Found you through the Kerry livestream. Loving your content! I’m 3 months in but at first only committed to 30 days of doing BBB&E and had great results. Then month 2 and 3, I reintroduced veggies slowly as I’m an avid gardener and my garden was starting to produce. However, aches and old symptoms are slowly creeping back so I may have to pick a new hobby or switch to flower gardens as opposed to veggie gardens. We shall see. This month I’m reverting back to a much cleaner carnivore lifestyle and 2 meals a day approach. I’ve lost 25 pounds so far with 40 to 45 more pounds to go.

@MinimalistCarnivore Yes, I mostly do sharp/extra sharp white cheddar. Really, anything aged 9+ months. Parmesan and Romano are also good as "topping" cheeses (ex. on eggs). For me, these have worked best. They provide a punch of natural flavor and contribute to satiety.

I agree that snacking on cheese is not a great idea on keto. It's not very fulfilling and your body prefers its calories from other sources, like meat. I always have low carb beef sticks on hand. Much better alternative when you just need a few more calories.
I went from a 3XL shirt down to a 1XLT in only 6 months. It works and the keys for me:
    1. Always have keto-friendly food in the house. And have options. The second you're short on something and have to run to the store to eat, you'll be tempted by carbs. And some days, the food you've been eating for months all of a sudden won't look good to you. So make multiple meals ahead of time and store them.
    2. Make sure friends and family know. Showing up to a get-together where there is just table after table of carbs sucks. Either eat beforehand or bring your own food. The more people that know, the easier keto is.
    3. Once you've cut out all that sugar, even zero-sugar sodas or Gatorade will taste like candy to you. It can be a nice way to satisfy your sweet tooth and fill you up a bit.

Thank you for that information. And just subscribed to your channel. I'm 5 weeks in and feel pretty good. Unfortunately I got Covid after 3 weeks, so the 4th week set me back a bit. But I'm back at it. I've lost 12lbs so far, but mostly doing it to feel better and address joint pain from my sedentary job. My joint pain is getting better, but Ivermectin did a number on my already achy joints. One issue I'm having is I'm still having diarrhea. I'm thinking it's from the Keto Chow daily minerals. I just stopped 2 days ago and I think it's getting better. One thing I'm hoping to get is the energy that guy from homesteadhal has. My energy levels still feel pretty low. Hoping it gets better as I continue.

thanks and sorry to hear about the vid ya got :(
besides the 12 lbs have you noticed much else ? also curious what is your goal in how much you want to take off ?
I know first month was slow for me was that 2nd and 3rd where it was more consistent and going to do one on that through month 6 and then I think the old habits start dying off and it was easier to keep going for me as I was so excited
never had the keto chow and to step out on a limb :) not sure its needed once you get going ? but if you had super poor diet before I know some say things like liver get it mixed in ground beef to hide flavor can be good ?
to me anything even marketed as keto or carnivore in a package I am leery of :) and again we have to decide what works for us !
but even Dr Chaffee beats home the just eat meat and unless you KNOW from blood work you are low in something most likely not needed but I am not a doctor :)
I think the energy comes on over time I know we all show our energy different to :) but yeah he is energetic in a good way :)

Appreciate the reply. I don't think my energy levels are much better. The thing I've noticed most is that I don't wear out as fast in the gym and my joints are feeling a little better, but still not great.
As far as how much weight I want to lose goes, I thought I wanted to lose 15 lbs, but after losing 12, I still have a good bit to lose. I have been the same weight (until recently);for the past 15 years, but I was fit until I got a desk job 4 years ago. I didn't realize I had lost as much muscle and gained as much fat as I have. I'm hoping the testosterone increases and I can gain some of that muscle back now that I'm eating better and exercising, but as far as fat loss, I need to lose at least 15 more pounds.
I'm looking forward to this journey.

I started the carnivore diet this past Monday from a HIGH carb diet. I have been fortunate enough to have little to no carb withdrawals during my first week and I have found it quite easy to get into (more than likely due to my electrolyte consumption according to most carnivore advocates, and my younger age of 26). I have always been a meat person. I would eat meat EVERY day, but I had plenty of terrible snacks and loads of bread. The only side effect I am having is the diarrhea from my gut microbiome adjusting to this lifestyle. Your channel and a few others like KenDberryMD helped to guide me through my first week and I thank you 🙏. Yalls channels are a godsend and I appreciate all of you. I will continue to watch all of the content y'all put out as I crush this lifestyle change. All I ask for is prayers for my porcelain queen (my toilet) 😂.

sure the feeling 90 will start to turn around
and if not look into electrolytes ? as getting up without being hydrated can sometimes do that
when I test cheese out mornings are never as good for me as when I am without dairy !
so maybe try to cut back dairy see if that helps ?
we just have to test what is working for ourselves I feel
and all the comments here and other YT confirm we are all on our own journey finding folks we can relate to that have done it can help also many things do have a common base across us all for the most part like most feel better with less dairy and most notice the puffiness inflammation dairy can bring as one example ;) those for sure are tips tricks for all :)

as far as the weight ? only what I hear and some from docs like Ken berry or Chaffee
the body does what it needs to and for me that was a month nothing happening ? some like you longer some shorter
but also its the focus on how you feel and look how do your clothes fit are you active ? putting on muscle weighs more than fat so can sometimes kinda seem like its not coming off
often the first bit on carnivore is water weight also so could be you are just staying hydrated well enough
so again go by fit of clothes how you feel and look more so than scale I think :)

      hello :)
Carrie is trying to put on weight
      www.youtube.com/@MyMeatomorphosis
am going to have a interview with her soon
you might take a while to get new satiated signals on what full is and get better at eating more it does take some a while
and till then eating when hungry might be a few times a day DOES not have to be the OMAD or 2MAD you hear many doing
Laura Spath does a lot of eating out and she has some great what she eats when out tips on her channel that might help
as far as how much most truly say eat when hungry eat till satiated
but if you had to put a marker on it 1gram of protein per ideal body weight and the fat start at around 1:1 in weight
so if you are say 160 and want to be 180 aim for that 180 grams of protein
since fat is higher in calories for that 1 gram it puts you in about that 65% and above ratito many go a bit higher
you do not want to be eating to lean better to lean toward to much fat and reduce IMHO
but does take a bit to find that ratio that your body needs
low energy sometimes is drinking more water this diet without the carbs does not hold as much water also some say drink electrolytes try to avoid the sweetened ones :) just healthier IMHO
salt to taste has always worked for me and not needing electrolytes but we are all different :)
      hope that helps :)

some loose for a year then stall for 6 months on rare occasions
some have lost 265 lbs in less than a year no stall ?
give it 3 months then say OK do I feel better do I look better and how are my clothes fitting is a great gauge to go by :) then worry about the weight :)

for some it is maybe to clarify :) because its NOT ruminant why many do not like it
as what they eat goes more into the meat than ruminant animals and pigs are fed a insane amount of grain feed and soy products etc..
for me pig was HUGE in the islands I ate more wild pig and while I was not carnivore I never noticed issues ! some say pigs raised eaten natural food they should be eating is much better and they do OK with it where not the mainstream store stuff :)
I do want to try to get some good truly clean pig but my downside is the cost is up to what beef is and I know I do well on beef
I can eat it with some beef but on its own I never feel as well and I know some others say eating to much can upset their stomach
