The hydraulic cylinders won't move without pressure, they have check valves for safety. You usually need to push the valve open with a thin prod ( whilst the load is being taken by lifting equipment)

If those HVAC systems had electric motors on them aswell they'd probably make excellent shop Aircon systems. Park it up, plug it in. Wow Dave what a bunch of goodies . As I said on one of your other vids , when trying to start, a better option than bursts of starting fluid is WD 40 , you can spray it continuously & add small bursts of start fluid if necessary, the WD adds lube for the rings

This video is quite insightful on how Dave's business works and how extensive it has become.
You often see the shop, the hangar, the area around the shop, and the vehicles, like snapshots of the whole operation. I wondered where all the stuff from recoveries went or if it has already been sold. Now I know. 😅
I hope a lot of the machines and vehicles find buyers and will be used again in the foreseeable future.
In my opinion, rebuilding and repairing such equipment is an important part of sustainability.
This might turn into one of the most interesting video series for me personally.

I personally would find a very well known equipment auction and put one of each item he has several of just to see what happens while it’s still warm outside, that $50k will come back so quick

Once the deal was struck, I would have put one of the crew up there in a travel trailer or motor home to keep an eye on things. I too would hate to leave and worry some rando comes on the property or the seller decides just to "grab a few things" after he realizes he sold too low.

This is crazy for me to see all these military trailers here, because I work at the company that made a lot of them. Especially the first tan ones they loaded at 3:34.
We've made so many trailers like this that just end up in a warehouse somewhere for YEARS, then just get sold as surplus, yet these things are heavy duty aluminum tube framed trailers with a hydraulic shock.
its honestly funny how often we get calls from some random guy who bought one of our trailers from a surplus sale/auction and are asking for some technical support while they gut it to use in some project.

Dave! Dave! I watch these episodes in complete joy, sometimes I worry about the safety and how they do things, I suggest Dave gets a motor home set up to be used at sites for security whilst doing stuff like this but also as a mobile first aid station, especially when working remote, giving the guys a fall back station which would also be used for lunch room and sleeping and of course toilets.
At least it would be somewhere with all the emergency stuff that may be needed, You deal with high-pressure oil and I have seen what happens when oil leaks out or hydraulic lines go.
A friend lost his hand when a line burst and the oil jet was like a laser cutter Fortunately a hospital (and a Helicopter) were close by.
A big-arse RV setup would be a great addition to the team.
