I want buy and build a sick st croix with 3000 size reel for salt water on shore application I shall contact u to have your touch too plz leave me your contact and store details.. cheers from Dubai
Man, I love watching your videos. You are normally 99% dead on , on everything. Keep up the great work. P.s. love that youre a big bull bay fan as well 🔥💪🏽
I think the 7 ft medium expride b is my favorite by far. Light, sensitive, great balance, and the perfect grip imo. Its hard to justify going past it honestly .
I used to bass fish mostly but when I got into inshore fishing I'd used my lews mach speed stick that was 6'9 and it'd handle anything thrown at it (got a lotttt of weird stares though LOL). Recently got a st croix triumph inshore (7'0 MH, fast) and it's been the best rod I've ever held and used for redfishing in Louisiana.
My favorite rod was the Fenwick HMG Inshore 7'ML fast tip. The double locking reel seat is my favorite feature. However, they removed the double locking reel seat in 2025 model and raised the price significantly.
Was hoping you’d mention lure weights and the comparison by company. One other point I like to consider with regards to action is moderate rods handle treble hooks better, fast is needed for better hook sets on thicker gauge hooks. ML action is needed for finer wire hooks.
Hello I have a question. I am visiting clearwater florida soon and i plan on visiting your store. I want a good setup for fishing mangroves and fishing docklights for snook and tarpon. I am looking into the teramar double xx inshore rod with a vanstaal and i would like to know which specifications would be best for the rod and which vanstaal and what size i should get?
I'm in texas I order my bull bays rods from tailwater . hands down bull bay is a excellent company as well as tail water any question they will help you . a family owns business. p.s. hey tailwater I need the bb assault 7ft #10-20 when you getting more? a new rod mean new reel .. love my points credit I earn when I spend.
2500 or 3000 vanford would be the perfect match. On our website we’re doing 25% back through Christmas. So buy the reel, get your $62 in store credit and use it towards the rod.
Toadfish rods are great inexpensive rods. Have a sale right now for 100 bucks most their rods on their website. I have 2, and they are solid and have great feel.
@zacht678 hey we all entitled to our opinions that's what's fishing is all about 💪🏽🔥. But after using some high-end rods those rods are so damn heavy compared to them. And I hate their design of their handles.
@zacht678 that is true 😂. To be quite honest when I started fishing I literally used Walmart combos. And then I went to about a $200 combo $100 Rod $100 real. And I use those all the way up to I was about 25 years old. Then I upgraded my real to a Shimano Stella ( a dream reel of mine for a long time ) and a Saint Croix Legend extreme now I can't go back 😂
This kid is failing to mention all the big girl snook around our bridges (not going to say any names) but that still counts as inshore and you will 100% not get any of those 35 and up with a MH rod that we have in Tampa/st.pete. Take what this kid is saying with a grain of salt and remember it is okay to go heavy or X-hvy around the inshore bridges
All customs except titan slow pitch and grappler. 4 phenix rts inshores 6-12 and 8-17 with 2019 certate lts. 1 phenix recon elite with a certate lt. 2 jigging world night ranger mh casting rods built as spinning rods with a stella and one with a saltiga. And one night ranger heavy with a saltiga. 1 mhx ultralite slow pitch with jdm grappler. 1 phenix ultralight titan slow pitch with jdm saltiga baitcaster. 1 jigging world ghost hunter 100 with jdm ocea jigger and a grappler slow pitch 250 with ocea jigger f custom. Thats my everyday inshore setup with a couple rods added for other types of fishing.
@@Fish-y3g I really wanna try the bushido nanophenes they look very nice if you get to them first definitely let me know I think they could make a really good light weight tarpon or snook blanket
@samn4611 ill let you know. Heading to fl in a week hoping for some redfish and seatrout. Maybe even a peacock bass. Just built my nephews some little crb is662ml blanks to fish the retention ponds

The Avid Med-lite 7'3" is so fun to use. I love that thing.
Golden advice.. very detailed explanation ❤👌
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!

I have exprides and they are nice..
Yea the exprides are fantastic! Definitely would have put them in the video, but they’re hard to get right now
What reel are you running?
@StarshipSnook I run a daiwa certate on the expride to answer your question. I know, I know....a daiwa on a shimano lol

Saw the same on the price. One of my favorite rods
Good job 👍 ❤🎣

We need to get some turtle bay custom rods X Tailwater collab rods in there
I like my st croix, legend tournament inshore 7ft MH. Only downside is not a huge fan of not having Fuji k guides on it
Thinking about picking up a 6'9 or a 7ft medium zodias. What specific reel should I go with in the 100-200 dollar price point?

@@tailwateroutfitters will the credit work on the website? I'm far away from Clearwater fl, lol.
@@colesheehan9929yep! Just make sure to create an account
can you do casting rods?
What rod can i gwt for a reel like a tranx 300/400 for glidebaits and 5-7in nlbns?
A St Croix Legend Tournament or Gloomis IMX Pro Blue would be great with that reel
Length is length but it's also not when you consider reel seat position and grip lengths. You could have a few inches difference due to those factors.
Something to note is that the G Loomis warranty is much different (and better than) Shimano's Warranty.
What rod to pair with a chronarch mgl 150 hg for redfish flounder trout for under $200?
Bull Bay Banshee casting rod. You'll thank me later. 169.99 plus tax

Only down side to them. Very heavy but that's because of how cheaply made they are.
@@artificialslinger9730I disagree with both points lol. Feel super solid and not heavy at all.

@ agreed. I’m sure those high end rods are much better, I just can’t come off the money and then salting them all up 😂

I have built on a few phenix blanks they are definitely nice with super lightweight blanks and thin diameter I also love bushidos
@samn4611 haven't tried the bushido but I'm going to. Have a couple more jigging world and northfork blanks to do this winter
