Note: You must change the calibration on your Hondata Flash-Pro before cranking the engine. This
intake is NOT designed to work with a MAF sensor, so upload a MAP based tune accordingly

Don't know how honestly. Probably the safest CAI on the market. I've had it for a year and a half and been through multiple storms. Just drove through Hurricane Henri today to work lol did you hit a huge puddle under throttle or something?
@@k20z3keith7 as long as you have the undertray and fender liner and also arent lowered it should be fine right? i just installed mine i live in oregon which is rain every day but i dont even know how water would get to it lmao. I know this was a year ago but any updates on the intake?
@@repingers9777Hybrid claims they ran the air intake underwater for over an hour of throttle with pod directly submerged and engine was fine they say. Unless you’re reallyyy low and hydroplane going Mach Jesus then you’re fine. Boutta buy this one too was just curious where battery was to be relocated.

@@0.........0 if your stock ride height and the fenderliner and splash guard is all there then its fine in the rain. But recently my splash guard popped out and got torn up leaving intake exposed right above the road plus its non stop down pour in oregon this season. So i removed the part of the intake that goes down and turned it into a short ram ( sounds better, but less torque ) im also tuned, i was worried taking such a big part of the intake off would be bad for the engine and the tune but its ok

It is one of the best intakes in the aftermark but that filter down there in my country as it rains a lot I can't put it on my civic because if water enters the filter it breaks my engine, you have to be very careful with that filter down there it is better to put a spotlight with a hole made in carbon to be safe
If you would’ve paid attention, that’s what the bypass thing is for. It protects your car from hydro locking apparently. Not sure how it works but I’m gonna look into it haha
@@tylergray7122 I know people who’ve hydro locked with the bypass valve it’s just an imaginary safety net.

I'd suggest that you not use that coolant. The dexcool is formulated for GM vehicles, not Honda's. OEM is best, but many retailers sell Asian vehicle formula coolant which is blue in color and acceptable for use in Honda's.

HEY ZOSH ART OF ATTACK HAS THE FD2 R FRONT END AND REAR
I just installed this and I'm having trouble bleeding the coolant. It doesnt burp bubbles anymore but the bottom hose isnt getting hot. Been going at it for 1-2 hours not sure. I used the same coolant Zosh is using, I don't think thats the reason since his car is fine.

Even with the bypass it will still hydrolock your engine. Ask me how i know.

@@Zosh It is a great intake. Installed it on my FD2R and it gave great power. I live on an island and just like Florida the rain just kept coming down. I replaced the engine with an Spoon build.
I need help with the tune anyone has a link to help with the hr cai ?
I’m assuming the throttle body adapter is supposed to fit firmly snug whatever on the throttle body but mine doesn’t fit you can still slide it on and off am I just not tightening it enough for it to fit the throttle body or is the throttle body the problem and have to go bigger

Bro your not supposed to switch to dexcool it calls for the blue stuff Walmart has that to that’s made for Chevy the blue is so much better the antifreeze turns to sludge if you keep changing them blue to green to dexcool that’s not good bro you could blow your motor

Mannnnn stop bs'ing with the bolt ons. Just get a cxracing sidewinder turbo kit, clutch, and some injectors and make more power. Honda's need boost, not a cold air intake...

@@rehanali-hy9tk Hondata is a tuning device. You don’t need it unless you have all bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust), however, if you’re running the Hybrid Racing intake, you’ll need it because the intake will throw off the air/fuel ratio and you don’t want that.
