      The internet is dead. Look up Dead Internet Theory (which it isn't a theory BTW) and it's pretty scary how the big tech companies have worked to censor us. This is what happens when money and greed ruin us all in unchecked crapitalism.

    Any way to do the opposite; i.e. map non-combined pedals as a single axis (i.e. for a throttle slider)?

  • @toddlillo

    G923 setup - when i use combined pedals mame won't recognize when i press the accelerator (will recognize brake & clutch). When I do standard (uncombined) it will recognize the accelerator, but playing outrun I can tell my accelerator is only giving 50% power output. Same for brake.
    I'm thinking I can work a combination somehow, I think I can eventually get it to work in reverse with accelerator somehow but I had to split so I didn't 'reverse' pedal 1 (yet).
    If someone knows why my accelerator won't trigger when combined plz lmk = (

    AFAIK MAME spells not "meim", but simply M.A.M.E. "A" like in "cAr", "E" like in "tError". That is a pun. Mame (豆) is a name of Japanese soybeans. You put a lot of them in a barrel, and get something good, like tofu(豆腐), miso, or kinako... it can also get very smelly and slimy like natto(納豆). You know, most arcade machines were designed in Japan....

    Clear explanation but why in some games I don't remember if in the analog inc or dec I don't remember which one says KBd or button 1 or 2, do you know an explanation of this? excellent contributions mister, I thank you for the San Francisco rush FFb

      Nothing should be mapped to the Inc or Dec inputs unless you are using a digital input like a keyboard or the X button on your Playstation controller. If you are using an analog input such as as pedal, blank those out and only map to the regular analog pedals.

    Thanks for a great video. I'm having issues configuring my Logitech driving force GT with mame. I initially tired it with the win 10 drivers (combined) got the pedals working, but was having an issue with the wheel, so I then installed the logitech gaming software and it looks very similar to yours at the begining of the video.
    The challenge I am having is if I press on the pedals, it comes up combined, then in mame I don't have a chance to press Enter and select other options as my UI stars scrolling downwards and I have to press ESC to go back a menu.
    Can I ask for your MAME config file for the logitech for a game so I can edit manually or do you have any idea why it's scrolling?

    • @DarthMarino
      @DarthMarino  6 років тому

      I get the scrolling issue when they are combined but not when they are separated. Maybe try both and make sure the wheel is as centered as possible.

    Hello mate,
    Thank you so much for the video, I've got the gas pedal working, however whenever when ever I lift my foot up it starts to brake automatically.
    I've tried the "Pedal decrease" setting that to my brake pedal, but it doesnt seem to work, because when I lift my foot from the Gas, it breaks.
    It needs to be "neutral" when I lift my foot from the gas,, is there somewhere I can configure this?
    Thank you for your help mate, and have a wonderful day.

    • @morpheusmatrix7338

      No, don't map anything do the Inc or Dec. Don't map anything to the brake at first. Just try to get the gas to work.

      @morpheusmatrix7338 6 років тому

      Alrighty, so I did what you said and that works just fine. I mapped the "Joystick x -" to Pedal, and it accelerates when I press it down. Afterwards I tried brake pedal on "decrease" but it doesnt seem to work,,, its as if doesnt brake hard, but slowly decreases the speed :) . But the Gas alone works fine.
