GT with all the right mods. I appreciate that you've kept it looking stock, it's a great sleeper. I miss my '91; I bought it new and drove it for 15 years. Finally replaced it with a new '03 Terminator that today makes 568 rwhp. Recently found your channel and like your content!
Thank you very much. I had a 92 LX I drove daily for about 8 years. This one gets to hibernate during the winter though haha. The '03 Terminator is awesome! Good choice for upgrade!
I’m a late 80’s 90’s kid. Soon to be 40 years old. Back then i wasn’t crazy about the fox body. At 17 my first car was a 94 midnight Blue Taurus SHO. Or till my very early 30’s did I like the fox body, the notch back !
Just a little older than you. I got a ride in an 85 GT when I was like 14 years old and from that day on I was hooked! SHO was a cool car back then too. I want a notch someday too, but my GT isn't going anywhere so need a bigger garage haha.
Phenomenal job man. I’m a fan of stock interior as well, stock appearance- you put all the mods where they count- in the motor. Very very well done!
Thank you very much! It's what I grew up with and feels like being in a time machine haha. Thank you for watching. Appreciate the comment too!
MAN I AM A PROUD OWNER OF 7 MUSTANGS LOL BUT I DO HAVE 2 FOXBODYS LOL MY 87 MUSTANG GT WITH THE RARE T TOP OPTION AND I HAVE A VIBRANT RED 93 COBRA WITH 22 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILES WITH JUST EXHAUST.
@BrotherTom LOL MAN I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A FOX BODY WITH A BLOWER LOL IT HAS TOO BE SO FAST LOL
@@BrotherTomLOL I LOVE MY CARS MOSTLY STOCK BUT I PLAN ON DOING A LITTLE MOTOR WORK ON MY 87 MUSTANG GT BUT OTHER THAN THAT I PLAN ON LEAVING IT ORIGINAL LOL BUT EXHAUST IS A MUST LOL I LOVE YOUR GT MAN LOL OUT OF ALL THE FOXBODYS I WAS ALWAYS A MUSTANG GT GUY ASIDE FROM MY 93 COBRA LOL BUT LIKE I SAID I LOVE YOUR CAR AND I LOVE THAT YOUR TRYING TO LEAVE IT AS STOCK AS POSSIBLE.
@@BrotherTomIS YOUR COLOR OF YOUR GT A ORIGINAL 89 COLOR.
I found your channel today and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Fantastic video quality and great content. I'm an S197 guy (I'm from the UK, and own 2 of them), but I love all Mustangs, so it's nice to see Fox content. Yours is gorgeous......and so are your buddies cars! Looking forward to more content.......keep up the great work :)
Paul, thank you very much for watching and for the kind words. I'm having a lot of fun making these videos. I do plan on reviewing more models in the future including some S197 Mustangs so stay tuned!
Spur cut (straight cut) gears are so nice for the whine that they make and the resultant strength you get. I raced Husqvarna dirt bikes for years and you could hear those gears whine before you could hear the pipe! That's a really sweet color on your Mustang. You NEVER go wrong with a sleeper. Mario's rig is nice but I like the 'understated' look of your 5.0 is more to my liking. The white on white Mustang really pops! Nice!
Bet that bike sounded awesome too! I love the old school, loud gears. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Tom I loved the history on the car. I didn't know a lot of this. Also great great job on the video.
Hope to get it up on a lift and go over the entire car in more detail since it was nearly 100% stock. Just slowly getting started and you're a big inspiration! I'm learning from watching your videos. Keep up the great work!
@@BrotherTom Thanks a lot, that means a lot. I know your friends with Blue Oval Media. That guy is gonna be huge on here and definitely someone to watch closely.
Great video! Brings back a lot of good memories. Thank you!
I enjoyed the car meet but the best part of this was the Tyson stand in. Man I loved watching that dog on your story's on IG. I don't remember if I told you but the rescue dog we got recently is named Tyson and I always think of your Tyson when I do stuff with mine.
Thank you so much for watching, Matt! It makes me SMILE to know you rescued a dog and named him Tyson. I hope he can be your co-pilot sometimes too. I miss my buddy more than words can say, but he will live on in memory and will always be my best bud :)
@@BrotherTom 💯
Glad i found your channel, im in Oak Lawn, maybe next year i’ll have a chance to see it in person, subscribed for fox content
Such a classy build, not overdone, just perfect! Absolutely love it
Thank you very much for watching and commenting! Really enjoying this car 👍🏻
Beautiful car you got!!! Nice video
Beautiful GT! That's one of the cleanest hatches I have seen in a while.
Thank you very much for watching and commenting! I got pretty lucky finding this one!
I'm the same way. You have to have the whine of the centrifugal! Without it, what's the point. Such a sweet sound with the flow master exhaust. That's a awesome GT you have. Also that V8 Thunderbird was sweet as well. REALLY caught my eye.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Yeah that t-bird is ultra low mile all original paint and interior too
I have the same cam in my 90 GT... LOVE IT
Yeah it has a nice chop!
@@BrotherTom Yes sir.... BIG CHOP😁
Beautiful color!
Thank you very much! Hope you enjoyed the video!
New subscriber. Love the fox channels .
Thank you! I just checked out your channel too. Your fox is CLEAN!
I’m currently saving up for an 86 gt in the same color and pretty similar build. Hopefully I’ll be apart of the fox fam within a month or two. Anyways gorgeous car man the paint looks amazing even on camera!
Also located in the chicago-land area as well
Love the older 4 eyes! Good luck and come meet up at some cars and coffee meets this year. Thank you very much for watching 👍🏻
Yeah, the Maguires waterless wash is pretty good. I’ve tried several different brands. Adams I liked too.
Beautiful mustang..also love the color.
Thank you very much for watching, John!
Bro i have the exact same setup as you! I just need that supercharger! I will be getting it soon! Finally! I see those livewires lol yup i got those also awesome plus intake headers exhaust. And i upgraded to 340 aeromotive fuel pump E85 compatibility i hope to see higher hp numbers. Currently made 300hp 300tq with the top end kit
Awesome! Supercharger will easily add over 100whp+
59 and 19 not too far from where I live..Great video
Sweet sweet ride I have a 1991 GT in light titanium with 36,000 mi on it all original a garage Queen except on the weekend she comes out to play
Wow 36k mile GT? That's awesome! To be honest my car is a bit of a garage queen lately, but she comes out to play on the weekends too! Thank you for watching and commenting.
Tom love the mustang and the supercharger..
You should take a look at my product for polishing the car.
DFS Polish….
Kick ass and doesn’t streak.
Thanks
Craig owner and developer
That deep lopey sound 8:20
I did a feature video with that car! It is a beast! Check the channel if you haven't already. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Love the fox... cool as hell
Thank you for watching! Appreciate the comment too 👍🏻
You guys are all local to me. I'm overin Gilberts. Gonna be picking up a car from a friend back home in NYC over this winter - a '92 LSC w/66k on it. Just a heavier Mustang. Had an 87 back in '06 that went 12.80s on street tires. Hope to find you guys next car show season. Might even have the stick conversion done by then.
Those Mark VII LSC's are awesome! Good luck with that build.
Tommmmmmmmm love it
Thank you for watching and also for being a big inspiration! Just trying to keep the Foxbody interest alive 💪🏻
Love that car dude!
Gorgeous car
Thank you very much! Got lucky when I found this one!
Where you guys located!? Beautiful cars!!!
Hey we're in the Illinois burbs. Lots of nice Mustangs out here! Thank you for watching!
Great video Tom,loved it.
Thanks 👍
Man I miss mine it was white just about the same as that motor supercharger I miss it
I picked this one up a little over 3 years ago. I really missed having a Foxbody. It's never too late to get another one! Thank you for watching!
Beautiful 😍!
chuck that battery in the trunk chief use it for traction i did that in mine
Yeah I’m thinking of smoothing the engine bay next year and relocating the battery of course. I just got the car running right this year so I didn’t want to touch anything haha. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Wow I thought I had read that 375ish was all the stock block could handle on those. Beautiful setup.
Stock block should handle about 550-600 at the crank. It's usually high rpm that causes internals to fail rather than block splitting. I'm dropping my pulley size from a 3.33 to a 3.12 to get about 12# of boost and hopefully get another 30-40hp. Thank you for watching!
@@BrotherTom Do you mean like further than the stock redline? Just curious. I am looking for a fox and wondering how much HP i can get out of the stock engine. All the blowers I seem to see rated at around 350 HP but I'd like to be able to get to 400.
@@dennismonroe2369 I have a Trick Flow top end kit so my heads and cam are capable of 6500+ rpm all day. The problem you could run into is the stock crank not handling those high rpm. I have my rev limiter set to 6500 just to be safe, but try not to bounce off of it. Now if you have a completely stock bottom and stock heads you'll be limited to about 5500 rpm and your max hp with a supercharger is probably going to be closer to that 375 rating. I'm not an expert though so do ask around before making a decision.
Nice foxboys 🦊
Man the blue notch
That's Mario's car. We did a video together too. If you haven't seen it already it's on my channel!
@@BrotherTom just found your channel, love it! I grew up with fox body's , my first was 89 white gt with the 92 ponys. 68 thousand miles, factory 5 speed, had it in 1996 9th grade. Man I was hooked ever since and I come from a Chevy background lol great stuff here bud
351 Cleveland that I built. DECH notch back.
Looks like fun! Hope to do a show or two this summer.
I do a lot of Cars and Coffee lately. Starts early and ends early so you still have the rest of your day!
@@BrotherTom I’m out in Poplar Grove (Belvidere/Rockford Area). Do you gents ever have any events out this way? Where are they typically? I grew up in Melrose Park but loved out this way to start a family in 2000. Miss the burbs, the food and friends.
@@EverydayBBQ Most cars and coffee shows are downtown Elgin and South Barrington. Not sure of any further out west by you yet.
I had a 1988 and it had the exact same color interior.
That's awesome 🇺🇸
Hey thank you very much for watching!
That body style is heavy. I had the 88 version. I also had a notchback that car was light.
Notchbacks only a 100lbs lighter lmao
@@mach162 nothing a weight watchers diets cant help with lol
14:55 you are not kidding, beautiful.
He keeps that car so clean! Love seeing these mint condition, stock fox bodies!
I love the fox body (had an ‘87) but that supercharger still won’t walk a tuned gen 2-3 Coyote. Nice for nostalgia, but stuff a 4v 5.0 in that. And before any trolls talk, I have a blown s550 so shut it.
Hey thanks for watching! Yep this was a period correct build, which for me was what I always wanted growing up. If I really wanted to be ‘fast’ I’d go with a turbo coyote for sure, but not in my future at this time. I like this little street cruiser just the way it is 👍🏻
@@BrotherTom Beautiful car. Wish I still had mine.
I'm not sure if it's the same car,but if that white coupe with the 408 car is the same onethat was built by Panhandle Performance back in i think 99 maybe 2000. i got to ride in it right after they finished building it. was an amazing car and i think it had a pretty serios suspension for the time.
Nice ride Tom! Hey, I'm just curious, did you keep the 3.73's in and is that too much gear for your setup or just right? -Sean, California
I kept the 3.73 gears. I've had this ratio in all of my previous mustangs. I think it's a great all around gear for the street 5spd car, besides a 3.55. At 75mph I'm around 2300rpms. Not about mpg though...all about smiles per gallon! Thank you very much for watching.
Nice man.
Back when 450 hp was a ton of power. Looks good
Yep, in 1989 my car would be fast. Now some 4 cylinder honda might smoke me on the street haha! Thank you for watching and commenting!
What fuel pump and injectors you running ?
I've got a Walbro 255 Lph High Pressure Fuel Pump, Aeromotive Regulator and 60# injectors.
Wow reminds me of my old GT. I had it painted Bright Atlantic Blue. It was also AOD...but surely it's not THAT car....surely? lol
Haha..ya never know, however this car is actually Bright Regatta Blue and that was the original color before repaint. Definitely looks a touch darker than factory. Thank you very much for watching!
@@BrotherTom Ok gotcha. Was BRB done all solid like that? Or did they have all grey ground effects?
@@ccchicken8889 This was originally a two tone car so it did have the silver bottom. Personally I like the two tone GT's more lately since you don't see too many of them, but when I saw this one I had to have it.
Damn clean 🦊
I got lucky with this one for sure! Thank you for watching 👍🏻
Just followed you on ig brotha!
Your vortech looks like it would be a perfect fit for my. 63 ford falcon..is that a kit or did you piece it together . i have the 331 stroker..
It’s a V3 Si kit direct from Vortech although I did not use all the parts from the kit. Had the car tuned so no FMU and I got the UPR power pipe so I didn’t use their air box. On a 331 this kit would be awesome! Thank you very much for watching 👍🏻
Love the car. Tell me your "I dont want to sell it" price. I want to buy your car man.
Thank you very much! Car truly is not for sale, but I really appreciate the offer. Clean ones are getting harder to find, that's for sure!
Nice car !!!!
Thank you very much for watching and for the comment! I'll have more videos as soon as we get some decent weather over here.
Sexy car! That's my dream car
Love the chrome pony wheels.what size tires are you running and has it been lowered
Can't go wrong with chrome ponies! I did lower the car. I installed the SVE lowering spring kit with kyb shocks / struts. Drops the front about 1.5" and the rear about 1". Car also has Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates as well as MM lower control arms and full length subframe connectors. This is a great budget combination and the car rides great!
Oh and the tires are still 16" for now. Doing 5 lug conversion and rear disc soon.
Fronts are 225 50 BFG and rears are Nitto NT555R 245 50 Drag Radials. Love these rear tires!
Whens the next one. Just picked up a 92 foxbody
June 19, Sutton Ford in matteson IL for the Bleed Ford Blue Fest. Check out blueovalmedia.com and congrats on the 92 👍🏻
My buddy has a FOXBODY with a *SUPERCHARGED 351*
it's a vert and dropped on 19inch rims
ua-cam.com/video/3LzTuuDfA3M/v-deo.html
I don't necessarily like the 19's but it's clean!!
I'm loving the NoTCH!!
Too bad there are no Foxbody Mustang clubs where I live.
You might try starting one on Facebook. That's how all of ours got started. Always more fun to cruise with other cars so I hear ya! Thank you for watching!
She's Beautiful 😻
Yeah I got lucky when I found this one. Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
Been looking up n down for ah fox body . Lmk if anyone has one . Serious buyer
What color is that ? Love it !
It’s bright regatta blue, color 7H 👍🏻
Bad ass!!
Thank you for watching and for commenting! Hope to have more videos up soon now that the weather is getting better!
Where are you located man
We're all near Dupage and Cook County, IL mostly.
You have a custom tune or chip?
Still have the A9L with SCT chip and custom tune. Someday I’ll move up to a nice dart or boss motor and go with Holley efi stand alone, but for this setup the chip works just fine. Thank you for watching 👍🏻
@@BrotherTom Ah glad I'm not alone. I have a 347 NA with a custom tune Diablo chip and eventually want to go stand alone. Thanks for the reply.
Does that thing have a racing cam in it
No it's just a TrickFlow stage 1 cam that comes with he HCI kit
Beautiful car what color is that?
Thank you for watching. This is bright regatta blue 👍🏻
@@BrotherTom Looking to restore my fox body mustang and looking for a nice blue. Just not sure yet what blue to use. Looking at the Azura blue off of the Mach 1. The color you used does look great. Thank you!
Azure I ment sorry..
@@lmggee4458 Bimini Blue is another favorite of mine. The blue notch in my other video is that color. The Azura blue would be really nice too!
Lol those verts with the little back windows that won't go up or down hahaha. Probably one of the reasons they are worth only half as much as a hardtop. Junk
yeah whenever I see a vert with top down but the quarter windows up I know it's not by choice lol
Yahhhh. Dude. Bro. Get ya a ragg. Get ya a fox. Yaaaaa
Duuudde...yeah....duuuude. Let's see yours
Better be glad I wasn't there son ! Lol jk. Love the fox body, had several. Just very traction limited.... It's crazy to me to see a fer with traction problems around the 400ho level smh. I'll never own another vehicle again that isn't AWD.
Check out why I chose the 335: ua-cam.com/video/ZRhA7_fMSjk/v-deo.html
@15:00 time code. I had this friend that at 3:00 a.m. me and to go to work and freaking 6:00 a.m. I get a call from him man I need you to come pick come pick me up I got to take my lizard it's sick I don't know what's wrong with it you're the only one I know on this I'm not nobody else put up with his f****** lizard lick s*** you know when he came around you're going to go to one or two places one is going to be one reptile store and two would be another one on another those are the destinations that you go to unless I'm driving we actually had fun and we were like family Chris Newton was like a brother to me and you know I had this little gang going on of five bows it was pretty much the arrow dynamic 50s or fox bodies to the 98 that my friend Jimbo had he had a 98 is basically a roush mustang with the tunnel cover that sandwich is really bad ass and but like I was saying you know I never thought that this bastard would screw me over and then you show an 89 mustang how pristine and everything it was and I'm like I hate this bastards for f****** me over cuz I should have went for the loan and not have gotten the car because him selling the car and me buying it lifted a heavy weight off his shoulder of being able to buy a trailer yeah it was trailer trash for a long time and then he went and got a trans am cuz he's you know couldn't bear to live in my shadow cuz if somebody said oh yeah man that seems pretty cool well he had to get one cooler so I had an 89 mustang GT red stick shift 5 l t50 if you have a t56 and it with a 14 gear I was really good at kneeling I was just first third fourth and 6th that's where I got them you know it's like no you don't go for a second third for you go first third and I know you guys know that or you can just go second just got a second to third you can really rip them up I mean the 89 that I had with the Truman t56 14 gear and me I had it roasting all the way to 5th gear kind of freaked me out cuz I didn't know what damage and but getting back to this 87 blue mustang aod shift kit 373 gear was actually really fast believe it or not with no cam there was no higher can put in everything the engine will stop of course you know what room and see the front man seal the oil pan leaking and everything like that and I'm like this is like my boy first of all let me tell you a little bit about this in Michigan there's always a week where it is nice and I'm out and I'm seeing these guys rubbing up they're kind of crappy muscle cars and I couldn't compose myself into waiting so I call Crystal and so by the time everything had come to this point of selling and buying that well you just got had my father signed alone that was an unsecured person alone and he I wish he would have been looking out for me more but I could have been looking out for me more as well I could have been looking out for the snake in the grass that he was and I just couldn't believe I let him get me the way he did like is it already become snowing and by the time I came out there I'm driving up and he had already been starting at five times online you you having trouble and I just you know winter and all this stuff and winter really doesn't affect the car staying engaged unlike yours so I hopped in his car and then I can barely get out of the driveway and then get off and then we make a turn and another turn which going on to Allen road and I could not get it to stay running trying to get on Allen road.. so now I'm pissed and I can't even get in and out onto Allen road and it's like dude you drive it follow me I'm going to put in storage which makes a lot of sense by a hot rod and then put it in storage so I can sit like a groundhog and all this crap and well I had a bulleted sit until it was really nice out and damn sure enough look underneath it all the stuff and man half the oil had leaked out and I mind you I paid $7,000 and $200 but he got me good now I'm driving this car that will not stay running the only way it'll stay running is just running in order like if I was a race anybody I would have to put it in neutral and go back down first up cuz you know the aod with the beautiful Chris kit but this Walkman I think it was just amazing but yeah I feel you know the oil up to the top you know tops everything off and I drove it up to my driveway sitting in the driveway a new driveway that is and it just it was a lemon from the damn beginning and because I got an unsecured loan I wanted to give me some debit credit cards that helped me bye a brand new 347 motor I just the amount of money I put it into the C5 000 and 3,000 that's 8,000 and then I had an 86 ranger that I got a loan on for 6 grand and all of it went into the mustang I couldn't stand it anymore and plus I was going to ask my girlfriend at the time to marry me so I sold it to buy an engagement ring which by the way I had no no where near the funds that I put into this mustang it's late I want hand I want to be the s*** out of this f***** for what he did everything I had done for him and he does this for me it's like there to be Justice in the world this person needs to get his face stomped and hurt beyond belief this is a beautiful cars that about it really enjoy looking at these I mean there's no other car like the fox body as a 95 and that's 550s and then the first generations I'm not a big fan of the s197 and I am not a big fan of the second generation they're crap it sucks for me because I didn't have the ability to go out and earn money and have a job to where I can lose off of it and make payments and stuff like that and I had a file for bankruptcy and if I would have known that I could have kept the car but that bastard Chris Newton unless you should beat his ass but if you are in downriver area you would be doing the universe a huge favor if you were to stop his ass don't tell him to do that I'm just saying the Stars will align just right you'll see Orion's belt a Little Dippers Big Dipper Gemini they'll all come out in unison if you were to stop on his face many many times but I'm not going to tell you to do that
Change the tail lights!
Nope...#savethegraters!
stock is lame
Does that thing have a racing cam in it
It's just the TrickFlow stage 1 cam that comes with the kit. Not really a race cam, but it does works very well with these heads.
