i don't know how i never noticed the flush glass feature, how beautiful! my parents had a w140 when i was a little girl and i've anyways loved their road presence. truly amazing cars.
Dear question, can I separate the double window and clean between them because there is dust that obstructs vision? I washed them from the outside and the inside, but there is no benefit to the dust in the middle between them.
The rear end of the W140 reminds me of a Toyota Mark 2 (JZX100) series 2 rear end. Cool video! New to learning about this chassis and it’s a very interesting chassis!
I’m considering one , but I was so set on the swb and they are harder to find , as s320 . Ive found one perfect in perfect color combo , but it’s a lwb . My dilemma . Thanks
The 1993 rear tail light bar is what the brochure looks like. However, it is made of 2 pieces that meet at the trunk key cover trim. Maybe marketing was trying to duplicate the earlier model look.
It was funny to see a Lincoln Town Car used as a taxi in Poland at 3:18, don’t know how the driver could make a profit driving around a rear wheel drive V8...
I still don’t understand what the hell a beltline or lack thereof on the W140 is. I’ve googled and other illustrations have it close with the description of the “shoulders” of a car. What is a beltline?? The G class and ML wasn’t clear at all to me. I just don’t see or get it. **ok just googled the w220. I see it now. No indentation on the W140 there. Just flat like this video says. That was tough, wOw.
@@HLClassics it really is. All I saw were beltlines on my way to work today🤣 Ur totally right. I can’t unsee it. Very interesting design or lack thereof in this 140 sedan series.
@@MERCEDES-BENZS600GUARD_V12 ok, if you type in w222 rear, or look at the rear of a w222, look on top of the gas tank. At the top of the gas tank, where it starts to curve inward. THAT is what the w140 does not have. Look at any 222 gas tank area is the best way I can explain it. The gas tank starts to curve inward because of the 222’s beltline that runs across the tank areas upper half when looking at the sedan from a side angle. The upper half gas tank area of the 140 is pretty much a str8 area with nO obvious indented striped beltline that would run across this upper area of the gas tank square, when looking at the 140 sedan from its exterior surface.

The W140s certainly command attention on the road. Very stately cars
I have a w140 S320 and love it every tiem I seat behind the wheel. The best of the best, although I have a 123, 107 and 126.
I just got my white knight 1998 S420 at the end of last year, and am going through the bittersweet process of the restoration to it's former glory.
Congratulations! Enjoy the restoration process
Yes yes more 140 content!! The 140 is dying, parts are hard to find but God damn what an amazing series of cars
W140 is the best S-classe ever!

Any Mercedes pre 2010 I enjoy. Love the w140!
You can say that again bro 👍👍👍👍
I drive an early ('94) S320 and i can find no equal to it. Ill have to drive it the rest of my life since any other car would be a downgrade.
Very true. This will always be a benchmark. It was the best car in the world of the 90s. Period.
@@HLClassics Exactly!
Glad you made a new video brother. Was longing for one. And umm a new fan ❤❤😎😁😁

The w140 is a nice car, when everything is working)) when something broke, you're screwed))

We feel the LWB looks better proportionally for the W140. And your passengers in the rear will love you for it.
Whats wrong with a lwb, i feel they look better

My 93 400 SEL is the ship I go down with. No question, anything else is a downgrade.

Once you see it, you can't unsee it. It is such a slab of a car :)
