- Jakub's $5000 1987 Ford Mustang GT from TheStraightPipes CHEAP car challenge. We bought two cheap cool cars with a maximum budget of $5000 each. Yuri bought a 1994 Honda Civic for $3000 with a load of problems, and Jakub bought a $5000 1987 Ford Mustang GT Foxbody with even more problems. In future videos, we will take them on a road trip and take them to the race track. Watch this new series of Mustang vs Civic cheap car challenges and let us know which one you like more, and what else we should do with them.

I had a 94 GT about 20 years ago with bolt on mods. The mustang is everything a young goon needs to have fun. #1 the V8 has decent power and sounds great. #2 Stick shift increases the fun factor. #3 Rear wheel drive.
It's amazing that the current mustang 5 liter has twice the power of this mustang.

Jimmy Peña True but I like the way lighter cars feel in corners. Most cars now are very large compared the cars a few decades ago.
@@jimmypena2442 Not wrong, but you are comparing a 40 year old grocery getter platform designed in the mid 1970s to a 5 year old one that was designed to be a world class sports car. I own almost the same car as in the video and it really is amazing how far things have come in the last 10 years.

Watching this makes me feel so good about buying my 89 LX for $4800 last summer. The only issue I had was that that it got stuck in reverse, which was a known issue. Trans rebuilt, and it’s good as new.

This made me LOL. I had an ‘85 Mustang GT so I guess that puts me on Team Mustang. It was my daily driver when I got out of school and had no $$. Even drove it in the winter and got stuck at my corner in 5cm of snow 😂😂. It was extremely frightening to drive but thrilling at the same time. Sounded like monster. It burned oil and the best was when the shift lever linkage snapped half way up the Garden City Skyway. Good times! Hope you guys have a great time with this!

Im loving the stang. Back when I had my 88GT I had a very similar exhaust setup. I ran shorty headers, catless H-pipe with flowmaster 40 series mufflers turned down before the diff. That car was a 331 stroker and SCREAMED.
I love how he featured coincidentally my favorite UA-camrs.
LOVE the sound that Mustang makes! It has to be one of the best sounding engines on the channel! I look forward to all of your Top Gear-esque challenges! These cars are prime examples of the reputations Ford and Honda have for the quality of their vehicles. Ford is loud and exciting but many things will break or fall off over time, but with Honda you have something very sensible and something you can depend on to keep working over time. This has been a fun series so far, and I’m excited for what else you’ll do with these cars! Also, I don’t care how much “inspiration” you take from Top Gear, because they had amazingly entertaining challenges and they’re absolutely worth imitating.
It’s amazing how similar your videos can be to Top Gear, but with a MUCH smaller budget! Great job, guys! I’m excited for where your channel is headed; it’s clearly headed to glory!

@@JxH Have to learn to let off the clutch and not brake with those solid rear axle cars. I owned a 2000 and it took some getting used to, but you can understand why people crash them. As for the new Mustangs, people are too stupid and can't handle the power despite the cars having independent suspensions now.
