    Good work managing a tight track knowing you had that miss. Enjoying following the process! Tracer on that drive was a good touch.

    I find this great for regular golfers to see how a pro thinks and talks over bad shots and course management. Great look into tournament golf!!

    Awesome video, great stuff. I adopted your attitude of trying to hole those short green side chips today and had more up and downs than expected. Without you knowing it or myself, your videos are helping me get better and I hope you continue to keep making them. All the best on your journey, will continue supporting!

      Thanks Roy! Glad my videos are helping you. I try to adopt the sniper mentality of aim small, miss small when I’m chipping. That way when they don’t go in I usually have an easier par putt left.
      Thanks for the support! 🙏

    Played once in NC in 115 humidex riding in a cart and had to throw the shirt I wore away after the round. So impressive job of holding it together and managing the heat. I agree that your putting is great generally and some excellent clean up putting going on there. You also hit many great short game shots during the round. I agree that your dispersion needs to improve to get to the next level since there is so little room for error and inconsistency in pro golf. One thing that I noticed was that it seemed to me that there are slight changes from time to time in in your pre-backswing movements. Sometimes your knees moved in a little more together (slight sitting down move) whereas other times your trail knee seems to come in a little more resulting in your hips being very slightly open as you start back, which seems to be your more common pattern (especially with longer clubs) from what I've observed. Since there were different camera angles, it's hard to be conclusive but having studied the swing in very minute detail for years, I know that these kinds of things can impact plane and attack angle generally and even flash speed on shorter clubs causing distance inconsistency. I notice that the best players in the world show a trend of getting more and more precise control of the pre and early takeaway portions of the swing which tends to pay big dividends throughout the bag and greatly affects something that you've often mentioned, sequencing. Once again, great video documentation of the experience by both parties. Cheers.

      Thanks Tim. The knee flex originally started as my trigger and over the past two years developed into something completely different. An aspect that I am actively working on at the moment. Thanks for watching!

    Just curious about the payout structure of golf tournaments in general, are they top heavy or do they reward consistency ? Do you look at the payout structure and adjust your strategy accordingly? For these one day events maybe it’s better to employ a go big or go home strategy.

    • @jamescolindavisgolf
      @jamescolindavisgolf  2 місяці тому

      Great question. It changes from event to event, tour to tour. I definitely do not change my strategy based on the payout however. My game plan always gives me the best chance for a good result without taking highly unnecessary risks that could take me out of the tournament altogether.
