My wife asked why I was crying while watching UA-cam. 🥺😭 But I was also smiling because you still manage to keep things upbeat. I'm surprised you didn't point out the fact your child could arrive on LABOUR DAY?! 😂
And don't worry about uploads, we'll all be here for the update when you're all ready to share one, whether it's for the family or the trailer. Take your time to relax now, because there will be no rest after baby arrives!

Have loved you two for a long time. My son just moved to college two days ago. Watching this reminded me of how I knew my life would change but didn’t know how. How my pregnancy didn’t go according to plan. At ALL. And neither did his childhood. How I feel so much wiser than I used to feel. And how I never knew how much more deeply I could love another human being. You are each good people. And you have a strong relationship. You are already great parents. Kids will keep you on your toes… they have no idea that our heartstrings are wrapped around their tiny fingers. I’m so sorry it’s scary right now. As another poster said - you have a whole world of people rooting for this child. Count me as one of them. So much love to you, baby, and your whole families!

Back in the late ‘60s, my mom failed a pregnancy test and consequently did not know she was pregnant with me until she was 5 months along. She only gained a total of 15 pounds, so I’m told. I came 3 weeks early, and was just over incubator weight. They were prepared for the baby to have “problems”. Turned out I had no developmental delays whatsoever. I know there are no guarantees and am so glad for the great health care you and baby are receiving. Just a reminder that medicine doesn’t know all, and babies love to surprise us! Praying for you all!

    • @karinebrisson8768

Just my small input on cloth diapers . You really dont have to soak them in vinaigre and water. If you are breastfeeding. The poop is water soluble until the child eats. If not, you just use some little liners or you scoop it and rinse with only water but let it dry. If you soak them it might get some mold or the elastics might deteriorate quick.
A big wetbag with a zipper or just an open basket will work :)

    Hi Leah,
I've never commented here, but I thought it would be nice to hear a good story in this circumstance. Something like this happened to me when my baby was not growing: placenta issues. I got super concerned as any mother would. I was induced at 39 weeks and my beautiful baby boy was born small, but healthy. He is 2 and a half, and having him is such a joy. It was scary, but how lucky are we to have modern medicine supporting us? Good luck in this new chapter and you have a beautiful family to support you.

Breastfed babies you just put the diapers in the wash with everything in it and it comes clean no problem. (I do rinse cycle first and then wash as normal on hot) The only time you'll need an extra step is when they start solids but you have 6 months before that. We are so excited for your family! My sister in law was less then a pound at birth for the same reason and she has no health issues and is in great health. I'm just so happy you live in Canada where you can get such good healthcare. Best wishes!

Best of luck!! As a father of 2, where both were born a couple of weeks early, things are going to be alright. Spend time with the kid, sleep as much as you can for the first few weeks while all they do is sleep, and cuddle lots. You'll learn REALLY quick about poop 😂💩. You'll get scared shitless a million times for a million things you'll realise were seriously stupid once you went through the shock. But that's being a parent, and it is scary, and it is wonderful, and you'll both love it.

  • @soplv605

I’d say the baby just can’t wait to meet you 😉
As a fellow premie baby, (almost 3months early, 1.5kg), I’m still a bit shorter than the rest of my family but that may just be a coincidence.
When my parents left the hospital they were told not to have too high expectations, that I’d always be more fragile than the other kids, and they’d need to be patient with me. My dad took it as a challenge and said “we will see about that!”.
I walked, talked and read before any other kid my age.
I think these comments can be a self fulfilling prophecy.
I’m wishing all three of you lots of love and encourage you to let your baby determine the pace! 🥰

I was born 6 weeks before my due date due to my mom having an umbilical hernia. Not only that, she didn't realize she was pregnant until nearly 5 months. She was given a two day heads up that she had to have a c section both for her health and mine. I was born in Colombia weighing in a little under 5 lbs and spent a few days in the hospital with my mom as she recovered from her surgeries. Once she went home, so did I. I'm 29 now, the only "development" issues I had was being in the lowest height percentile, which could be due to several reasons outside of being premie. I'm rooting for you both and you're little one, I'm sure you both will be incredible parents to your little cutie.

If it goes by the book it’s boring. You will have genuinely interesting pregnancy tales to tell! I was induced to give birth to a baby projected to weigh 11.5 pounds. My 9.5 pound baby arrived after 4.5 days of labour. His head was so large it wasn’t just off the top of the chart but off the top of the page the chart was on!!!! He’s now a 26 year old, engaged, Graduate. I use the story to drive him mad when he winds me up 😂😂😂. Once the bean is here and has a few good feeds in him all will be well. You two will be the most amazing parents and they will be fabulous. Sending you love, strength and hugs ❤❤❤

I appreciate that baby is probably already on the scene but just a heads up with washable nappies.
You SHOULD NOT wet bucket modern nappies as it destroys the lamination of them. Modern washable nappies should be put in a dry bucket and you can add a few drops of tea tree oil if you want to but it’s not necessary, just wash them regularly don’t leave them for days before washing. Hope that helps and massive congratulations!!!

Good Luck!!! Just had an induction three weeks ago with our second kiddo, its a wild ride but you will both do great! Our little girl Mae was born at 36 weeks last February. I also had an early induction (because of high blood pressure). It is indeed a shock when they tell you your gonna become parents sooner than expected. She ended up being around 5lbs, tiny but healthy, and stayed at the neonatal ward for 10 days. She’s now almost 7 months and still rather small but very happy and active and developing as normal. I must say as a first time parent the amount of great care tips from all of the neonatal nurses was actually nice to have. I hope all goes well and you will feel supported by your family and the hospital staff in taking care of your precious little one.

Cloth diapering advice, feel free to take it or leave it! I found cloth diapering so easy in the first few months. Up until formula or food was introduced, smell was a non-issue. I never heard of a vinegar soak for the diapers (but there's lots of methods!). I put all diapers in a huge wet bag in a trash can with a lid and when it was laundry day (every 7 days), I'd throw it all in the wash. There are plenty of support groups for cloth diapering because it can be difficult to get your groove. I'm rooting for y'all through all of this!
Also, (and y'all know this) there's no shame in a disposable diaper. I had to switch to pull ups at night time because no other option was keeping my kiddo dry (and they aren't ready to night train). I was very upset about this but ugh, whatever. I value sleep so much as a parent and changing wet clothing and sheets off my passed out child ain't the vibe.
Also also, I just sold my kid's stash of cloth diapers and it was a little emotional getting rid of them! I kept my favorite one. Prepare to get attached.
Good luck to y'all! I can't wait to hear an update when y'all are ready for it. ❤

    Leah & Levi,
I’m sorry this last part of your pregnancy has been so stressful 😢 Your doctors have been on it… may things go smoothly & your little bean adjusts to life on this side quickly! Very loved “being” already.
Take care of each other… We are here to celebrate with all of you when you’ve gotten into the swing of being parents. Sending blessings, hugs & well wishes 💓
    Crissy & Crew 🐾

Sending you love and support and encouragement. You had lots of tests out of an abundance of caution. Thars very good. Your doctor is knowledgeable and will take care of you Leah, and your baby. You have so many people praying for your situation. 😊
I was born 3 months early in 1960. 1 lb 9 oz. I have no health issues. I even gave birth to 2 healthy children in my early 30's. Technology now is light years away from what it was in 1960. Your baby is going to be in great hands. Sending lots of love and light and prayers. ❤

Guys so excited for you. I’ve used cloth diapers for 3 years with my two kiddos and it is not recommended to soak them. Just need to rinse off the poo (we installed a bidet to the toilet to make this process super easy) and store in bucket neither good airflow for no more than 2 days before washing. It’s a bit of learning curve with the nappies but once you get it it’s easy and worth it!
