Jeff, you need to make sure you have a skin inspection head to toe at least every other year. Your baking out in that sun all year and your super fair skinned.

Great video! I’ve found many a nugget under them hand stacked piles! Them old boys were headed right down the middle looking for the best concentration of gold. They kinda had to just to survive. With that, they left lots of side banks that still have some nice gold! Some of my biggest nuggets came from tiny spots they missed or covered up on the edges. Most people see all the old workings and walk away like there couldn’t be anything left, but I get excited!
The hand stacks were almost hard to identify with the time they've been there. Now we know what to look for. Thanks Jeff for pointing them out. Nobody does prispecting like you do! Always top notch information and entertainment to boot!

I was working at a home which was built by the owner of a marble company. He saved the best piece for the kitchen splashbacks. It was pitch black marble with a thick white quartz vein running through which was FULL of gold. It stopped me in my tracks and I probably stared at it for half an hour. Unbelievable!

Tbh jeff the iPhone camera does a great job of close ups. I had a Sony a6400 for a camera and after someone stole my backpack w the batteries I switched to iPhone and it’s been doing a great job of close ups. If you want the camera tho I’ll trade yah for a membership to your channel

They've been looking, "Ed's" ( the old man everyone loves) lost gold mine for years now... I believe it was his dads or grandfathers, something... Old man Ed tells stories of big gold from that mine nuggets the size of your fist... Of course, these guys don't know the first thing about gold mining well, maybe old Ed, but he's a bit too old to be hiking it all over them hill looking for it... I left a comment stating they should reach out to you, maybe you should do the same. It would be a fun collaboration and a good hike anyway, and maybe you could find some gold along the way, well I'm sure of it. damn what a shame. That stamp mill was beautiful back in the day. As I recall it was a 6 or 8 stamp mill. Wonder what happened to it. Early 60's. Lots of buildings and roads laid out. Sad to see the change but thanks for the video.

My friend, Rich Randall, had a relative that was Mayor of Como back in the day. We went there often as kids in HS in the early 60''s. Used to go down the shafts in VC on ropes and bring up crap we sold to the merchants (dynamite boxes, lunch pails, picks, shovels, etc). Good source of income for us stupid kids. Lots of good memories and glad we came out alive. Oh, I must say it was very similar to the one at Lida as I recall.
