Sick build !!! My brother in law and I built a 2006 si for his son 16 Bday. We used Brian Crower Stage 2 Cams, spring, retainer. With a used 2.4 shortblock. Ebay header & 3 in exhaust. Stage 1 clutch and light fly wheel with Hondata Flash pro for tuning. He has it where limiter is 8400 rpm. We were expecting 200-215 whp We did 3 dyno pulls 232, 235, 238 whp all at 7900-8100 rpm. As a joke coming back from getting it dyno tuned. I was driving and raced his 18 rt charger thats Full bolt on with a tune. The 2006 si Walked the shit out of the Charger till about 100 mph then stayed with in a car length at 135 mph. We both joked that we deff dont tell his son the civic faster. We got a rod knocking 2006 si for $1500 , spent about $3500 total in parts. Im a Mustang Guy. Brother in law is Die Hard Dodge/Subaru. Its Crazy for less then $5000 his son will have a car capable of hurting alot of feelings.
I love this build so much, inspired me to get an si for my first car and can’t wait till I understand all the car talk cause for now I don’t know much but the basics like changing oil and anything else it needs. Hoping to learn how I can make this a beast like that monster you got💪🔥

Best advice I ever got was " its just nuts and bolts, if they come off they have to go back on" don't over think it and take your time and keep up with whatever you take off and you'll be fine buddy , just don't play with the timing once it's off your fucked if you don't get it right the first time

i had 150k miles, plm header, 3in full race and the Hybrid racing intake, i made 217whp and 159lb. Everything else stock. Interesting that you made 208whp only

Was the k24 / k20 weak without the tune? I’m on a stock tune in my 04 tsx with k20z3 head 06 tsx cams 45 vtc gear rbc intake. Hits vtec hard but feels kinda slow
@@Onelovej get a tune. will make a difference and will feel way better than what youre feeling now. basemaps are not meant to be driven around on leisurely, its meant for you to get to your tuner.
No hahaha you’ll probably make around 300 to 310 on e85 and put the 4.5 DC or 3.5 elite cams to help that compression out. But that’s still a fun power. Now if you throw M5 you will make that power but that’s racing gas. I made 355 on nitro 50 mix with ported head and stock bottom end and cams.
208whp seems kinda low for that Z3 with the mods you had. What miles did it have? My Z3 got dynoed at 229whp with a alpha manifold, J35 tb, and RDX injectors that being about the only difference.
@@wilok2497 mine is considerably lower mileage than yours yeah I bought mine under 100k and now it's at 134k miles. I'm gonna run it till something craters and do a K24 K20 frank
Avoid the Ktuned and Grams junk, go with a Honda J35 throttle body if you're staying NA. They're far more reliable. Throttle body gains are usually pretty minimal though so I'd throw it on last.
@@jeryandrade6 the adapter is sold with the throttle bodies. Whatever one you're buying has an adapter. Just email the company your gonna get a throttle body from and they'll help you
This one is tuned with 93 and made 275. im pretty sure with e85 i can make more but where i live the gas station with e85 i so far and i daily use the car. Dc i believe are the best ones right now. But i got the prayoonto since 2014

What have you done to the internally to the moter? Pistons, cams, valve springs and retainers etc

that dip at the crossover is huge!! what rpm is vtec set at? looks around 500-1000rpms to low judging from that graph.
Vtec is around 58 or 6k with the k24, but when i had the k20z3 was around 45.

Is already good to go but remenber, depends of what camshaft are you using. Because for oem is good lower vtec but with cams is different.

You’ll fill more power 100% but obviously you need the tune. So everything run smooth and reliable.

At that time it got around 181k. The z3 with bolt ons are around 218-230 hp. Obviously you a tb so yours sounds pretty healthy

You have to change the base that is between the block and the passenger mount. But basically everything is compatible.
