Waaaay back in 1985, my wife and I drove from PA to Ottawa to Victoria, crossed into the US at Port Angeles WA, drove through Glacier NP, BACK into Canada and exited at Niagara Falls. In 2 weeks in a 1984 Honda CRX! My but still has the Honda logo impressioned in it. What a great trip that was!
Levi & Leah: Glad to hear that you didn't get Lyme! 😅 Please do a video with Montreal bagels and poutine next week! I miss them so much since moving to the US... 😭😭😭
When you mentioned your grandma was on the other side of Toronto I figured Pickering, Ajax, but not Galloway in scarbrough! I grew up in that area and my parents still live there. Small world! Disappointed you won’t be making it out east on this trip as I’m in Nova Scotia now but it will be worth the wait when you do make it out here.

Welcome back to Canada!! I did a road trip from Ottawa to Vancouver once, camping along the way with only 2 nights staying at the same camp site + minimal site seeing, and it still took me 2 weeks. I was completely exhausted at the end. If you have the time, I'd give it at least a month to cross the country comfortably. Also, it took longer to leave Ontario than to cross the 3 prairies provinces! Northern Ontario is gorgeous by the way! Highly recommend taking your time camping along the great lakes and hiking up Sleeping Giant. Have a safe journey home =)
Best border crossing ever! Glad that you are now back in Canada and hopefully the rest of the month transpired sans Lyme disease symptoms. Hard to believe it has nearly been a year, still remember the Prius build video. Wishing you the best in Montreal and looking forward to seeing more of the middle part of Canada as you traverse it!
