In the mid 80s I knew a guitar collector/ builder in El Paso, Tx. who claimed a guitar he had for sale was that guitar that Larry Byron is playing in that video. He had some paperwork that certified it. He wanted $800. I wish I would have bought it, but at the time I just didn't have the money.

No. Real original Rock and Roll was Bill Haley & The Comets, early Elvis Presley, early Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran. But this is good Hard Rock.
I loved playing this song on my Gibson SG guitar in my 3-piece rock band, Crisp, around 1975. I remember on break, one stoned dude said, "Hey, play that motorthickle song again" !!! I'm 73 now, and still playing guitar (at home). Got to see Steppenwolf at a Coliseum in 1969. Fabulous!!!

I rode over to the hotel they were staying at in Denver on my 55 FL and they were just coming out the front heading to dinner and the guys freaked out when i pulled up.. taking a chance i threw all the steppenwolf album covers and 1 Sparrow i had in my saddle bags. The timing was perfect. I asked if he would sign a couple covers and he goes , sure. So i grabbed all of em and Jhon says , I thought you said a couple ,laughing. I said yeah a couple few. John signed every one of them while the guys checked out my bike. (55 pan on a 48 wishbone ,MT clutch ,fish tails ,apes , and their favorite colors , black over silver) That was alright of John to take the time to sign all the covers. He could have signed just one and i would have been cool with that. Anyway i wanted to share that with you. Have a good one

Just a great band. A lot of great songs and way ahead of their time in skills.
