@@Nick10nick thank you for caring. Funny actually, I’m going to tell a “too long, didn’t read story” here. Before I came to Christ I loved this girl a year ahead of me in school. Long story short she ended up moving away and I choked on telling her how I felt. From then last year to about 4 days ago, I struggled sleeping because i stayed up all night thinking about how much I loved her and how much of a coward I was. About 4 days ago, I saw her at the movie theater, she came back. I have her my number and I plan on asking her if she’d like to go out sometime on Valentine’s Day. I haven’t committed lust based sum since then. It really refocused my priorities. It’s been an amazing development story on how the good lord has rewarded me and guided day by day to Beating it.

I’m a christian, but still struggles at lust. My flesh body is still wanting it, but for sure my spirit is regretting it. I confess and repent every time I lust, but sometimes temptation is strong and I fail. I believe I’m weak and the sin is great, but no sin greater than GOD and I know He is there to accept me always as His son. I am still praying for this brothers and God bless you all!

I pray that God gives you strength in your battles with the spirit of lust. One thing that I found helpful was to not surround yourself with things that are going to tempt you, because eventually you will relapse, and that relapse feels absolutely terrible. These things could be certain people, or they could just be things that you are watching or reading. Either way, cut them out of your life if they are tempting you because they are of the devil. Make sure you have an actual relationship with God and by doing so you’ll try that much harder to make him happy and to not disappoint him. Good luck on your walk with Christ, you got this! Through Christ, all things are possible so stay strong!
I literally just finished crying. Lust has been my number one problem with an endless cycle of doing the same things over and over. You lust, you feel bad afterwards, and then one day you lust again. This spirit is no joke and I would be a hypocrite if I told you that you should talk to someone else about because I am too ashamed to talk to anyone about it. But what I could say is fasting, reading, and praying continuously is the key. Discipline is to important in stopping this addiction. Always position yourself in the best possible situation. For example, don't walk into the bathroom with your phone or any device or for some they don't sleep with their phone even in the same room. But most importantly remember that God is on your side. "He loves you just the way you are, but he loves you too much for you to stay that way." I don't know who may be encouraged by this. I may just be typing to myself mostly. But just know that God loves you and he will never abandon you and he wants you to leave lust and join him eternally.😃😃😃

Lust have not always been in human nature, its one of the curses that is instilled in people after the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Nothing was wrong with everyone being naked at first,but sin has been planted into us to think and do the wrong things. For example Adam and Eve was walking around the Garden of Eden naked but nothing was wrong with that because they was pure until they decide to eat the apple of good and evil which was an act of disobedience against God. Now everyone has sin and that's where lust comes from. Hate is also human nature but hate is not good. Same thing with lust, its human nature but doesn't mean its good. Lust from porn definitely ruined a lot of my relationship. I have demons knowing that I've lied to my partner to get a quick rush on my own. I too was introduced to porn at a very young age of 6. I struggled for years forward not understanding the complexity of damage being done to my brain. I hate thinking of other women in lustful ways and I know how wrong it is to myself and my partner. I developed this bad habit as I aged but as I continue to age; I want to deconstruct this habit and cut it out for good. It has been several months and I haven't done it. The urges got weaker and sometimes come by strong. However I am stronger with God having my back. Stay blessed 🙌

I fought lust for years, I was too weak, when the lust got strong I relied on my own strength of will to win, I never won those battles. Now I turn to God when I feel the slightest bit of lust. Pray hard, beg Him to take the lust away. Like a child you must turn to your father and ask for his grace. Recognise your weakness, turn to your Father without hesitance. Keep your lips praying the Lord's prayer at all times, pray ceaselessley. Never lose sight of Eternity my Brothers.
This reminder helps me : temptation is not the sin, we all can be tempted. Don’t feel bad if you are tempted but acting on temptation is the sin. God can always restore and forgive when we repent. I like this though because i use to be hard on myself when i would be tempted but i realized even Jesus was tempted we just have to make the choice to not act on it and keep trying. Sometimes you’re own phone is your worst enemy, pornography is everywhere and the temptation is always there. Getting filled with the word of God and meditating on his word will help you overcome lust.
I had to get rid of all social media because it's way to easy to fall back into lust. I got rid of my tv, I severely limit my phone time per week, but my downfall are my days off when nobody wants to hang out and I'm lonely at my house. It seems as if lust really plans his shot when I am most vunerable. I get very discouraged sometimes but God makes it possible for all of us to overcome, his word says so. I encourage you my brother! We will overcome one day.... We will stand on high ground one day
What helped me overcome lust was Romans 6.. I'm saying to myself:" I'm crucified with Christ. I've died to lust." Its so powerful. That's the only thing that gave me victory. When you identify as already died with Christ and that you are already sanctified then you are from a position of strength. Its like a one swoosh solution for all sexual immorality. Im so satisfied with this solution that I don't want to try any other ways..its my final solution...Ive watched many videos on lust issue but Ive seen very seldom that partakers in the death of Christ is offered as the way..
I can confirm this is very helpful. Tho I would also like to add that I don't think you should view it as a "final solution". Sure, it's a very good method (and it has been for me as well) to get your composure back, but the only true solution is to constantly feed the Holy Spirit. It is literally impossible to fight with our own hands, we have to always read the Bible and live in constant prayer, keeping every thought captive
One point of clarification, while he DID the right thing in his story which was FLEEING from TEMPTATION, it needs to be stated more clearly that we should RESIST the DEVIL (James 4:7) and FLEE from TEMPTATION (not hang around it long enough to even have to resist it). If you try to resist temptation (e.g. if he had decided to hang around where the naked woman was) eventually you will give into it (I Corinthians 6:8).

Does anyone feel like when you lust, a switch is flipped? I feel like a completely different person when I lust, like who is that guy? That is because the ruach ( spirit ) of lust is actually ENTERING in and causes us to sin; and he stays in till the sin is finished - or till he's chased out by prayer and fasting.
Lust has probably been my biggest struggle in life. I was introduced to sexuality way too early. Too early for any kid really. And I struggled with masturbation from about 5 years old. I'd later be introduced to pornography and it all culminated into the worst possible outcome. Everything upto vivid wet dreams. It became scarier and scarier the older I got. BUT! Jesus saved me. He healed me! It's absolutely crucial for me to sacrifice my flesh at the altar of God's heart every single day. I have to die everyday so that The Holy Spirit lives in me throughout my day. I rebuke negative/lustful thoughts as they come. The Holy Spirit exposes them, I repent and cover myself with the Blood of Jesus. It's not easy, but with Christ it is possible. He holds my hand through it all❤️ I've realized that the first step with any sin is always admission. You have to acknowledge and accept that you have a problem. God cannot heal what we do not reveal. Admission and confession are the path to deliverance 🙏🏾
I am in the same boat wow . My innocence was destroyed around 5-6 and I have been dealing with the sexual lust war. Pornography came from my first relationship that person lead me to so much sexual things . I felt sex was a way to find love or keep someone. Made me realized how negative my life became . So it's not even just me and you, there are many of us who were groomed when we were little and that spirit was planted in us. The good news is greater The One who is in us than the one that's in the world. Jesus overcame it. Our only job is by faith to live in that victory. I pray that Holy Spirit continue to walk with us and guide us through Scripture into living liberated lives. We were not called to live in shame and guilt, that is not our portion. Why did god put in place an inperfect world, if we werent meant to make it better? Please pray for me. Just before I watched this video I was full of lust and I just asked God to help me. I opened UA-cam to distract myself from the lust and this video was on the homepage. God gave me the right video at the right time. My eyes have been opened.
Not on this occasion, but it has happened to me before. Remember that the devil is cunning and scheming, he always tries to get us to fall. But we are not ignorant of his schemes. When out of nowhere lustful thoughts start filling my mind, I put on worship music, it helps. I realised that when I get lustful thoughts it's not my body's natural biological working but the devil feeding me ideas trying to get me to fall, and if I encourage those thoughts I most certainly will fall,but if I call on God in that hour of need he will show up and save me.

I gave up pornography three months ago today. I got tired of the guilt and shame, and got into a recovery group at my church. While in a sense it has been liberating, in another sense, the battle has gotten even more difficult. Whereas before I wouldn’t necessarily have as much of a desire to seek out sex, after giving up porn, my thoughts about trying to hook up with women increased tremendously. Part of the reason the battle is so intense sometimes is because I am a single male who lives by himself and is a virgin. It doesn’t help that so much of the media around us forces scantily clad women and sexual scenarios in our faces. Of course keeping busy and working/coming to church helps keep my mind off of it. Like most of the other men on this video, I could use some prayer. I am continuing to claim victory over this.

Still haven't beaten it, but I noticed the struggle start to alleviate when I met this amazing lady. She is now my fiance, and we are very happy together. After I got into a relationship, I realized the root of the struggle with p*** was loneliness. It's still something I battle, but it gets easier when you have a companion. I think the part of the struggle when you're a virgin is that you of course want to experience sex. Once you get it, the pressure is relieved. I think a lot of virgins also think that sex is going to be this mind-boggling experience, but it all depends on who your partner is. Sex is only going to be great if you are in love with your partner. A quick hookup is going to leave you unfulfilled. I wish I would have realized sooner that sex itself wasn't going to fix the problem, but rather falling in love with the right woman.
I agreed and disagree because yes indeed having a partner a wife or a husband helps but let's not put confidence in our flesh there tons of marriages dealing with lust and porn this is something so wicked the remedy is denying ourselves daily, praying, and reading our word, resisting and fleeing from sin lack of discipline and constantly being distracted with our phone can lead us back even UA-cam is not safe. I've been struggling with sexual sin in all forms since 5th grade. But knew I would have a problem with it since about 4 years old. Its like I was always "interested" in that stuff without knowing. Once i found pornography ive watched it twice a day, every day, for the last 10 years. I've been in bad relationships where sex was the foundation and abuse was the outcome. Lust to me is more then just kryptonite, I can resist it in person, change conversations when lust is the topic but when I'm alone if I see one small thing it sets me off and I have to climb back that mountain again. I'm 19 now, about to be 20. I've found a wonderful woman who I hope that one day I can settle down with, a godly woman who does nothing but encourage me to keep going and to keep getting better. I have a feeling that Gods allowing it to happen enough times so that I genuinely get fed up with it and have the conscious strength to cut it down before it starts. Tomorrow will be day 1 of a clean slate, that's why I'm on this video. My advice to everyone here is something ive realized in the progress, your hardest challenge the devil set you up with is what you need to overcome the most to help other people. People who have been addicted to drugs start drug campaigns to help others, ex-gang members who get saved help save other gang members. For all of us here, people who struggle with sexual sin will help other people who watch porn, are physically active before marriage, maybe even minister to sex workers to come follow Christ. I believe that's possible for everyone. Some may take longer but Jesus has never not been able to save someone if we put in the work on our side. To God be the glory, I haven't defiled myself in months. Obviously prayer, God's word, and calling on him for help is the key. But also just remember to take it day by day. Literally! Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). Today I repeated “compassion instead of lust” over and over during school and any time the devil tried to slip in inappropriate songs into my head. I’m gonna be honest it’s really hard not to lust after this specific person, but I just recently learned he has a very very tough home life, so I turned my lust into prayer and compassion for his situation and I’ve started praying that God help take away his lustful thoughts and bring him into Gods loving arms and if God wants to do that through me then I will obey.

I try my best to be as capable and decent to others around me. I don't curse, act rude, or make flirty comments to anyone, I just try to be nice. But the people around me make it hard. Being inappropriate for a joke is something I never understood (dark humor) and cursing is like a cool thing that makes you look more adult, which it's actually the opposite, it shows you're more ignorant. But I always look forward to the Summers because that's when I'm away from school.

*Lust isn't about the physical aspect, it's about the psychological. Lust is a form of abuse and like all forms of abuse the psychological element is what drives the whole issue. As a survivor of childhood, domestic abuse, I know this almost better than anyone. The reason why people have this false sense of what lust is is because they don't understand that part, we see a mere fraction of what happened during these cases (the sexual assualt) and believe that's all there is to it. Because of this, we assume the victim was responsible for "enticing" the perpetrator, this is ignorance. What we don't see is the priming and grooming and intimidation and breaking down of the victim's psychology in order to make this happen. That part of it is more "fun" for the villain than the actual assualt and that's why all acts of lust (pee...dough...feel ya, raype, incest, prostitution, po...rn, molestation, neck...row...feel ya, zoo-feel ya, home...O...sexuality) are deemed men-tall disorders. Do your research and you'll find that the majority of sexual predators have severe men-tall disorders and PTSD. This is what I wish more people understood.*

God has given you natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with them, but heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). That will eliminate lust that makes you look at another person as a sex object. And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with natural urges and impure thoughts that result in sin certainly. You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. There’s a difference between loneliness and aloneness. The deep loneliness we experience we try to satisfy with lust or something else. Yet to not be lonely we need experience aloneness with God. Which is getting quiet or silent enough to let everything (fear, anxiety) swell up and give it over to God.

Resisting is so hard for me because I crave the comfort that I'm depriving myself of by not looking at porn. The war on porn really keeps you on the backfoot; just like real resistance groups, or movies like The Matrix, we are forced experience the discomfort of the sewers while the oppressor, Porn, lives in its ivory tower and taunts you with creature comforts. That's why I really got a lot out of learning the second strategy of refilling. God promises Joy and refreshment from knowing Him and grasping those promises when we are in the heat of battle is crucial for surviving the war long term until the wonderful day when we beat lust. I was 12 when I got exposed to porn. 10 years later it’s still been a major part of my life until 4-5 months ago when I started walking according to the spirit instead of the flesh. However I’ve been struggling recently and just yesterday I broke my near month long streak of no porn. It’s so frustrating. I’m glad this video popped up out of nowhere on my recommendations! I struggled with lust for the past year since I was 13 I’m 14 now. And honestly it hurt me a lot of honestly I didn’t realize the Devil was trying to mess with me he tried putting into my head that lust is okay and tried to make me feel like lust was a good thing to feel. At first when it first started happening to me I didn’t think much of it. It was like every day single day I was getting deeper into it and it got to the point where it started hurting me and damaging me and I didn’t know where to get my self out of it. I remember one day I heard gods voice and it was like god was trying to reach out to me. And ever since that day I started praying and reading the Bible and my family has been going to church and I feel so much better 🥺😭❤️. God saw everything I was going through and helped me and I even felt like I wasn’t gonna get my self out of it and he helped me through it.

Struggled with lust since I was a kid. I was introduced to porn at 7. Preceding a nasty divorce from my parents. Mom took me away from my dad leaving him nothing and didn't see him for years. Even lusting after people you don't know: celebrities, strangers, characters, etc. the desire for them to desire you is still there and lusting after those people will lead to lusting after people you do know. For other people who deal with lust like that don't forget that it's still the same root of sin even if it's after people you don't know.
if we watch something like pornography, and we get scared, why would we desire to go back to it? It’s not because you’re scared of porn site because your flesh wants to lust.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say the root of all evil is fear. Matter of fact the only time it explicitly says the something like that is when it says “the love of money is the root of all evil”. Not to try and argue or anything but it just feels weird to say it when it’s not really said In scripture.

I wrote a contract to my self, that I would stop masturbating and watching porn, and wrote how much I hated it and how disgusting it was, and from that point I was easily able to quit, mindset is everything, but failed like 10 times before I succeeded

Whenever you feel the temptation pray, splash your face with cold water, read your favourite verses, CRY OUT TO GOD! Believe me it helps. Long story short she ended up moving away and I choked on telling her how I felt. From then last year to about 4 days ago, I struggled sleeping because i stayed up all night thinking about how much I loved her and how much of a coward I was. About 4 days ago, I saw her at the movie theater, she came back. I have her my number and I plan on asking her if she’d like to go out sometime on Valentine’s Day. I pray that God gives you strength in your battles with the spirit of lust. One thing that I found helpful was to not surround yourself with things that are going to tempt you, because eventually you will relapse, and that relapse feels absolutely terrible. These things could be certain people, or they could just be things that you are watching or reading. Either way, cut them out of your life if they are tempting you because they are of the devil. I literally just finished crying. Lust has been my number one problem with an endless cycle of doing the same things over and over. You lust, you feel bad afterwards, and then one day you lust again. This spirit is no joke and I would be a hypocrite if I told you that you should talk to someone else about because I am too ashamed to talk to anyone about it. But what I could say is fasting, reading, and praying continuously is the key. Discipline is to important in stopping this addiction. Always position yourself in the best possible situation. For example, don't walk into the bathroom with your phone or any device or for some they don't sleep with their phone even in the same room. But most importantly remember that God is on your side. "He loves you just the way you are, but he loves you too much for you to stay that way." I don't know who may be encouraged by this. I may just be typing to myself mostly. But just know that God loves you and he will never abandon you and he wants you to leave lust and join him eternally.😃😃😃

Lust from porn definitely ruined a lot of my relationship. I have demons knowing that I've lied to my partner to get a quick rush on my own. I too was introduced to porn at a very young age of 6. I struggled for years forward not understanding the complexity of damage being done to my brain. I hate thinking of other women in lustful ways and I know how wrong it is to myself and my partner. I developed this bad habit as I aged but as I continue to age; I want to deconstruct this habit and cut it out for good. It has been several months and I haven't done it. I had to get rid of all social media because it's way to easy to fall back into lust. I got rid of my tv, I severely limit my phone time per week, but my downfall are my days off when nobody wants to hang out and I'm lonely at my house. It seems as if lust really plans his shot when I am most vunerable. I get very discouraged sometimes but God makes it possible for all of us to overcome, his word says so. I encourage you my brother! We will overcome one day.... We will stand on high ground one day
What helped me overcome lust was Romans 6..
I'm saying to myself:" I'm crucified with Christ. I've died to lust." Its so powerful. That's the only thing that gave me victory. When you identify as already died with Christ and that you are already sanctified then you are from a position of strength. Its like a one swoosh solution for all sexual immorality.

One point of clarification, while he DID the right thing in his story which was FLEEING from TEMPTATION, it needs to be stated more clearly that we should RESIST the DEVIL (James 4:7) and FLEE from TEMPTATION (not hang around it long enough to even have to resist it). If you try to resist temptation (e.g. if he had decided to hang around where the naked woman was) eventually you will give into it (I Corinthians 6:8).

Lust has probably been my biggest struggle in life. I was introduced to sexuality way too early. Too early for any kid really. And I struggled with masturbation from about 5 years old. I'd later be introduced to pornography and it all culminated into the worst possible outcome. Everything upto vivid wet dreams. It became scarier and scarier the older I got. BUT! Jesus saved me. He healed me! It's absolutely crucial for me to sacrifice my flesh at the altar of God's heart every single day. I have to die everyday so that The Holy Spirit lives in me throughout my day. I rebuke negative/lustful thoughts as they come. The Holy Spirit exposes them, I repent and cover myself with the Blood of Jesus. It's not easy, but with Christ it is possible. He holds my hand through it all❤️ I've realized that the first step with any sin is always admission. You have to acknowledge and accept that you have a problem. God cannot heal what we do not reveal. Admission and confession are the path to deliverance 🙏🏾

I was introduced to lust a bit late, probably 12 years old. I’m still battling to this day but I know God has already won the war for me. We just have to trust His plan for us.

I find that it's something that is much frowned upon and then it's a perpetual battle with no decisive deliverance when that is possible with God indeed. But that is what the obedience of faith is about (Romans 1:5). We have to be doers of the word (James 1:21-22). As a survivor of childhood, domestic abuse, I know this almost better than anyone. The reason why people have this false sense of what lust is is because they don't understand that part, we see a mere fraction of what happened during these cases (the sexual assualt) and believe that's all there is to it. Because of this, we assume the victim was responsible for "enticing" the perpetrator, this is ignorance. What we don't see is the priming and grooming and intimidation and breaking down of the victim's psychology in order to make this happen. That part of it is more "fun" for the villain than the actual assualt and that's why all acts of lust (pee...dough...feel ya, raype, incest, prostitution, po...rn, molestation, neck...row...feel ya, zoo-feel ya, home...O...sexuality) are deemed men-tall disorders. Do your research and you'll find that the majority of sexual predators have severe men-tall disorders and PTSD. This is what I wish more people understood.*

Not on this occasion, but it has happened to me before. Remember that the devil is cunning and scheming, he always tries to get us to fall. But we are not ignorant of his schemes. When out of nowhere lustful thoughts start filling my mind, I put on worship music, it helps. I realised that when I get lustful thoughts it's not my body's natural biological working but the devil feeding me ideas trying to get me to fall, and if I encourage those thoughts I most certainly will fall,but if I call on God in that hour of need he will show up and save me.

Lust is a sin, which leads to porn addiction, fornication, and even rape does nothing good because it hardens your heart, makes you short tempered, more impatient, lazy, and even puts you in seasons of depression. I know because this is how lust has affected me, but when I walk in the Spirit I am slow to get angry, more patient, I have more motivation to get things done, and more at peace.

*Lust isn't about the physical aspect, it's about the psychological. Lust is a form of abuse and like all forms of abuse the psychological element is what drives the whole issue. As a survivor of childhood, domestic abuse, I know this almost better than anyone. The reason why people have this false sense of what lust is is because they don't understand that part, we see a mere fraction of what happened during these cases (the sexual assualt) and believe that's all there is to it. Because of this, we assume the victim was responsible for "enticing" the perpetrator, this is ignorance. What we don't see is the priming and grooming and intimidation and breaking down of the victim's psychology in order to make this happen. That part of it is more "fun" for the villain than the actual assualt and that's why all acts of lust (pee...dough...feel ya, raype, incest, prostitution, po...rn, molestation, neck...row...feel ya, zoo-feel ya, home...O...sexuality) are deemed men-tall disorders. Do your research and you'll find that the majority of sexual predators have severe men-tall disorders and PTSD. This is what I wish more people understood.*

I gave up pornography three months ago today. I got tired of the guilt and shame, and got into a recovery group at my church. While in a sense it has been liberating, in another sense, the battle has gotten even more difficult. Whereas before I wouldn’t necessarily have as much of a desire to seek out sex, after giving up porn, my thoughts about trying to hook up with women increased tremendously. Part of the reason the battle is so intense sometimes is because I am a single male who lives by himself and is a virgin. It doesn’t help that so much of the media around us forces scantily clad women and sexual scenarios in our faces. Of course keeping busy and working/coming to church helps keep my mind off of it.
Like most of the other men on this video, I could use some prayer. I am continuing to claim victory over this.

Still haven't beaten it, but I noticed the struggle start to alleviate when I met this amazing lady. She is now my fiance, and we are very happy together. After I got into a relationship, I realized the root of the struggle with p*** was loneliness. It's still something I battle, but it gets easier when you have a companion. I think the part of the struggle when you're a virgin is that you of course want to experience sex. Once you get it, the pressure is relieved. I think a lot of virgins also think that sex is going to be this mind-boggling experience, but it all depends on who your partner is. Sex is only going to be great if you are in love with your partner. A quick hookup is going to leave you unfulfilled. I wish I would have realized sooner that sex itself wasn't going to fix the problem, but rather falling in love with the right woman.

I've been struggling with sexual sin in all forms since 5th grade. But knew I would have a problem with it since about 4 years old. Its like I was always "interested" in that stuff without knowing. Once i found pornography ive watched it twice a day, every day, for the last 10 years. I've been in bad relationships where sex was the foundation and abuse was the outcome. Lust to me is more then just kryptonite, I can resist it in person, change conversations when lust is the topic but when I'm alone if I see one small thing it sets me off and I have to climb back that mountain again. I'm 19 now, about to be 20. I've found a wonderful woman who I hope that one day I can settle down with, a godly woman who does nothing but encourage me to keep going and to keep getting better. I have a feeling that Gods allowing it to happen enough times so that I genuinely get fed up with it and have the conscious strength to cut it down before it starts. Tomorrow will be day 1 of a clean slate, that's why I'm on this video. My advice to everyone here is something ive realized in the progress, your hardest challenge the devil set you up with is what you need to overcome the most to help other people. People who have been addicted to drugs start drug campaigns to help others, ex-gang members who get saved help save other gang members. For all of us here, people who struggle with sexual sin will help other people who watch porn, are physically active before marriage, maybe even minister to sex workers to come follow Christ. I believe that's possible for everyone. Some may take longer but Jesus has never not been able to save someone if we put in the work on our side. To God be the glory, I haven't defiled myself in months. Obviously prayer, God's word, and calling on him for help is the key. But also just remember to take it day by day. Literally! If you are in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life, you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 6:1-2, Romans 6:11): that is how you will be set free from sin. If you are dead to porn, then you will be walking in freedom and overcoming it as well as all other sins by the grace of God (Titus 2:11-14). That is different from being in a constant battle. You can be once and for all victorious in Jesus.

Today I repeated “compassion instead of lust” over and over during school and any time the devil tried to slip in inappropriate songs into my head. I’m gonna be honest it’s really hard not to lust after this specific person, but I just recently learned he has a very very tough home life, so I turned my lust into prayer and compassion for his situation and I’ve started praying that God help take away his lustful thoughts and bring him into Gods loving arms and if God wants to do that through me then I will obey.

I try my best to be as capable and decent to others around me. I don't curse, act rude, or make flirty comments to anyone, I just try to be nice. But the people around me make it hard. Being inappropriate for a joke is something I never understood (dark humor) and cursing is like a cool thing that makes you look more adult, which it's actually the opposite, it shows you're more ignorant. But I always look forward to the Summers because that's when I'm away from school.

I’m fighting lust this exact second. I stopped in the middle of it thank GOD. It’s a great struggle but I believe I will continue to heal and be free from lust
God has given you natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with them, but heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). That will eliminate lust that makes you look at another person as a sex object. And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with natural urges and impure thoughts that result in sin certainly.
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions.
If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you.

There’s a difference between loneliness and aloneness. The deep loneliness we experience we try to satisfy with lust or something else. Yet to not be lonely we need experience aloneness with God. Which is getting quiet or silent enough to let everything (fear, anxiety) swell up and give it over to God.

GOD is bigger than our sin
Resisting is so hard for me because I crave the comfort that I'm depriving myself of by not looking at porn. The war on porn really keeps you on the backfoot; just like real resistance groups, or movies like The Matrix, we are forced experience the discomfort of the sewers while the oppressor, Porn, lives in its ivory tower and taunts you with creature comforts. That's why I really got a lot out of learning the second strategy of refilling. God promises Joy and refreshment from knowing Him and grasping those promises when we are in the heat of battle is crucial for surviving the war long term until the wonderful day when we beat lust.

Yes the struggle is real! I have a huge problem with lust. All kinds of sexual sin. Sometimes I beat it, other times I fail.
I can share this: sexual desire in itself is natural and not evil. But there is sin when purity of heart and self-control in one's thoughts and actions are lacking (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). And God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). This is not impossible. But we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with God to go in that direction.
You are in a battle for your soul and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions.
Knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15). God's grace helps you to do that (Titus 2:11-14). God will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing God above all and you trust that He will deliver you.
Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving God's forgiveness for your past sins (Romans 3:25), healing (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15).

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin.

I was 12 when I got exposed to porn. 10 years later it’s still been a major part of my life until 4-5 months ago when I started walking according to the spirit instead of the flesh.
However I’ve been struggling recently and just yesterday I broke my near month long streak of no porn. It’s so frustrating.

notice your triggers, instead of furthering the situation, just turn off every distraction and sit with yourself, silence, let your mind go off whatever, *listen* instead of trying to change it, just stay where you are and relax into what you're feeling, chill w it and accept it for how you see it, just push away judgements and let yourself FLOW with your thoughts. Then try to involve God into your thoughts, until you feel the right time to get up and face the world again. You feel like DAAYUM after that , most of all thank yourself after

And when you are over lust, reality starts to hit and you see clear what’s hurting you. And also when you can’t manage the hurt you start to get bitter and negative, but that’s not the right way. However, but all I’m gonna do is just live the right way in God and face the hurt so I can grow.

I struggled with lust for the past year since I was 13 I’m 14 now. And honestly it hurt me a lot of honestly I didn’t realize the Devil was trying to mess with me he tried putting into my head that lust is okay and tried to make me feel like lust was a good thing to feel. At first when it first started happening to me I didn’t think much of it. It was like every day single day I was getting deeper into it and it got to the point where it started hurting me and damaging me and I didn’t know where to get my self out of it. I remember one day I heard gods voice and it was like god was trying to reach out to me. And ever since that day I started praying and reading the Bible and my family has been going to church and I feel so much better 🥺😭❤️. God saw everything I was going through and helped me and I even felt like I wasn’t gonna get my self out of it and he helped me through it.
there's no evidence that the devil exist and lust is a natrual thing only the religious makes it evil when its not really. every single person in the planet lust and your parents lusted each other before they fall in love and the person you'll end up marrying you will probably lust as he would before you will fall inlove with him/her

Struggled with lust since I was a kid. I was introduced to porn at 7. Preceding a nasty divorce from my parents. Mom took me away from my dad leaving him nothing and didn't see him for years. I've forgiven my mom for everything she did. But I'm stuck with all of my coping mechanisms that I learned over the years and it's like a leech that I can't shake off. I'm a believer. But have trust issues now. I'm emotionally scarred. Plzz pray for me!!

Don't forget! Even lusting after people you don't know: celebrities, strangers, characters, etc. the desire for them to desire you is still there and lusting after those people will lead to lusting after people you do know. For other people who deal with lust like that don't forget that it's still the same root of sin even if it's after people you don't know.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say the root of all evil is fear. Matter of fact the only time it explicitly says the something like that is when it says “the love of money is the root of all evil”. Not to try and argue or anything but it just feels weird to say it when it’s not really said In scripture.

I wrote a contract to my self, that I would stop masturbating and watching porn, and wrote how much I hated it and how disgusting it was, and from that point I was easily able to quit, mindset is everything, but failed like 10 times before I succeeded

I have been praying to Jesus Christ that God I won't masturbate and watch pornography for 100 days, but u have to show me ur face coz I wanna see u. I know he has heard me. Today, I was about to watch porn. Got so much tempted. Opened Pornhub website. Then I didn't play the video. And then I watched a Christian video and didn't give into lust. 13 days have passed till today. 87 days remaining, it's really hard. But my God has overcome the world. So I rely on him. I know he is happy seeing me fighting lust which has been my massive opponent since a long time. So I understand u guys. Keep fighting, so will I. And I hope God(Jesus Christ) will show me his face after completion of 100 days. God Bless.
