Well when I still had the stock hood I had a GT-40 intake and had the lower shaved like 3/8 I think and I raised the rear of the hood about 1/4 with some washers

I almost got a 07 gt500 for a spanking hood deal but it ended up being more bullshit than anything! I ended up getting an e90 m3, last of the n/a performance bmw was putting out, but my dream car and goal is to get in a shelby gt350R
@@midnight347 you’re absolutely right about the 4.6 mod motor which is why I’m building my teksid 4.6 mod motor instead of coyote swapping it! It is just as capable as a coyote and people don’t seem to understand that, the only thing that the coyote has on the 4.6 dohc is variable valve timing and a little more displacement THATS IT!
I'm 3rd owner my dad was second on my 83
Is it stock bottom or do you have some different pistons in it?? I noticed you said .030 over just interested to see what compression it’s running now as the Lightning is like 8.8:1 on the stock heads. Also what cam is in the car it sounds beautiful.
I have a gen1 Lightning engine I’m looking to do some mods too.
Thanks and god bless.
The crank is stock upgraded rods and pistons compression is around 9.2:1 the cam is custom. Thanks
@@joesepanik5021 Shoulda added a stroker kit with them TrickFlow heads n cams would make much more power n torque..
@@joesepanik5021 where did you get the hood from? Love the look!
Boss Inc
Nice mustang
I'll take a 351 swap fox over a Coyote swap anyday all day. Something about those 351w motors
niiice hat's down man
That computer is the best!
How was the vortech supercharger mounted on the block with the deck height difference? @brothertom
Hey Derrik, here is the answer Joe gave to a similar question. "Vortech SI trim 302 brackets bolted to the head and just redrilled bottom hole to the block and made a spacer". Hope that helps!
What motor mounts did you use. The motor is sitting low enough almost for a stock hood
Stock and when I did have the stock hood the GT-40 intake was cut down and I still had to space the rear of the hood about an 1/8 inch
aaand yet someone else with a TKX... I've been on the list for 6 months. smh... Bad ass Foxbody fo SHO !
Hey you might try contacting Nick at Streetcar Shenanigans in Antioch IL. He’s a Tremec dealer and has been filling orders recently! That’s his 9 second Cobra in my other video too. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻
I ordered mine in January got it in may
Beautiful. Where did you get the bright blue body stripe?
Thanks and the stripe was from LMR it was a factory part
@@JoeSepanik is that factory for an LX?
I think it could have been
Awesome content, just subbed!👈💯
Thank you very much for watching and for the sub! I have more reviews planned so stay tuned!
@@BrotherTom Absolutely! Great in depth content. I enjoy the information and interviews with the car owners! Thanks!👈💯
Beautiful fox! I have a 93 351w as well. A supercharger is on my list. Did you have to do anything to the rear end and axles? Nice to hear about the tkx transmission too. I've had my eye on it...
Yes I did because I raced the car and put a spool and 35 spline axels in but if it’s just on the street I’ll be fine
@@joesepanik5021 what is your shifter setup and where did you get the carbon bezel?
What rear end gear dose the car have ?
Right now it has a 3:55
What rims & tires are on the mustang when not on the track ? What would you recommend for a 88 LX 5.0 w/ 4 lug original manhole cover rims - you've got a beautiful car for sure !
Same find unless I change over to slicks
As far a rims go to keep it simple LMR get rims there they should fit nice
Beaut car
If you mind me asking, which 4 lug rear axles are you using?
I have 33 spline strange I have a spool
❤😂😢😮😅😅😊 probably not stupid stories but good stories that’s one bad ass Mustang. I can’t wait until it’s done and I see the video if you’re gonna do one and I like all of the Mustang, but I prefer fox body better squat and move.
I know I’m not the only person who likes the car but doesn’t understand none of the car lingo for the parts
You're definitely not alone! While I understand a lot about these cars things like the meth injection were new to me. Learning as I go along. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Nice
What supercharger kit and bracket is he running for the 351w swap?
Vortech SI trim 302 brackets bolted to the head and just redrilled bottom hole to the block and made a spacer
Did you have any hood clearance problems? If so how did you fix it? Awesome car btw
With the stock hood yes
@JoeSepanik how did you fix the problem? What hood and modifications? My friend has 351w with v3 and cowl hood still hits. Thanks
Well when I still had the stock hood I had a GT-40 intake and had the lower shaved like 3/8 I think and I raised the rear of the hood about 1/4 with some washers
cool story
I was wondering what style of hood is on the vehicle?
Boss inc and they are no longer in business
4 Lug! Cmon dude.
I cant understand all the craze about the 5.0 coyote motor when they are expensive to buy and build for really no more horsepower you make you can get more bang for youre buck with a regular 5.0 or 5.8 push rod engine. Idk it just dont add up to me. 5/6/700 hp is all the same regardless of the engine.i guess people just want to say i got a coyote motor.
Mpg
Got him beat my 90 with 2 miles
Hes a badddd man
How did you get the Vortech to fit under the hood of the 351w?
When I had the stock hood trimmed the under hood braces and raised the rear an1/8 inch
Is is your supercharger aV-3 SI or a V-2 SI
That's a V2. The V3 is self contained so no oil line going to the pan.
