When you start your 10th Skyrim playthrough

- That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the edge of Helgen. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to Bleak Falls Barrow. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Whiterun hold. And I figured, since I've run this far, maybe I'll just run across the Great province of Skyrim. And that's what I did. I ran clear across Skyrim.

In Solstheim if you climb to some peaks then you get the hidden mark left on them, so you can fast travel there. They added it for mountain climbers in Skyrim.

The fact that he went to get the dragon tablet before going to whiterun shows it really is his 10th playthrough
I accidentally did that on my first playthrough as the first quest I did.
As soon as I got to Riverwood I immediately went to the merchant to sell all the junk I grabbed from the escape and the merchant was like "hey some bandits up the hill took my gold claw" and I was like "I got you bro!" and off I went. I didn’t even grab the free stuff you get from Alvor.
@@sevegarza Going to bleak falls barrow to get the golden claw is basically the intended path. You would expect people playing an rpg like skyrim to actually take some time to look around and find the local shop before moving on, and then engaging when they see the "cutscene" with the siblings arguing. Even the dialogue for when you talk to the guy that stole the claw assumes you've started that quest. It gives you the option to say "where's the golden claw" or something along those lines, even though if you hadn't gone to the riverwood trader you wouldn't know what the golden claw even is, much less that this guy would have it.
First time some guy and his daughter yapped my ear off. Turns out it was actually helpful. 6.5/10
I don't think I've ever done a playthrough where I didn't already have the dragon stone by the time I got to Whiterun.
@@T0NI_that text option shows up even if you don’t talk to the store owner because about halfway to the guy with the golden claw, you’ll encounter two bandits and if you listen to their conversation you’ll notice they’re talking about it, but most don’t notice because they’re too busy killing them lol.
There are times though in the game when a dialogue option appears that makes no sense in context. In the butcher quest in Skyrim, you’ll never talk to Calixto once while following the quest. The only time he has any relevance to the quest is if you happen to talk to him after investigating the Windhelm home to which he will try to bribe you to keep quiet. Despite this, when talking to the court mage your character will mention Calixto as if he was involved in the quest. Probably another example of a quest that has missing components or was unfinished.

I love that Farengar the court wizard actually has new dialogue options if you bring the Stone tablet to him before the quest set by the Jarl activates.
It's the small things in this game that really make it such a masterpiece. ❤
I recently discovered this because I have recently started a new play after ignoring it for a couple of years
And I completed 4 quests before I ever got any towns
Then I turned them in and I had enough to go buy myself a house
there's also an exceptionally rare one where if your magical talents are high enough and the yarl "told you to help farengar but hasn't gotten to the room yet, you can attempt to get info on the "project", farengar will ignore you like always, but then, there's a special line of text involving a magical prank.
I've never actually gone to Whiterun before getting the tablet. EVER.
I think I only completed it once after speaking to him. Because in bleak falls barrow you get the golden claw so I just want to help the father and daughter before leaving Riverwood

1st Playthrough intro : "Woah, who are these blue guys? Why was I being executed? WOW A DRAGON."
20th playthrough intro : "For the love of Talos, get this over with."
I'm on my 3rd play through. Yes, I know, I got started late in life... lol. But I'm already clicking everything I can to get dialogue to end. "Yeah, I know, you're a bad ass and think this is beneath you. But you'll be kissing my ass when I finish it. So.... shut up so I can get on with it."
Oh, and there's the whole... "For the love of Talos, I swear they make some of these dungeons longer everytime you start a new game. I don't remember that waterfall or the ancient Dwemer city of New York being in this Drauger cairn before. Where's Nord Uber to drive me through the bad parts of town when I need it?"

Pathetic.jpg
You're probably aware of this but there's a mod called 'Alternate Start - Live another life' that does exactly what it says on the tin. Using the mod I've had characters play through to level 30+ without ever even seeing a dragon.
There's a wide variety of start options from being an outlaw, to having just arrived on a ship to Dawnstar, to being a thief in Riften, to being a necromancer in BlackReach. (That last one is *hard* BTW - Blackreach was not intended for Level 1 characters...)

I don't even say that and just immediately start playing stealth ranger.
It's just too much fun, especially with all the endless hand-holding turned off (no auto-aim, arrows fly properly, etc). Shots take skill and feel so good when you pull off a long-distance snipe from miles away.
It's the best combat Skyrim has to offer without needing a massive overhaul.
Just started my first playthrough after almost three years, it really feels like I’ve returned home after a long time away.
How many times did you remake you character, and why did it always end up a stealth archer?
For me it's been 10 years and god damn it's good to be back
The fact that I’ve had 10 playthroughs and I haven’t even finished the games main quest line yet.
I have at least 10 characters, somewhat about 2000 hours played, but also never made it to the end xD
What main quest line I did not know there was one , fucking snap leg cave.
tbh the alduin main questline is boring and unrewarding, it felt rushed like they split the team into two for the civil war line and the dragon line so we just got two 50% effort questlines. I finally finished it like a year ago, and I was shocked at the fact that the most unique item I got to bring back from Sovengard was a roasted ox head. Charging into battle as a chad warrior is always more fun than painfully crouch walking everywhere.
@@kyju733 to me it just seemed super OP how you could just sit from a distance and kill everything without even being noticed, that is until the game randomly decides to switch to forsworn arrows ofcourse
Meh, crazy alchemist/armorsmith/enchanter hobo man who just runs naked with a wooden stick that does 10 billion damage and two rings that give him 10 billion HP and 10 billion carry weight

The music brings so much nostalgia it’s when you fight to
Man that first play was something. These games are meant to be played with heavy immersion.
The techniques used to make Forest look like he's actually there remind me of the making of Forest Gump when they show how they fit him into the 1950s footage.
God and Jesus love you
like when he went into the school behind the black girl? XD
Oh this was photoshopped? I thought this was him in Vietnam.
No way, and all this time I thought he really WAS in vietnam!
Who here remembers triggering everyone in river wood after killing a chicken
And then everyone in river wood.
I played Skyrim before it was meme, and I remember having my path blocked by the chicken on my first playthrough. I was so confused at everyone suddenly trying to kill me after a stabbed _a chicken._ That's when I knew I would spend 1000 hours in this game.
Brooooooooooo on my momma 😭😭😭😭 like wtf
Having to avoid like 3 groups of hired thugs. Hard knock life.
And I did that day 1 of release.
this is brilliant
How the hell did UA-cam know that I just did this very thing this week and recommend this video to me?
Such timing
"I used to be an advertiser like you, until I took an arrow to the knee."
"I got shot in the butt-tocks..."
Some random Jarl: well that must be a sight!........ I would kinda like to see that..... "Awkward silence follows"
God and Jesus love you
@@fauxbitties They speak very highly of you, also.
@God is a stupid idiot f*cking assh*ole bit*ch And your point is....?

Arngeir: So... a Dragonborn appears, at this moment in the turning of the age.”
Gump: I need to pee.

Forrest Gump really has the makings of a varsity dragonborn here
