As everyone here has said, this is only a portion of the song, 'No Quarter'. The video you watched was only 3 minutes of the 12 minute performance. The original vids uploaded by the UA-cam community of many Led Zeppelin performances have been gradually removed from YT. This is due to copyright. If you keep digging on YT, you can find the full 12 minute 1973 Madison Square Garden performance. Another way is to purchase the entire 1973 concert-film called: "The Song Remains The Same" on DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. Love your thoughts and reactions. tc, and best of luck.
Another way, tho also problematic is that YT itself offers the entire Song remains the same movie on their movies and tv channel here. Which rocks (!), but it's too much to ask reactors to go there and "OK, Dazed and Confused begins at 1:17:23 and..." so that means sadly, fewer Zep availability and reactions from now on. I guess if i were a band i wouldnrt want my shit out there for free when i could make $ off it but it still sucks!
My apologies, Steph, I just checked and, yes, the song IS that short! Dammit, Led Zeppelin's official site has begun to cut tf out of a lot of the songs that it offers for youtube. End of an Era, I guess. So yeah, you were right to think the vid had ended when those ads came on, lol! I just thought they were coming on in the middle of the video. Anyhow, I would suggest you just listen to the audio version of this same live 1973 version. It will still put you in a trance, and Jimmy's solo is gorgeous! You may also be able to see the whole video from youtube's "Movies and TV" channel, which has the entire Zeppelin concert movie this was taken from "The song remains the same." Sorry for the long comment, but getting Zeppelin right is worth it, lol, as are your terrific reactions! 😊😊
Yes in the begining his voice going through a electronic effect (phaser?)of sort to create a somber intro of opening lyrics.. Your listening to shortened version.. it gets deeper..
Ummm? Does anybody else not realize that this is absolutely the wrong version to react to? We didn’t even get to the Jimmy solo one of the most amazing of all time! Steph, you will need to PLEASE react to the audio, as far as I know, there is no full length video version of the song. You got a bit of a tease here at best!!! Love your reactions!❤
Here is the answer: She didn't get a bad link, and she DID play all that she was given. And there WAS a full version of this out there. For reasons unknown., LZ own YT Channel has killed some of their vids or cut/edited them down to half length or less, like this one. It's maddening, I dunno why. And their chan seems the ONLY place where Song remains the same vids are available here (Except for the whole movie on YT Movies and TV channel, go figure, lol) Sad truth.
I love this song and its meaning since I was 13 (1978) - its about waht our forefathers (and mothers) did - to work hard and sacrife themselfs, for a better future !
When I hear this song , I think of something that would set up a scene in a horror or mystery movie I get a picture of walking through a haze covered cemetery or swamp. 😂😂 Great reaction
Wonderfull reaction . When i first heard this , i had to buy the LP , Play it on a portable record player the size of a brief case , with only a ON / OFF button a switch for the speed of the LP a volume knob on 11 at the time and 1 small speaker , but still loved it , I was 13 or 14 late 70s
To me personally is about the best lead in for a song ever. I have loved Zeppelin since I was maybe 10 . John Paul Jones was a huge influence that made me learn Bass.
No Quarter is my favorite Zeppelin song. Although the boys did many strong renditions of this song, in concert the one from the movie The Song Remains The Same has to be the best version I have heard. You may not be able to play it on youtube, but get a copy and listen to the versions of some of their greatest tunes played at MSG, including a 14 minute No Quarter. The story telling in the movie is ok. But the music is out of this world.
No Quarter [1975/05/24 @ London, England] the channel is Led Zeppelin Archives, it has 2.841.993 views, it goes 23.6 minutes is here in UA-cam, at this moment is the best version as far as sound and video, any other live performance of this song is too dark can hardly see anything, give a try Steph you’ll love it!
For fifty years i've been a zep fan i love to hear you and see your reaction to zap. Because they are the best and everyone's building. But listen to the whole song you can't cut it short. They are the only band that has so many different changes in this song. And every song has a different style. They're truly unique and somehow another 4 of the best musicians got together. I like. And I subscribe. And I give you thumbs up with this one I have to listen to the little part of the song.
Yeah, that was not the full song. In fact it was less than half of it. The version is from the live album/movie “The Song Remains the Same”, if that helps you find a better version. Definitely one of my favorite LZ songs.
Oh girl! Jimmy Page's actual Git solo is his best... This Vid cuts early. The vocal effect is a spinning speaker. Plus mega reverb... That's what I believe
Now that you know Led Zeppelin well, it is time for you to discover Dread Zeppelin which is a reggae group that brings together the best of Led Zeppelin with the best of Elvis Presley. I suggest the video of “Heartbreaker” and "Black Dog" covered by Dread Zeppelin.
Hi Steph! Oh YESSS **MyJimmyWizardbabe** IS **SexyAF** ALWAYS & especially with this song BUT Eeeep **Hopefully** somehow ya will be able to react at some point to the actual full version of this song which apparently on yt now it is ONLY contained in their movie **The Song Remains The Same** so not sure how ya can do it since i am NOT a reactor BUT ya can maybe splice it from the movie somehow & if not i guess like others have suggested you already to do just the audio from the **Madison Square Garden Concert 1973** **Luv** your reaction tho cuz i so **Luv** how MUCH you **Luv** them as MUCH as we DO!!! **PixieHugz&LuvzALL**
(Please see my reply to this below, or my similar comment, above, I was wrong--it WAS the end of the video!) Steph, those stupid ads that come on did NOT mean the song was over, lol! I THINK that's what ytou thought? I may be wrong, but you were saying after they came on that "the song was really quick for a reason, you only have two minutes to really feel it" and so forth. NO, lol! The song goes on for another FIVE minutes! Please consider re-doing it and seeing the rest of it, we'd love to see you enjoy the whole thing! Thanks!
My apologies, Steph, I just checked and, yes, the song IS that short! Dammit, Led Zeppelin's official site has begun to edit/cut tf out of a lot of the songs that it offers for youtube. Oh my God... your such a babe, so beautiful!!! I played along, both drums and guitar!! my father hated me because of it...he was a profi drummer, playing with lots of country stars! I was better than him within 6 months!!!
This is not the full version...try again. The studio version is 7mins, but most Live performances exceed 10mins. Oh, and Plant has his own pedal board to add effects to his voice. Also, these I do not see on your playlist...but I know you will love them: *Thank You __ What is and What Should Never Be __ Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.* And yes...there's still many more.
Hi Steph, why only part of the song? So disappointing as this is one of the very best. Please do the entire live song when you have a chance. This song went 10 minutes here and up to to 25 minutes+ live. Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
Nah, they don't disappear, the song does, lol. As u can see in my comment above, i ALSO thought she had misinterpreted the ads coming on, but, dammit, the LZ channel here on yt has edited/cut tf out of a lot of the song remains the same stuff they offer. End of an era, I guess, sad.
You need to react to the full version of this song, which is really good. Truthfully...
The full length version has one of Jimmy's best solos. You're a great reactor.
You need to find the whole version. Jimmy's solo is mind blowing with chills.

The long video is on YT. I saw it a couple days ago. It has Robert's fantasy sequence in it.

Yes, this is the short version, you have to listen to the extended one
was lucky enough to have seen them back in the mid 70s. one of the best shows I've ever been to. and tickets were only $7.50.
The actual song from 1973 is over 13 minutes long, but the actual video of the performance is very hard to find on UA-cam
Go back and check out the Full version,,, It is a MUST IMO it has Jimmy's best solo !!!!!
Definitely one of Jimmy's best solos! The fluidity, the tone of that solo, the notes he finds, all so gorgeous!
Hope you check out the full version! With a fantasy sequence in which John Paul Jones is the protagonist
Yes- the masked horseman, the graveyard at midnight, the burning Bible... it has it all!
Yes in the begining his voice going through a electronic effect (phaser?)of sort to create a somber intro of opening lyrics.. Your listening to shortened version.. it gets deeper..
The movie "The song remains the same" is on your must watch list. You are officially a LED HEAD now!
Ummm? Does anybody else not realize that this is absolutely the wrong version to react to? We didn’t even get to the Jimmy solo one of the most amazing of all time! For me this the best version of this song. But why she didn't play the whole song is beyond me? 🤔
@@musky666 I think she was given the wrong link.
Bit late for that

@@joescott8877 plenty of uploads of the og version
The version of this from the movie called The Song Remains The Same is the one you're looking for
The guitar solo in the part you didn't show may be the best in the history of music.
What sucks is no one has been able to upload the full version on youtube. It totally takes away to only see half. The second have is incredible
I never upload but if you look on my channel I have the full version on everything! The whole thing is all Zeppelin! 😊
I love this song and its meaning since I was 13 (1978) - its about waht our forefathers (and mothers) did - to work hard and sacrife themselfs, for a better future !
I agree, that riff is sexy af! Wish you could've done the full live version.
Check out the live version from their reunion concern many years later.
I saw them do this at the Hardrock Manchester in '72. Never heard anything like it done live.
This is the short version, you miss the giant guitar solo, Not the whole song , , if your a fan listen to the whole version
When I hear this song , I think of something that would set up a scene in a horror or mystery movie I get a picture of walking through a haze covered cemetery or swamp. 😂😂
Great reaction

The best thing about the big 3 , Zep, Sabbath and Deep Purple was that they were all better live than on record. 💗
Happy Belated Birthday Steph and this song is a masterpiece
No Quarter means No Mercy, it’s like medieval time’s & battle.
To me personally is about the best lead in for a song ever. I have loved Zeppelin since I was maybe 10 . John Paul Jones was a huge influence that made me learn Bass.
Yes this is the cut version. The OG is 10:38.
This is from the movie - The song remains the same. It would be a great movie to react to.
The will for me, and forever the GOATS!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should check the full version! It’s most awesome!
What you noticed is Robert's voice going through a phaser effect ( swirling filter sound ).
Great reaction LED ZEPP the best band saludos from Argentina
Love the Zeppelin reactions ❤
Yes the one performance is blended over two songs just like the song remains the same and rain song are one performance!!!
No Quarter is my favorite Zeppelin song. Be sure to listen to the longer version of this song
I can't find the 1973 MSG full length video on YT unfortunately. Audio versions, yes.
This is the shit..So glad your generation is appreciating it!!
This is not even half of the song...
JP Jones so discret behind three monsters, but so good too!

Agree. You listened more or less to the intro. The song is 10.minutrd. happy birthday.
Welcome to the best rock band of ALL TIME!!
Have you listened to Bring It On Home, Live version by Led Zeppelin at the Royal Albert Hall 1970
It’s mythical!!
Love it!
You really of lived back then it was great and a completely different type of world back then 😊
in my opinion, when it comes to music you should always listen to the studio version before the live stuff
Happy birthday!
esta version en vivo tiene uno de los mejores solos de jimmy page
This is only a part of the song. The song long 12 minutes
John Paul Jones on the keyboard!!
Yes the full version is really excellent, sad this isn’t it, you’d love the full version. Thank you anyways.

Noooo!
Just as everyone else said! 😭😭😭
It is much longer when you find the right one.
You're not listening to the full version of the song. You need to listen to the full version. It is totally awesome.
The video is cut. The song is longer. Missing Paul's organ solo and Jimmy's guitar solo.
Jimmy page is the god of guitar!!

Yes ! You reacted to the live version ! The guitar lead is sensational ! More please

I don't know what the hell this was, but the full Madison Square Garden performance is over 12 minutes long.
Where is the rest of the song??????
What happened to the rest of the song?
U did not hear it? 😢 u got into the airplane but u did not fly
