Ninh you forgot to major rules that seem to throw everyone who is not familiar with box off. The substitution box and the pick and roll. Players are required to wait inside the box until another player enters the box and if not it is a bench minor for ileagl sub. (Penalty assigned to the team and not a player).
You would gain possession of the ball either from a faceoff, intercepting the ball while being passed, scooping the ball up after the opposing team dropped it or got checked and lost the ball.
Oh and you can only check someone if your hands are together on the stick. Like if you were to do bench presses but you put your hands together so there touching. You cant just check with you stick.
Okay... so this is like.... completley different from how we played lacrosse in school during sports class😅 Sweden..... This is like u said... very similar to hockey
Yup, that's on my list of things to do. I've recorded the audio already, but finding the relevant video footage is time consuming. Be sure to help me out by sharing this video and subscribing!
+Grant Smith is and the 8 second I guess, but then they have fights, and the gear is the same and the rink is the same and the net and the way the field is set up and played on is the same.
Looks like knights in armor. Btw, that's because getting hit by a lacrosse ball is no joke! Just imagine solid rubber balls flying at you at around 90 mph. It hurts like h___! I wear a helmet when I'm on the field (durring practices) or any locations that don't have nets up!
Canadians only care about hockey. CFL and lacrosse are going out of business unfortunately. They're promoting women's hockey over this awesome product and CFL football.
Being a lacrosse goalie is completely different to being a hockey goalie. The idea isn't to move a lot because you won't have time to physically react. Instead, the idea is to cut off as much of the net as you can whilst moving minimally to save the shots that come from above. Hence why they have enormous padding.
dude, i have been watching the nll for nearly 30 years. THIS IS THE BEST RULES OF THE GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN.

I think there are plenty of key words that you should know where fits what, if you need any help i am happy to deliver.
Greetings Oskar
Hi Oskar. Believe it or not, you can submit these formally on 'add subtitles / close captions' in your language. Once you do that, it'll be submitted to me and I click to approve. Much easier that way! Thanks.
Hi, i did it about a week ago, i guess you have to accept them. Thanks and Greetings from Austria
hi can you make a video on mll lax
Hi Jordan (again).
Yes, I've already recorded the audio for 'The Rules of Field Lacrosse - Explained!', but I've got a backlog of other videos that need making first.
Be sure to subscribe, as you'll then see it as soon as I've posted it.
Also, if you could help me out by sharing this video via social media - that'd be awesome.
Thanks again :)
Ninh you forgot to major rules that seem to throw everyone who is not familiar with box off. The substitution box and the pick and roll. Players are required to wait inside the box until another player enters the box and if not it is a bench minor for ileagl sub. (Penalty assigned to the team and not a player).
Ninh you are amazing, maaan😁
Yup. Thanks.
This is helpful thank you
Wow great video
+awhwrd1 Thanks man, wish I was a professional box lacrosse goalie! Be sure to share this video and subscribe :)
You would gain possession of the ball either from a faceoff, intercepting the ball while being passed, scooping the ball up after the opposing team dropped it or got checked and lost the ball.
love it!!
thanks a lot it really helped
Anytime Rachael!
I ❤️ Box Lacrosse and 🏒! Peter Streiff from 🇨🇭
Best game on the planet
It's definitely a fun spectacle. Go Rock go!
The shot clock is reset everytime the ball touches the goal tender.
Panther City 💜
Hey y’all are you in PE too
Oh and you can only check someone if your hands are together on the stick. Like if you were to do bench presses but you put your hands together so there touching. You cant just check with you stick.
So it's basically hockey with lacrosse gear and a shot clock.
So there are no offside?
Not in box lacrosse?
@@NinhLyUK oh I was just wondering. I just started watching bill obrien the lacrosse player.
thanks this helped
+Sonl Bains Thanks Sonl, I appreciate the comments. Be sure to share this video and subscribe :)
good video
This is making me think of what indoor hurling would be like...
Interesting analogy. I suppose so, yes.
Okay... so this is like.... completley different from how we played lacrosse in school during sports class😅
Sweden.....
This is like u said... very similar to hockey
It really is!
Believe it or not, theirs two versions of this sport. This is indoor, there is also outdoor.
UPDATE: Lacrosse has 15-min overtimes now, not 5. The last 2 lax games I went to both went into overtime so that’s how I know.
That's fine, but you can't update a video once it's uploaded. It's a straight delete. Thanks though.
Box lacrosse It's like hockey...with balls !!!
Basically, yeah.
Ice hockey looks way way way way more aggressive/intimidating. The fighting here looked so outta place 😂😂😂.
Yes :)))
Great information, the music was a bit too loud and distracting though
Tekken 3 soundtrack, nice!
Well spotted, thanks bro.
good
indoor Lacrosse rules !!!!!
The Toronto Rock especially ... even though they're doing badly this season.
Upload more!!!!!!!
The goaltenders be looking like me after quarantine
Kind of, yeah.
as someone who has played both box and field. I can tell you that box is WAY harder and WAY more aggressive.
I play lacrosse and I am a goalie I play for the outlaws
+Emmalin Mclaughlin Awesome! I'd love to be a box lacrosse goalie. Thanks man, I appreciate the comments. Be sure to share this video and subscribe :)
Indoor lacrosse gear looks like ice hockey gear... but with chicken legs.
Effectively, yes!
It's ice hockey style padding up top, nothing underneath.
Lacrosse and Street Fighter don’t mix, eh?
Ah they do, but this time I used Tekken.
Do field lacrosse!
Yup, that's on my list of things to do.
I've recorded the audio already, but finding the relevant video footage is time consuming.
Be sure to help me out by sharing this video and subscribing!
Basketball 🏀 like shorts with ice hockey 🏒 like jerseys looks odd.
It looks dope
I play and no one uses these terms
That's what they're called.
i am a box lax goaltender #00
I always wanted to be a Box Goaltender.
I was a fairly good hockey goalie and I think I coulda made the adjustment.
Those pads are bad-ass!
"with the ice covered up with turf" lol...
So hockey but with a netted stick
Pretty much!
+Ninh Ly I think the 8 second violation is the only difference
actually plays more like basketball, Pick and rolls and such
+Grant Smith is and the 8 second I guess, but then they have fights, and the gear is the same and the rink is the same and the net and the way the field is set up and played on is the same.
Pretty much, the goalies are bigger and the nets are smaller. Plus, most of the offensive sets are a combo of basketball and hockey styles
I can't get over how ridiculous the goalies in box LAX look.
That's not strictly true, although Box Lacrosse is sorely underrepresented.
the goalie looks like a sumo wrestler
Pretty much, yeah.
What's up with the goalkeeper kit ,LOL
+mukul4305 It's HUGE, isn't it?! I'd love to try and be a lacrosse goalie! Thanks for stopping by be sure to share this video and subscribe :)
+Ninh Ly I used to be a goalie, but stopped because I wanted to play player.
NaTs24 Being a goalie is a raw deal in Box Lacrosse!
Why are the goalies wearing fat suits, how are supposed to make big saves like that
Being a lacrosse goalie is completely different to being a hockey goalie. The idea isn't to move a lot because you won't have time to physically react. Instead, the idea is to cut off as much of the net as you can whilst moving minimally to save the shots that come from above. Hence why they have enormous padding.
The goalies looked so big, and useless.
They're not.
@@NinhLyUK the clips never showed the goalies blocking a goal.
You try shooting a ball with a lacrosse stick into a 4 ft net with 95% of it covered by a goalie.
@@zfilms4858 i do that in roller hockey.
What does that have to do with the goalies looking big and useless?
