I have this same 2022 PCX and immediately purchased the Touring windshield from National Cycle, which is the shortest of the 3 they sell and I feel it’s perfect, because I can look over it (I’m 6’ 3”) and I wear a full face helmet. There’s a video showing how to remove the existing windshield that is very helpful in pulling down on the white trim piece. But remember this, when you have the windshield off, drill a hole into the compartment that has the charging port and then route a 3’ charging cable through there so you can mount your phone on the handlebar and use it as your gps while it’s charging. I got it up to 69 mph on the freeway.
I love to see from american’s point of view on how they feel on that scooter. I personally own a PCX160 ABS version in the Philippines and I really love it since I bought the bike. From that day until now I use it almost everyday going to work.
am picking up a 2023 pcx 160 from the dealership this coming weekend and i am stoked to get back into riding again, had a 1984 honda elite cs125 for years and lost it in my housefire. thanks for sharing your thoughts, ride safe.
I have a 2016 and absolutely love it. I have a sport's bike but I like this for city use and practicality of storage and lane split in city traffic. I've hit 64 mph and drops to 62 mph then goes back and forth. My gas mileage is great too, average is 104.8 mpg. Barely past the 1,000 mile on it. Previous owner did no use it at all. So I did the break in services on it at 700 miles. I'm the second owner.
Have a 2018 model and getting 117 mpg. Once you break it in after a few thousand miles you’ll get better mileage. Be careful in strong winds because it does not feel stable at all, but you’ll get adapted to it. Enjoy the bike it’s great!
Being a biker since 1969 from 90cc up to 1400cc when I hear “It’s fun to ride” over and over I get stoked. Never enjoyed my 14 any more or any less than my 250. I need a pcx👍
I just bought one last week and really like it. I have the ABS version also. I do wish the windshield was adjustable or a little taller because there really isn't any protection from the wind. I'll have to get a tall windshield for it. Otherwise it's a great scooter for the price.
@@daxworkman2210 You can either use a backpack, a cheap top box (made of correx type stuff) or you can get a fibreglass insulated one also you'll need the top box bracket for your make of bike.
That key close hex thing is a real pain in the arse. The hex wears down and the lock door stays shot after a while. I was in Koh Samui and mine got locked up ,,took 2 sets of house keys and a screwdriver with help from others to open it. Beware
I own a 2022 Honda ADV 150 and find it more than satisfying. Bought new in 2021 before New PCX came out. I currently have about 4,000 miles on my scooter. My plus is the way it pulls up hills so easily gaining speed as you climb. The ADV windshield is also worthless and just for looks.👍
Great review! Nice looking scoot for sure! When I lived in VT, I wouldn't have a bike without a good highway windscreen. Now that I live in sunny and warm South Florida, I do not want a windscreen, as you want all the air you can get hitting you!
In Bakersfield it’s also sunny and warm all the time, and very hot in the summer, so I certainly understand. The windscreen that I put on is only tall enough to prevent the air from hitting my face directly and making it hard to see. The air still swirls all around me and keeps me cooler.
@@craigmorley7941 I can understand that! I always wear a full-face helmet, so I like the wind hitting my face so it goes through the vents and circulates in my helmet!
It's not legal for highway use, it's 157cc and tires aren't regulation size for highway. Where I live, the highway speed is 70 and this scooter barely hits 65mph. I had a 2023 PCX 150, put 1,200 miles on it and sold it for more than what I paid lol 😆. Currently waiting to get 2023 ADV 160 in July
had mine 2 months today got it to 72mph 2 today mileage same as yours iding with bikes and everybody suprised at how quick it gets to 50mph does get a bit shaky at 62mph but settles back at 70mph loving it
If you want a plug n play engine upgrade kit that can easily scoot you up to over 100mp/h it's available 😄. You'll get 180cc ceramic cylinder block, injectors, throttle body, and intake manifolds... If that's still isnt enough, CVT upgrade kits are also available 😄 but doing so you'll loose the factory warranty.
I have pcx 125cc. Very good bike, comfortable, save fuel. I like it very much. So many passenger want to rent it for racing in my city.I will go up to pcx 160cc on day. Im From Việt Nam
i see that the pcx not change like south asian market but unless the key in your bike in our market our we use the swicth button like gas oven call the honda smartkey & by the way in Vietnam the customer don't like this bike because it's too big for them but i really like this bike because of comfortable & stable to ride 😃
Damn that key start is kinda killing it for me.. looking to upgrade to a bigger scooter for food delivery but that would be annoying to start the bike every time with that anti theft key
honestly, it is not a big deal. You do not have to lock your ignition when you stop. You can just remove the key. However, if you are looking to upgrade I would sincerely recommend the 2025 ADV 160 now that it has the same engine as the PCX. You will pay $300 more but get much better shocks and an adjustable windscreen. I would have bought it if it had been available with the same engine when I bought my PCX. Good luck!
I am still torn between The PCX and the ADV. Im not sure what it is but I think the PCX Looks nicer and. more refined. I spend about 6 Mo. Per Year in Philippines and 6 Mo. In Alaska. As in Alaska, here in Philippines we have quite a few Pot Holes and rough roads, So the longer shock travel on the ADV will make for smoother ride, Some roads are Gravel ,But I think that would not make much difference as long as you have the Proper tires.
Honda just released the Adv with the same engine as the PCX in Malaysia. Buy it as soon as it becomes available. If it had been available in the US I would have bought it. The extra fork extension is definitely needed.
Honestly, I can’t say that I have felt vibrations or shutter at any speed up to 70 miles an hour which is the maximum speed of the bike. I mostly cruise around town at speeds of 55 mph or less and I never feel a vibration or shutter at those speeds. I have been on the freeway a couple of times with my bike for short distances traveling between 65 and 70 mph. I’m not a big fan of doing that but it is possible. I wasn’t scared doing it because of vibrations or any other issues, I just don’t feel that I have enough power to get out of any situation should they arise.
I really love to drive Honda PCX but if you increase speed then feels like shutter/vibration that vibrat/shutter I dont like......But If you drive Yamha NMAX and increase speed then you feel more smooth and comfort..thank you
