Would you have any idea how i should set up a Driving Force Pro steering wheel with Chase HQ on mame? The menu when i press tab is different than your one.I really want to get this game working with this wheel and set up the gear shifter to work?
Triple tap the brake and gas pedal each time when you’re ready to input your command. This will prompt the negative value you need for your brake and acceleration to function correctly. Hope this helps
I had all my mame roms cfg files as read only so it would not save controls, so i highlight all .cfg files in the cfg folder and right click and choose properties and deselect read only, because of a coinops build i was using took for ever to figure that out, thought id share if any one else was running into this problem, also only other tip is if you have lots of controllers i.e. light gun arcade sticks wireless xbox flight sticks set them up in mame all at the same time and keep them in same usb slots mark them so they never mix up and make sure they are all on and powered up in the same order every time to retain their slots.
2:56 If you have a setting for "Paddle Analogue", you shouldn't have _anything_ in the Inc and Dec settings, as they are to emulate an analogue controller if you only have non-analogue controllers. So it's an either/or thing. You should also get some foot peddles..trust me on this.
Spectacular the idea of the steering wheel 😍 Paddle analog in Joy 1 causes some problem in other 2d games, I recommend set the mouse X axis by default and leaving only inc / dec as joy right and left. Some 3d games like Cruise 'n Use yes, needs the analog (and adjust controls with F2) What do you think about set 'dead zone of joystick' to 0 / 0.1 (default 0.3) and the 'saturation joystick' to 0.9 / 1 (default 0.85)? Regards
@@WillOnParade I bought a logitech with a clutch and the menu keeps scrolling down. Is MAME defected? I downloaded a new one thinking it would fix it but nope!
Something isn’t configured right in your controls. Disconnect the wheel and just keep the keyboard connected or connect a usb controller and go into the controller settings.
Hi, I have a Logitech g920 and in most mame games, I have to turn the wheel way to far in one direction before it even registers in the games, basically its not sensitive enough. I've increased the Paddle Sensitivity in the Analog settings to the max but it didn't really do anything. Do you know what the problem is?
the in-game configuration menu should have sensitivity settings. Each game is different. Its basically the same menu in every MAME game that has the coin/credit options and other game specific settings that are not found in MAME settings.
Just use analogue Inc on TTRS, then go to analogue input adjustments to make sure you're not still on half throttle and reverse on or off pedal button also if necessary
is there a tutorial on how to use your G29 to navigate through the Hyperspin Wheel?
What is the model of wheel and pedals you have? Looking for something cheap enough to experiment with
what wheel degree you use...i found 120 - 160 degree are best for me in old classic racing games.

My issue is gas and break don't work
Same

Thanks dude. This was pissing me off as well lol.

vf is a pain its too sensitive even at 1
Will this work with all emulators ps2?

very cool which theme are you running? that theme would be great for my vertical setup
Hi, why you need to setup the top paddle analog if you already setup analog dec and inc to left and right? thanks. i have t300 rg gt if this matter.
It’s just the way mame works it didn’t work right when I didn’t set up paddle analog first.

What version of Mame are you using? Thanks for the video mate
It don't have the arcade machine. But I think it was mame 2003.
Cool set up. Where did you get you’re hyperspin set up?
i would also love to know where to get this hyperspin setup
There's a guy I know that sells it 150
Thanks brother

Hmm could be the wheel itself. The wheels I've used have a relatively small turning radius.
Yeah, you're probably right.. Thanks for the reply!

Does the force feedback work on mame like for daytona usa model 2 emulator?
No I couldn't get it to work.
If you still haven't found this search for FFB Arcade Plugin. Works great and pretty simple to setup.
Hi there i cant get my keyboard to enter that setting i pressed TAB nothing happens
Could be that the hot key was changed. Are you using a pre made image?
So that's why it didn't work. I thought + was gas. The symbol + LOOKS like it means gas or acceleration right?
Will this work with two player mario kart?
Yes this particular wheel does work with the switch.
You should NOT be setting the "Inc" and "Dec" with analog devices. Those are specifically for using digital buttons to mimic analog controls.
I have a thrust master T300 RS and everything mapped fine on mame except I don't seem to have full throttle, just a sluggish start
Just use analogue Inc on TTRS, then go to analogue input adjustments to make sure you're not still on half throttle and reverse on or off pedal button also if necessary
Do I have to do it to every game
Yeah some games may require you to go in and change some settings.
I have a Coin Ops 2 bild am it's all racing/ put i can only map out the arcade one's, i can't do the other like Playstation dreamcast 64
Ahh if it's a different emulator then you have to go into the file where you have coinops and look for the emulator.
Ok and then what do I do it's my 1st time doing this.
That's gonna depend on the emulator. But you should be able to go to inputs and map your controller.
Big Help - Thanks - Hare Krishna!
