Parenting is hard. Renovating a trailer is a challenge. Just existing can be a struggle. You're trying to accomplish all of that and film it to post online! You need a bit of a load reduction, so you've made the right choice to make breathing room. ❤

Hi, thanks for sharing your struggles. I remember feeling like that when our kid was little.
Is the trailer really worth all the struggles? I know it's a beauty but have you considered selling it and starting over with a more healthy one?
Money and a strong will are probably good reasons to go through all the struggles but on the other hand, it's just money and stress and missing the kid are sometimes even more stress...
sorry if I step on your toes, just thought you might be in a trailer-spiral...
All the luck and love from Germany

You don’t need to make a big dramatic decision re the trailer.
If you want to carry on just park it for a bit until Frankie is a bit bigger. No rush x

This first year of parenting always seemed to me that as soon as I figured out our daily routine, the baby would grow and need a new one! It will get better. As Frankie grows, his routine/schedule will work for longer. You guys will figure out how & when to prioritize couple time over family time. And you don’t have to have all the answers right now. Just a little reminder with love that you got this! And you are killing it! ❤😊

I dont know if this is something anyone has mentioned, but we took sleep shifts. I would feed the baby at say, 7pm and then sleep. My husband stayed awake and did the 10pm feed. I did the 1 or 2am one and then he did the 5/6am one as the baby slept longer stretches. that way we each got at least 6 hours, which honestly, felt like a godsend. It's hard - don't feel compelled to do trailer things on our account. We are here with you throughout this journey. Just making it through the day is a huge deal when a baby is that small.

If you have a towing service you pay a yearly membership to like here in the states(AAA), maybe have it towed on a flatbed with a towing service to your Dad's shop. Of course, only at 9:09 on this video so far. Hope better news for you comes before end of video. Tooting(lol)! I mean Rooting for you kids! Good luck!

An I offer a suggestion.? Forget the idea of ‘balance’. It doesn’t exist. Sometimes family needs to be the priority, other times work, and then self care, and whatever else is important to you. I think this eutopic idea of balance causes us undue distress
, but the reality is, for peace of mind, we have to prioritize what’s most important at the time, for what length of time. Sounds like Frankie and your relationship is what’s important right now - and the rest can wait. (Yes, I realize you make money by doing this) - but even that can be adjusted too 😉. Take care of you - the rest will still be there later. Progress, not perfection!

Babies change from day to day at this stage....is this really worth it for this period in time. Just go as a family for the week. Believe me, being together as a family is the most important thing. I think I have told you my husband passed away from cancer at 43 yrs young when our son was 4 yrs old. Please stay together, hope you can find a way not to be gone for a week at a time by yourself, Levi. Hoping and wishing for all to be right. 😊😢❤

You will make it through when it comes time to travel for the trailer. I made it through with our son when my husband was fishing for a living. Look up longliiner fishing on the east coast. He would be gone anywhere from 15-21 days, and home 2 days before gone again. You got this momma and pappa!

Are you throwing good money after bad??
Is pride preventing you from admitting you made a bad decision?
Is it time to cut your losses and focus more on your new family and buy a more appropriate vehicle when you’re ready to roll.
Wisdom is knowing when to say goodbye to something in your life that’s holding you back from moving forward.

Just some thoughts I had after specifically watching this video, but It's just great to see you guys doing well honestly.
Sometimes money can relief stress, and you can totally notice how relaxed Levi was while recording during backing in. I can totally see you guys getting the 3 camera setup. One on the trailer and one in the cabin for a slightly less wide angle shot.
As for the trailer, it will probably be put on a back burner. Don't have to make excuses for that.

A bit of a pro hack for dash cameras: set the time to coordinated universal time (UTC). This solves several problems. The first UTC is the same time all around the world, so it's easy-ish to convert it to local time, which is useful when you want to document document when something happens. It also means you don't have to think about the time when you cross time zones, because UTC is always just UTC. The final thing is UTC does not observe Daylight Saving Time, so you never have to adjust it because you went somewhere that does/doesn't observe DST. You will still need to adjust the time periodically to account for time drift, but that's something cannot avoid given most dash cameras don't use atomic clocks that keep super accurate time. We could get into how atomic clocks tend to keep time a little too well, but that's a conversation for another time (pun unintended). 😅

Frankie is so adorable. You guys are doing so amazing, just remember that! Everyone has limits. Frankie is continuously growing and changing each month, and you will be growing with and adapting your parenting for his ever changing needs. That in itself is so much! Definitely give yourselves breaks from your obligations with the trailer and work as much as you can. They do say it takes a Village to raise a child, and that is so true! So lean on your support as much as you can. My child is 5 and we are blessed to have both grandmothers and a great nan local to us, and it really makes such a difference. It will get slowly easier, but honestly every age has its struggles (the tantrums of a toddler being one of the worsts from my parent experience so far 😂) and the most stressed/pressure on my relationship with my husband ever! But, so far, we are doing alright, definitely a thousand ups and downs though all relating to parenting. The day before my paid family leave time ended and I had to go back to work while my wife and daughter stayed home was pretty bad. Me and my partner everytime we were feeling desconnected we talked about our future when our daughter is an adult, we will have a lot of time just us to date again and have a new experience dating when older and falling in love in new ways. Don't get me wrong we still try and now we can, that she is two, we still make time for one another but talking about the future like that takes a lot of pressure out of the present. But then you have a new baby and he needs to be in one place at least for now, and it is becoming a paradox. Yes the baby would like to give his views as well if he could? Let the baby grow and you both focus on the new life and the new lifestyle.

It's not all about you two anymore, Frankie is and should be center stage. You all have it much easier than most new parents… no 9 to 5 jobs in an office everyday, you live with your parents so no household responsibilities, you live in Canada so don’t have to be concerned about having a real job for health insurance. Get over yourselves and focus on Frankie.
