Wow really starting to look like a car again, Mike. I love how you are able to think two steps ahead to avoid any chances of damage or issues. Rob.
Hello Rob Thanks
Yes she's finally looking like a real car once again
Avoiding damage at this stage is thought about 27-7!
This is the crust on the cake, isn't it? Must be very satisfying to have reached this stage of the re-build. And your work is brilliant as always.
Hello Anders Thank you
Yes its very gratifying to get to this stage at last..
The man hours are mind boggling!
Looks gorgeous Mike. I really love the way you are so methodical. Great fun to watch. Looks like a 911 now! :).
Thanks Gary we getting there!
Great stuff Mike!
Hello Paul
Thanks!
How's the yellow one coming along?
911 badge and lettering look unbelievably stunning. You can be sure I’ll be following along in IG as well!
Hello Derek Thanks
The baking sure changes the energy=) Its getting exciting now!
Great! look forward to seeing you on IG=)
Hi Mike! I see it's coming along nicely! I been on this account way more recently, stopped gaming, and have been obsessing about motorcycles. I am restoring a 82 Yamaha XZ550 Vision. It has been fun so far, and quite the challenge. Still pretty much just disassembling and stripping down. Not sure if I will put any re-assembling up, but who knows. Nice that you have an instagram too! Followed over there as well.
Hello Christopher! Thanks its good to hear from you
Your motorcycle project sounds like a blast! I would love to restore a motorcycle someday..
Classic bikes are so cool
Good luck with your restoration and we'll see you on instagram!
Great vid as usual Mike. Love the body parts going back on. Maybe a fall drive?
Hello Jeff Thanks
Not sure how far we get by fall but will try my best!
Craftsmanship
Thank you so much for all of the detail here, but I was really hoping you were going to talk about the bolts involved in this install! I bought a '67 912 SWT as a project that was already taken completely apart and Im now trying to put it together. Looking for what bolts hold these rear hinges to the cars and which ones hold them to the deck lid! Can you help me out with that?!
Hello KS
I will take mine out this weekend and measure for you. Can you email me at mikesrestorationsinfo@gmail.com
I will give you sizes and images there
Cheers!
nice! i wonder ho much would have Porsche themselves would have charged for such a work.
and i am worried that even Porsche could not provide Mike's type of quality restoration!
Thanks k0zyr
I think Porsche would have done a
breathtaking job...Unfortunately I don't think I could have afforded they're services
How does the saying go??? if it is to be ..its up to me..
Thank you for the kind words=)
Mike’s Restorations you know that we love your work :)
Thanks k0zyr you give amazing support!
