    Awesome! I age my cheapo store-bought skulls with wax stain, which is kind of expensive but goes a long ways. I think I'll try the watered down brown acrylic. If you kind of dab at it w/ a rag or paper towel you can get some cool textures. I LOVE the wall effect, I've got to try that next year, you do some very creepy stuff here!

    Q: What stain or paint did you use on the wall mural behind you, that color looks great.
    Q: Can you re-heat the plastic to seal the cut you made in the back of the skull? Can you melt pieces together?
    Last Q: Where did you get the skull that you're using as the mold?
    *Another way to do the teeth is to just antique them. First paint them, then coat with clear medium, then just brush all the teeth w dark stain or paint, wipe off excess. The dark stain will get stuck in the cracks. You might want to press in harder w/ an embossing tool as you're melting the plastic to get the best detail.

    • @CreepyCraftyCreations77
      @CreepyCraftyCreations77  Рік тому +2

      I don't actually melt the milk jug plastic. It's more of softening it enough to reform it. I use hot glue to reattach the seam. Thanx 4xwatching.

    You could try washes for highlighting between teeth & in cracks (dark brown colours and/or reds). There are ready made washes or just water down acrylics or thinned stains would pool in these places well. Keep on creating!

      That was my question too: spray paint the inside black and cut out the eye and nose sockets etc? Seems like it would be just as quick and avoid the shiny reflections from the black paint. Especially if the skull is going to be mounted like shown in the background

    Not sure if anyone asked where is your haunted house ? We have a really popular one here in Jay Florida it’s in the woods but not very good it’s only popular because there is not a lot of competition for them here in NW Florida. Where I’m from north Ga, Newnan. Which just happens to be where they film Zombieland & Walking Dead etc. competition for haunted houses is big out churches have them for fund raising. Like your channel I have subscribed, good luck to you!

      Hello, I appreciate your concerns for my well being and will take your advice into serious consideration . What no1 sees or realizes . Is that 2 feet on the other side of the camera is an open end of my shop. which is an 8ft x 8ft opening and I have an exhaust fan running right before that area. Also if u ever notice on the other end of the shop above the dewalt compressor is a white blower fan that pushes air out and away toward the opening. So when I say well ventilated , its not an over exaggeration. I do value your concerns and will take them seriously. Thank u

    You could black out a few teeth. That would look cool. Also, on the white skulls, you could use some of yellow stain on the teeth. That would be a cool look as well. On your sharpie outlines, you could go over those with paint to break up the lines.

    poke a little hole in center of eye sockets after shadowing...
    get a cheap strand of red Christmas lights (or any color you prefer) can find strand of lights for $3 at dollar general...
    and poke a light through tiny eye socket holes...

  • @dirk2655

    You need to invent adhesive multicolor shrinkwrap (transparent and nontransparent) for Norman, Ramona and grandson LJ. Call 3M...be sure you can paint over that Shrink Wrap and that you can order the exact blend of colors preordered in their variaties (the foundation makeup for all your skulls and their varieties) and the shrink wrap that adapts to your skulls easily with the hand held machine so you only need to add fine detail...your artwork...without painting soo much. What you need is a textured canvas shrinkwrap that works unlike a canvas and creates texture...for painting. I think you can also make your own dip to create a mask...using home products. For example, using casting techniques like plaster of paris instead of spray paint..or you can combine..you're the expert artist.
