These guys continue to amaze us the way they break things then repair them. The new configuration on the Mini Mater looks better. Good video and content!
lot of folk don't realize it. but they do make a driveshaft balance ring. Same concept as the rings truckers put on each wheel. Advantage on driveshaft is if it gets ding etc. the ring will adjust for the off balance that created..... keeping it in balance. .
Mike That’s pretty bold of you saying that at end of video If we see you on the next video we will know that Rory only docked your pay instead of letting you go! 😂
FORD, Found On Road Dead, Firetrucked On Race Day and possibly more than that. Great Video Shawn's a beast at splitting wood and Thank for taking us along on the road and the shop.
If you don't use stuff it never breaks. When you use your vehicles as hard as you do they will break. You simply rebuild them, fix the weak links and make them even better. I like form following function. Making stuff too nice doesn't make sense if you actually use them for what they are designed to do. My vehicles are shiny and clean for the most part, still get them out and if they get scratched or seriously dirty on the trails I'm ok with that. Of course, I'm not running a recovery business or driving nearly as hard as you guys do...Rock on!
I'm pretty sure I understand what Rory was saying, being almost 50 and a fine Connoisseur of 80s movies, when he said Mike had his hat backwards while driving a diesel truck, Mike had an "Over The Top" moment 😅 Great 80s Stallone movie! I grew up in a big Rig with my friend and his Truck Driver dad! And we would watch all of the Hot Rod and Trucker movies! I miss Big Bill , he was a second father to me! Over The Top Mike!
solar trickle charger for that bus's batteries might help keep the batteries fresh. even my work truck peterbuilt loses enough charge if its not ran in 3 days. to require a jump. those big engines need alot of cracking amps
Sorry you had all those issues on your trip back from your event But at least you are able to get them worked out without too much difficulty. Getting everything back up to snuff for the next event. Hope the expense wasn't or isn't too bad. Sometime it seems that you guys are bleeding money all the time. to keep your vehicles working. Best of luck to you that that trend slows down for quite a while. The new or reworked bumper looks good.
You can nerf things pretty hard with that bumper. I also am prone to overbuilding things, and it works out pretty good. Can't wait to see the light bar light up the beautiful rocks yous drive around on.
Just went through Moab in a built XJ i bought in phoenix arizona. A few miles out of Moab the transmission went into neutral. I was thinking about Rory. 😂 Thankfully it was just a loose negative terminal. 🙏
You know they say grease it works, but like you new grease things are like a New Year’s promise you change them and when they fail you once again replace and make a new promise.🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅😅😅
I asked Grok why are off road bumpers called nerf bars The answer is pretty neat "Off-road bumpers are often referred to as "nerf bars" due to an interesting historical connection. The term "nerf" does not directly relate to the soft, foam toys we know today but rather originates from the 1960s and 70s off-road racing scene: Nerf Balls: In off-road racing, particularly in Baja and other desert races, drivers would attach foam balls or "nerf balls" to the ends of their bumpers. These were used to soften impacts when vehicles made contact with each other during races, reducing damage to both vehicles. The name "nerf" for these foam balls is thought to come from the idea of "nerfing" or reducing the impact force. Nerf Bars: Over time, the term "nerf bar" became associated with any protective bar or bumper designed to take the brunt of collisions or impacts. Off-road bumpers, which often included these protective elements, were thus dubbed "nerf bars" even if they didn't have the literal foam balls attached. These bars are intended to protect critical vehicle components..."
It must be the moon phase as all the Man-Ginas are expressing their discomfort to the wrong content for their liking. Me I love the everyday variety cuz we all know "if it ain’t one thing, it’s another" gotta roll with the punches and I truly enjoy the style of rolling
Big fan. You never realy can see how extreme some of you offroad angles truly are. For less than $20 on amazon could you get a magnetic inclometer put it on your dash or werever to really show some of the more extreme angles you just cant see describe on camera ?
You guys should consider hiring another guy or two when spring comes. Off-roading and Trail Mater are both getting popular. I have the feeling business is about to increase.
DANG!!!!! Shawn is a wood splitting BEAST!!!!!
Damn sure is !
I love chopping wood! I can watch it all day.

Circuit board medics has been good to me with turbo actuators, fast and reliable so far
I like that look.
I am sure you find something but they make a really nice billet actuator that doesn't take any programming.
Good afternoon gentlemen 🤙🏻😎
Justin is a SAINT for working through all that footage which is clearly filmed by 6 and 7 year olds!
Thanks guys!
Awesome
Great video
Thanks for watching
I like the new look ✓. The light bar on my truck roof makes a little wind noise , so I'll check thrm out ✓

Was a sad day when moab lost there Arby's 😢 crazy there finally taking down the cable car set up that never happened!
Time for some repairs and redoes on several of the recovery vehicles and other things.
As you were putting U-joint together, I wondered if it was out of balance and if a new drive shaft would be in order. Great video guys. 😊😊😊😊
Had a problem of some sort. They don't even know what a driveshaft is.
Mini mater getting the hannibal mask upgrades
Most people don't know that the run from Moab to Grand Junction is not a quick trip.
You really should have a shop set of keys as a backup for when the boss takes the road set on another run.
👍
welcome to the lots of Ha ha Ha Channel ..

Proper preventative maintenance go a long way 😂

You guys should consider hiring another guy or two when spring comes. Off-roading and Trail Mater are both getting popular. I have the feeling business is about to increase.
3:51 the real question: did you time the grease fittings? It only took me about 50 u-joints to get that right the first time
10:28 This Old Tony moment
you know....if Sean keeps hitting that wood with an axe, it's gonna split, and then it won't be good for anything but burning...:P
Little trick for splitting wood. Put the log inside an old tire.
12:30 Missed opportunity to call him a scruffy looking nerf herder
Watching you use the bender makes me think of Futurama ;- ) How messed up is that ?
Now I know why I saw Irish coming out of riverside
Show? Everything is backing down?
❤❤❤
put your blocks of wood inside a tire ,when you split they wont jump out, pro tip from wisconsin
The new front bumper looks like the front of an old football helmet.
2:51 you ever torch the caps out?
That helicopter is a K-1200 KMAX built by Kaman Air Vehicles. Ask me all about it, I work there!
We don't need no stinking log splitters😅
