It is a nostalgic helmet. I designed it when I was working at a Japanese helmet company 35 years ago. This air intake on my forehead was designed by me. The world's first air-cooled helmet. It was my youth.
O ok...thanks for the info 👌🏾
Ada monew nee oru killadi tanne..
😊
Cool 😎
You made the helmet and I made the Bondo most likely. I work at BPI coatings in olive branch Mississippi lbs
This channel helped inspire me to take on more side work. I work in a collision shop full time, but learning custom work is what really helped keep my wallet flush
I appreciate you for the support
Too bad more guys weren’t as smart as you .
In tried getting an engine cover painted at a reputable paint shop.
They said painting the emblem would be difficult .
And would use whatever paint they have .
They really didn’t care.
Which is sad because that’s domino effected into later business since I will never recommend them nor go there myself .
Dude, love your videos. Once I get my garage squared away, I'm going to start spraying due in no small part to your videos. They are easy to follow and you give a lot of good advice and tips. Well done, sir.
Thanks John

@Bruno Duncan yup, have been watching on flixzone for since november myself =)
Man that looks amazing!!! You can see the whole shop so clearly in the black like a mirror! Nice work man, be safe and healthy my friend!
Thanks Vinny G
No limit paint! You get that clean laid down smooth!
Thanks 🙏🏾
You really make it look easy. Thought, you know what, I can do that. Took a cheap £20 helmet and sanded it down. That’s probably we’re the easy bit finished. Everything else was a nightmare. Primer went runny and started dripping. First coat did not adhere well to primer. Ended up putting 4 coats. Didn’t dry for more than three days. Taped it up. Take edges didn’t hold tight and the second colour went into it, no clear lines. Third colour was ok. Finishing enamel didn’t dry after three days. Went to take take off, wasn’t pressing hard. Whole thing is a right mess. If thinking of painting your helmet, forget it. Might as well just throw it in the bin like mine.
Thanks man…I hate to hear you had so many problems with yours
It's the background music and the work. I will need that kind of work soon. I wish you were in cali. But I see you keep up the clever work!
Thanks Craig
All I can say is your are a master at what you do with that HVLP gun my brother

Thanks John
First time I saw your video. Great job my friend!
I'm glad you gave me a shot. Thanks
bro you so amazing I can’t stop watching your videos !
Thanks for the support TaylorSmithNotSwift
Straight heat! Just in time for warm weather. Thank you for the step by step. Also, how can I send you something like and address or PO box? I was wondering if you could use some things to make filming your videos easier. We got some small hand tripods that are "handles" when you are filming but you can set it down and keep filming so you can use both hands in those sanding shots. Your camera should just screw right down on it. If you don't need anything that's cool, just keep making these valuable tutorials
Here's my email sprayway123@gmail. I don't have a PO Box at the moment
This is solid. Def feel inspired to do my own helmet!
That's great, thanks for watching Dre Moss 👍🏾
Nice work. And did it one handed!
Thanks
Great job very educational one this I would recommend is a camera man or a stand so you can use both your hands but. Man you did and amazing job I give you an 11 out of 10 great work
Thanks for the tip
Great info and vid my man, a plan on doing lots of helmets so this is great information, thanks again dude😎✌️
Great. Thanks Ryan
@@SprayWayCustoms quick question, I'm doing to helmets right now, just to confirm is 400 the final grit to finish the primer and guide coat? For some reason I thought it had to be 600?
400 will be fine to spray base coat over. I always use 400
@@SprayWayCustoms perfect thanks again dude 😎
Nice work, defo a tinted visor would look cool
I agree...thanks
Amazing Work As Always! I'm amazeded at the masking skills!! 😎✊🏾
Thanks 🙏🏾
Great video Spray. Enjoy your work. Keep them coming.

Hardly 🤣 why would you repair a lid with damage, this is so wrong, this helmet needs to be in the bin.
Not his work but what he started with
Man. Nailed again. That looks sweet. Love the color scheme. Dale Earnhardt colors.
Thanks Brandon
DAMN! Now that is some fine work Sir...
Appreciate you
Once again amazing job I'm about done with the body work on my 96 Chevy Silverado so I'm almost ready to Candy paint and I was wondering how much primer and candy paint do you think I will need ? and I'm getting that same kind of paint that you be using
I would recommend getting a gallon and a half to be on the safe side because it's not fun running out during the process.
I was sent by typing in painting a helmet lbs. Came out nice mane
Thanks a lot
@@SprayWayCustoms going to try to paint one on a budget. I got it for $10 and it doesn't match my bike. Thanks for the sanding tips mane💪
Love your awesome talent. Thanks for showing the process.
My pleasure. Thank you
This is sweet man, thanks for the video. I am painting one this weekend.

I wish I lived closer to you bro! Do you ever get requests for custom airbrushing, I airbrush and it would go nice with your clean ass work! Good job and keep it up!
Thanks David. I do but I've never airbrushed. I have a few airbrush guns but never used them 🤦🏾♂️
Man those fiberglass door panels and other fiberglass interior parts you do would be perfect for me to airbrush on I wish we were closer. Thanks for doing the videos man your teaching so much different stuff.
@@daviddillard5834 That is what the postal service is for LOL ;)
Don’t have a air brush! if I was to use spray paint, what should I go for. Primer and finishing paint advice please. Love your work
Get the attachment for spray cans to achieve a better fan pattern
Excellent job! I’m inspired!
That's great... thanks
Hey Sprayway you ever paint home appliances? I had a paint guy here in Texas that did a washer and dryer for a customer...air brush and whole 9 yards....then the referrals came 1 after another...he got to doing as many appliances as cars.. every man cave and and she shack in town had custom painted fringe...
I painted the top of a stove before, that's about it
Another job well done Sprayway
Thanks
Great paint job 💪🏾 that helmet is not safe though the dent in the shell mean the EPS is likely compromised it wont dissipate energy anymore so whoever is wearing that God forbid they took an impact they would suffer a worse head injury...
Thanks 🙏🏾
🙏🏿✊🏿
Great job! I’m a fellow painter and that’s solid work! 💪🏽👍🏽
Thanks Percy
No problem bro

Wow that looks really nice. Good job.👍👍👍
Thank you Steve
Here's a question for you has anyone ever asked you to put a custom paint job on a casket ? Like the USO lowrider club did for Kita when he passed away.
No but that sounds interesting PSE
Nice job man
Thanks
Looks great, but why spray so much red just for those thin lines....seems like a waste of paint?
Thanks Darnell...I agree
Ok real clean and nice. ✊🏾
Thanks Family
Man that came out nice, did you color sand it too or it just comes out that wet looking
No color sanding. Thanks for watching
Nice job. Thanks.

Damn dude! that’s quality work!
Thanks a lot
Awesome job my friend that helmet looks fantastic, love the silver and black with the red pinstripes 👍👍😊
Thanks David
You’re welcome buddy I’m definitely a fan of your work 👍👍😊
Yo i dk if u know but some jackstands were recalled from harbor freight fallin down on people looked like the ones u have . check the serial number
Thanks for that info. I need to look into that
I don’t know anything about paints. Generally speaking what kind of spray can paint should I buy and where? Thanks for the vid!
It depends on what you trying to accomplish Alex
Nice job!!! after you apply the clear cloat, you sanded ? thanks
So you don’t have to do anymore sanding at all until after the clear coat? The layers of paint don’t need sanding in between? Or if you tape off designs, you don’t need to send everything before final clear coat?
You don’t have to sand if you don’t let it sit too long
@@SprayWayCustoms right on. Thank you for responding as always. I’m learning pinstripe and lettering and gilding right now. Paint too but I live in an apt so can’t paint much. No room for the equipment and both so I’m using expensive aresol paint right now. Practicing on all my helmets then I’m going to do my bike over and over until it’s where I want it. Then I hope to have somewhere to do bigger projects and have the equipment to to spray the paint and flakes that I want. But honestly, these $20 and up rattle cans look professional if done right. Love your work. I live nearby and I’m surprised as many nice cats and classics around here, not many people are rolling with your caliber of paint work on their cages. I don’t get it. Thanks again
Holy jumping Enchiladas you killed it again brother totally amazing
Thanks PSE
wow, just fresh
Thanks Kevin
Looks very good!
Thanks
Did you left the paint dry before clear coat or did you just put clear coat after you finished painting?
#SprayWayCustoms masterpiece hands are one of a kind #keepgivingame2playdagame

Such talent bro. I am so sorry for all the BS happening in the USA against the African Americans. Do not let anyone treat you any different. All Lives Matter.
Thanks Mark
Good work, love everything you do!
Appreciate you
Very nice job on the helmet.i have a question for you I'm about to repaint a set of calipers that are on now powder coated black if I scuff them up to repaint do I have to use a high heat primer or will the old powder coat protect the new paint
Just scuff and paint will be fine. I always use regular automotive paint and clear and never had a problem
@@SprayWayCustoms ok thanks
That's exactly what I would like done with my open face Harley helmet. How can I contact you?
sprayway123@gmail
Beautiful job!
Thanks
you know what i see in that helmet after the new color scheme a high tech helicopter from airwolf ^ _ ^
Thanks Alberto
Make sure that jackstand you have is not one of the harbor freight recalled jackstand. It look kinda like that one you have.
Sure will. I just got another comment stating that. Good looking out
Good job mane!
