Thats great brother so you dont sin at all not even ONCE ? After you got saved? I mean your saved right??? You realized you were a sinner in need for a savior? And of corse you accepted the blood for your sins?
@@lazaruschrist6575 he who says he has no sin is a liar according the the book of 1 John 1:10, and we cannot forget what Hebrews 10:26 teaches. Arminianism is what I’m against. @@christopherjmorrison7159 I’m not trying to have a theological debate tbh, I just believe in TULIP, and that to sin intentionally is to spit on the cross of Christ. Where sin abounds, grace aboundeth more, that is for the true believer. We are not to justify any sins, but rather be dead to them. I’m not trying to keep the whole law as a legalist, but rather praise God and his Promises to deliver me, and anyone who trust in Him and His promises. Arminianism is to say that habitual sin is okay, that Gods love is unconditional, but that is beyond contrary to scripture.
@@deniss2623 100% We realise (hopefully cause some people never will) that Christ showed us what real man is all about. Virtuous, selfless, truthful. So through him and His example we can become men worthy of Fathers approval. The scriptures says tho "do one step towards me and I'll do another 10 towards you". This is what I struggle with now.
I been battle sexual temptation my whole life, and when I was young I would go to church, and church camps, I felt convicted but I would still turn towards my sexual desires, such as porn and I been still battling it. At 23 years old in college, I just started getting into the word on my own and trying to dive in it, and it gave me courage to fight this battle, it’s been around 2 months but I’m still trying to fight. Thank you for this.
There's a passage in the bible that I just love, it's in John 15, it says "I'm the true vine, and my Father is the Gardener. Remain in me, as I also remain in you, no branch can bear fruit by itself, it must remain in the vine. I am the vine: you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (Nothing for the Kingdom, he meant)" I've also used to battle sexual temptation, but I realize more and more that I'm not supposed to overcome it with my strength. I just need to remain in the vine, how do we do that? By getting closer to Jesus, with the bible, praying, worshiping, and so on.
You’ve got this! don’t give up, Focus on Jesus and Jesus will help you overcome this sin. Remember no temptation we face is more than we can handle and there is ALWAYS a way out “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV. God loves u sm!!!
I recently just gave my life back to Christ, and I failed after 3 weeks of no p*rn today, i felt ashamed and I couldn’t sleep. But the Holy Spirit put in my heart that I should fast. And that is what I will do. In Jesus name I will overcome this and for everyone who is going through the same thing, you will too🙏✝️
Brother, fight the fight! And fight through the might of Christ and not your own. Almost two years ago I also fasted and prayed and brought my long year porn addiction before the King of the universe. I‘ve been healed and protected ever since. Praise God! Trust in him brother
Persist in fasting and you will be victorious. In surprised that this wasn't mentioned.😮 And the fasting doesn't have to be an all day thing for a few days. Can skip lunch and dinner or breakfast and lunch which is what I have done x 4 days. This certainly assists to focus our spiritual side.
Wow. The only way to renew my mind is not just by reading the Bible, but also being intentionally careful about what I watch, what I listen to, who I hand out with etc. This discussion was truly fulfilling!
Just deleted my tiktok, X and even WhatsApp. It has been giving me more access to pornographic content and so forth. The more I tried to quit, the more I kept coming back because of the content I would watch and listen to... Best decision I have just made.
I fear sin when I’m tender hearted, but what would I do when invitations from females are very strong and I considered them for a while?, eventually I come out of those situations with a teared garment, I didn’t do them anytime but I come out of those warfares with shame and guilt.
No. Find in the Word where God tells us to fear sin. I find many times where He wants, and Jesus demonstrates, us to be defiant toward sin, but never to be afraid of it.
God has created you to have natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with them, but heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). That will eliminate lust that makes one look at another person as a sex object. And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with natural urges and impure thoughts that result in sin certainly. You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. When thoughts come to you that you don't care to entertain, remind yourself of what will keep you focused on pursuing godliness (Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 2:22). If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. ✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about-not sinning/deliberately disobeying God (the opposite). James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. You have to be in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 1:1-2): you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18). Peace to you!
This past year I have been applying this method and it does work. The deeper I dive into the word of God, the more I find myself free from perverse thinking and desires. I still failed a few times but the guilt that followed was greater than, because I understand what I'm missing out when I go down the wrong path. Matthew 12:43-45 is also crucial in this issue because after a period of abstinence, a void formed and I didn't fill it with the Word. Had I done that, I wouldn't have stumbled and fallen into the pit deeper than before. God is faithful and He will pull you out of the pit, but you need to reach out and hold onto His hand.
Amen brother. There are secular people who don’t struggle with this. They keep busy with work and hobbies. I guess they keep the mind busy and exercising. the blessing we get is that the Word of God sows it’s seed and transforms our heart. Our desires are to respect others in our thoughts as well as they are children of our God. I’ll keep praying for you my bro. Please pray for me too.
Yes, ive heard it being said this way: Its 'indoctrinating' yourself with the Word of God (not really indoctrination, because youre reading truthful words).
It took me six months. But I'm almost done with my first complete read through of the bible. When looked at as a whole it's an incredible read. I've decided once complete I'm just going to read it again.
Just a good idea here… get a chronological Bible and read that through once :) it will make the prophets make a lot more sense when you read about the kings etc that were on the throne at the same time 🤯🥳

Listening to this after falling (again) into the vicious cycle of sexual immorality. 😢 The guilt of committing the same sin after being liberated from it by Jesus Christ is so painful. 💔 I want to get out of this bondage forever, please pray for me. Thank you Jesus, amen 🙏🏾
I understand what you're going through. A big part that wasn’t spoken about in the video is that, not only can we not fight sexual temptations on our own but we need our Father's spirit to help us. I used to masterbate almost every day for about five years. When I gave my life to Jesus, I began building a relationship with him that I never had before. He showed me what sin really is and what sin really does to us through his words. It’s been a battle, but I’m over a year and a half without masterbating. It hasn’t been easy, not one bit. Before Jesus, I would try stopping on my own because I always felt shame for doing it shortly after the temporary satisfactory release it gave to my flesh. But I always failed, I couldn’t last longer than a few hours, days or at most two weeks. So many times in the psalms, David asks God to show him the hidden parts of his heart, the hidden sinful attachments that are in the dark that he desired for to be brought in the light. There is so many layers to our sins and with lust specifically. Ask God to show you what doors are open in your life that need to be closed because there is so many and we don’t even know it. We are in literal spiritual chains to sin and yes Jesus sets us free but that isn’t a one time process. We are justified by believing in Jesus and then he wants to to sanctify us after. It’s a walk with him he wants to use to transform us, to make us more like him. So, give him the time and space to show you in prayer. He will guide you to the right video, person, message, revelation in his word if you ask him to. Sin separates us from being in a close relationship with our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus, which with them is the place where true long lasting, remaining fulfillment abides not anything temporary like what sexual immorality brings. If you know that, ask God to remind you of this daily and to help show you the depths of what Jesus saved you from. The temptations will come, Jesus said that would be the case, but ask him for help, cry out to him, he will answer you and rearm you with strength to persevere in this world of sin that will be no more when he returns. It’s okay, we all fall short and stumble, we’re in this together, this is the path of life, it’s very hard but it’s the best thing ever because you get to be close to the best person ever, Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Mashiah. Shalom brother!
@@emmanuelgutierrez1695thank you for sharing, you are 100% correct the battle is won through Christ and not our own strength. God help us all that struggle with this in Jesus name 🙌🏼
Don’t give up. God has a woman out there for you. Just keep a clear conscience. Would you be able to share all the thoughts you have of the women before you met your wife? If not then God wants to transform the way you think before you meet her

Be careful anyone not to let flashbacks, memories, and impressions of old things trick you into feeling guilty or condemned. A lot of times those things are outside trying to come in. If you don’t like it, that’s how you know it’s not from you. And that your heart is pure. Use it as a chance to thank God that your changed, and what he’s done in your life. Also just because you get tempted doesn’t mean you’ve sinned either... so don’t be bummed if you get tempted. Jesus was tempted but wasn’t sinful. It means the old man trying to come back, so crucify him! 🗡 and keep putting on Christ every day 👊🏼

Great message Flee away from youthful temptation, know you cannot do this by your own ,acknowledge you are weak and run away from things that make you vulnerable. Renew your mind by conversation, the song you listen, the people you surround yourself with and the Bible Read your Bible from Matthew to Revelation or even better from Genesis to Revelation And repeat until you Go to the Lord.
I like to read from both the new and Old Testament simultaneously. What I mean is I’ll read a chapter of the old then a chapter of the new. And it keeps the context taken from the old fresh in my mind which enables greater understanding of the new.
People don’t talk about this and it needs to be addressed more often. I’ve talked to other Christian in my church about this battle and I get the reaction like what is wrong with me and like if im a sexual addict because I can’t control myself. Many ppl that judge are also in a marriage and most don’t get tempted with sexual lust. Please pray for those of us that are struggling and may God be with us all. ❤
It is important that you answer God's call to *repentance* the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key-that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation. Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36). Titus 3:3-7 3 For we ourselves were also *once* foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 *But* when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy 👉 *He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,* 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, that is something you must relate to and understand that it is in the middle of a "before" and "after" in your life. I recommend you focus on understanding repentance like the Bible presents it because it's essential that you answer that call and your thoughts are in agreement with God. That's the square one and the way forward. That's the only way to receive the Holy Spirit so you can have the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life _led by the Spirit_ (Galatians 5:18). The power for self-control comes from that. It's a fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23).
Good word, glad you are discussing this. I have found though, now that I am 70 years old, that the victorious life is not primarily about avoiding evil. Rather, the victorious life is primarily focused on those things that God has put on our hearts and that we can throw our passion and energies towards. This will not eliminate, by any means, sexual temptations especially for the 20 and 30 something. Getting hold of that which God has for our lives moves us in a direction that energizes us and directs our thoughts away from temptation. The bored life is more likely to fall into temptation. Blessing.

When he said "Just read the bible through and through" It really hit me, I've been reading the book of John, and I just love reading the chapter over and over again and then looking up what I didn't get on the internet. I was never a big fan of sitting down with the bible with several colored pencils and taking notes and all this stuff, I like just sitting down, read and read over again and have a more in-depth understanding by watching a video on that chapter, reading an interpretation about it online and this kind of thing. Without overcomplicating, but by focusing on reading and doing my best to internalize that, it's really good.
I heard a minister once say, “you can go through the Bible a million times and it not change you, but if it goes through you once, it can change everything about you”. Like Paul said, we’re “living epistles”. If the word becomes part of us, it will change us in a powerful way. If we simply read through it like it’s a novel, which many scholars have done, that won’t do us much good. Not that there’s anything wrong with reading through the Bible, it’s just that’s not where we will find the power. Not if we simply scroll through it without it taking root in our heart.
Beautiful to hear. You can find this ''why'' in Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

@@TheFightersspirit There is another tip. Controversial, and Im married and haven’t actually tried it, maybe when younger wouldve been helpful. Just imo, but I think based on these verses, one can give himself permission to use the age-old technique of fighting lust by picturing her as a corpse. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And *the world passeth away, and the lust thereof* : but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Granted, if in Christ she will receive a new and perfected physical body, but will not be the same and won’t have the same carnality and won’t be used for procreation as I understand the Bible. The old body will pass away. We are image-bearers and one can, eventually even sexually in a holy way with a spouse, love the spirits of each other. Remember this life is temporary. God has already created an incredibly fine-tuned universe; so He can and will quite easily judge and save and reconstitute us at the end.

Submit to God wholeheartedly and obey Him out of love (John 14:15). As you receive God's truth into your heart and obey it, it will set you free from sin (John 8:31-36). For everything, for instance, things you may have a desire for, you want to make sure that your thinking is in agreement with God and you are not setting your hope on a lie that sounds good. That's just like you would make sure a car you are going to drive has gas in the tank. That's something you must check before you move forward in a direction. I am glad this reply was an encouragement to you, and I hope you won't shy away from looking up the Bible references and pondering on them. God bless you!
Thank you so much for this video. It made me read second timothy and I just kept reading. Amazing stuff, the word is truly alive and reading his word is so important.
The first thing to try is: think of something else for a change. What you keep in consciousness gets your attention, but you can't think of two things at once. Keep some other question to the front, and this one loses control.

The only one we can escape from sexual temptation is avoiding the sexual temptation itself by renewing our mind by the word of God reading it over and over and having an intimacy relationship with God through praying and applying the word of God in daily life
So far it hasn't even been 1 day for me. Anyone who's in the same boat and would like to journey together and get rid of this sin once and for all? Can only thank Jesus for dying for this sin for us.

Remember Apostle Paul endured a lot and didnt complain but remaining chaste was a true challenge for him. However, the Lord didnt take it all away from him so Paul would not become proud and conceited
He renews you when you’re obedient to His word & what He wants you to do - as part of your free salvation by choosing & confessing Christ. One day you’ll be tempted to do something, but stop & that will be the last time you ever do it. God bless! ♥️
This is a superb video. It reminded me of a book that I’ve read a long time ago called “Every Young Man’s Battle.” (100% recommended). Washer’s way to present the temptation’s opportunity and then the Bible’s verses to overcome is remarkable. Personally, as a male, I sometimes fall in this kind of sin but this video and my pastor’s counseling has reminded me of fleeing and not fighting.
Im battling with sexual temptation too, Im 20 years old and I'm struggling within my heart and my mind. Sometimes there's a lot of things that trigger's lusful desires 😔😭. I want to commit everything in the Lord Jesus Christ and I know his grace is enough to sustain me in times of weaknesses. Godbless Everyone!
Hello there.. Something like this needs a practical method to be free.. It's not just avout prayer alone, it's about what you do after praying.. What are the contents of the things you see? Movies..? Browsing sites? Pictures..? If this things are filthy or contains a touch of filth like immoral scenes, surely you'll be bound by the things you're trying to escape from.. Clear your phones from things like this, stay away from certain kind of movies that can stir up these things, watch what your eyes feeds on, instead spend more time reading your Bible and getting clean.. What of the places you go? Do you go to places where the people around you talk dirty things or do dirty things? Do you have dirty kind of conversations with people? Stop hanging out with those kind of people, stop being in places where you'll be tempted to listen to those kinds of conversation.. Rather, work time more around godly people that their words have been seasoned with salt. Above all.. Have a good relationship with God which comes from having to hear God daily from your Bible and people that preached the true gospel.. Be intentional about getting free.. Remember 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.
Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. That's what the attitude of your heart needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and 👉 committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Make sure you approach God in genuine repentance so you will have the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)-with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].* Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).

You can find answers to any questions you have about your sexuality in your relationship with God. He will surely point out to you anything that is possibly in the way of closeness to Him, whether that's a wrong action or behavior, or a wrong mindset. So, if you focus on building or deepening your relationship with God, then you will be able to seek and receive his precise guidance on anything. I can share this: sexual desire in itself is natural and not sinful. But there is sin when purity of heart and self-control in one's thoughts and actions are lacking (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27), for instance, in the case of having an addiction or intending to engage in any lawless behavior (remember sin begins in your heart/mind). It's up to you to know if any situation you are involved in is sinful because of such reasons or any other indication you have from God. Make sure you approach God in genuine repentance so you will have the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)-with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). ►You must submit to God. Good reminder that things like this are not formulaic. Do this/ don't do that has its place, but he is right... put on good gospel conversations, good company with other believers, good books etc. And see sin for what it is.
I agree with you that it shouldn’t be formulaic, but neither do I think the other things (such as reading good books, etc.) are to be done as a sort of self distraction from sin. Im not saying that’s how you meant it but just wanted to make a point. That may actually backfire & intensify the desire for sin if we merely seek to distract ourselves from sin with activities, surroundings & such. I’m afraid many go this route with good intentions only to find their relapse two-fold deeper in sin.
Choices and decisions are critical make no provision for the flesh. Gotta stay in the spirit because that's where the power is, walk by the spirit so you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
This was great. I am currently putting together a video on how to fight sin so this will be a great source for notes. Thank you Paul Washer and Jonny Ardavanis

Renewal of mind is not listening to hymns but only through faithful study and conversation of the scriptures! If you find yourself sitting down and regarding the ways of Yahuah Elohiym, that is a renewed mind. Shalom!
This is sooo soo good how eloquently he said this. How powerful that word is “flee” when usually as is men were like no I’m gonna stay and fight but how powerful “fleeing” that word can be. And God doesn’t use it much in the Bible but when he does it’s effective and powerful.
let Gods Holy Spirit take control and you and overcome anything I know I have many struggles but giving those struggles to God and letting Him take over and staying in His Word are key
I’m 20, I’ve been struggling with temptation for years, and it doesn’t even feel like I have a big enough desire to actually want to fight it. I get so convicted of how I should repent of this sin but then I hate making changes to those habits. Even tho your situation is bleak, God can work with faith smaller than a mustard seed, so never stop trusting God even when you don’t want to

Sexual sin is hardest temptation there is hands down if you can tap it down in your mind then the human nature plays into it so the battle is in mind and body.
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. If you realize that you are trapped and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving his forgiveness for your past sins (Romans 3:25), healing (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). You just need to approach God the way He expects you to. And your life in Christ will not be a cycle of keeping on sinning and asking for forgiveness. James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. This is always a good place to start drawing near to God: Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin. Peace to you!

It is important that you answer God's call to *repentance* the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). If you must fight temptation, you are too close to the source. As Joseph fled from sexual temptation, do so as well. Temptation fights dirty, so it's best not to get in a fight with it. Just keep it pushed away and if it comes close, run like hell or fight like hell.
Sexual urges and temptation is one of the weakest areas of my life. If someone is reading this, i would really appreciate you praying for me in this regard.
Keep in the word and prayer. It takes time. As a Christian, see the desire in yourself to be free. See the repentance in your heart. Trust in the Lord that He put that within you. You aren’t perfect but He is. He saved you knowing your struggle. When you fall, repent, but keep running on ahead with Jesus.
I was helped by James 1:14-15 King James Version (KJV) but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Also Jeremiah 17: 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Made me realise I secretly didn’t want to give it up completely. This made me disgusted with myself and I was angry with myself. I had a choice; Christ or sin. No contest. So I repented then believing the gospel was next! It was when I slipped back into having sexual thoughts and fantasies, that the passage from James 1: 14-15 came to my memory and I realised it was me that thought I could stand easily so I fell back into it, hence 1st Corinthians 10: 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall, gave me a push to take it seriously and stop being so very foolish. Getting up after backsliding was difficult and scary at the thought I might not manage to fight against it but thanks be to the power of God, I learned my lesson. I am now going to pray that The Lord helps you defeat the temptations.

@@christopherjmorrison7159 I’m not trying to have a theological debate tbh, I just believe in TULIP, and that to sin intentionally is to spit on the cross of Christ.

James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Amen

This past year I have been applying this method and it does work. The deeper I dive into the word of God, the more I find myself free from perverse thinking and desires. I still failed a few times but the guilt that followed was greater than, because I understand what I'm missing out when I go down the wrong path. Matthew 12:43-45 is also crucial in this issue because after a period of abstinence, a void formed and I didn't fill it with the Word. Had I done that, I wouldn't have stumbled and fallen into the pit deeper than before. God is faithful and He will pull you out of the pit, but you need to reach out and hold onto His hand.
Thank you, this was so helpful. God is so Good!

Amen brother. There are secular people who don’t struggle with this. They keep busy with work and hobbies. I guess they keep the mind busy and exercising. the blessing we get is that the Word of God sows it’s seed and transforms our heart. It took me six months. But I'm almost done with my first complete read through of the bible. When looked at as a whole it's an incredible read. I've decided once complete I'm just going to read it again.
Just a good idea here… get a chronological Bible and read that through once :) it will make the prophets make a lot more sense when you read about the kings etc that were on the throne at the same time 🤯🥳
Also busy reading through the whole Bible. It’s beautiful!!

Titus 3:3-7
3 For we ourselves were also *once* foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
You're not alone and God is merciful. And please know that those of us who are married still struggle with sexual temptation and sin. Hang in there.
Blessing.

Phillipians 4:7-8. Well said Paul, fill your mind with Gods word! Pray continually, and don't put yourself in a compromising position.
God is good and has had mercy. I’ve failed so many times but he always stayed by my side. I know He loves me. I know He loves you too!
The only one we can escape from sexual temptation is avoiding the sexual temptation itself by renewing our mind by the word of God reading it over and over and having an intimacy relationship with God through praying and applying the word of God in daily life
That's doesn't wipe away the Natural urge
So far it hasn't even been 1 day for me.
Anyone who's in the same boat and would like to journey together and get rid of this sin once and for all?
Can only thank Jesus for dying for this sin for us.
Hey????

Created Being: I will pray for you ! And for all who want to battle this. Remeber: desiring purity is already a virtue. Remember Apostle Paul endured a lot and didnt complain but remaining chaste was a true challenge for him. However, the Lord didnt take it all away from him so Paul would not become proud and conceited
God's Word, prayer, fellowship with others. Short and sweet and reference to God's Word. Love it!
He renews you when you’re obedient to His word & what He wants you to do - as part of your free salvation by choosing & confessing Christ. One day you’ll be tempted to do something, but stop & that will be the last time you ever do it. God bless! ♥️
This channel is such a blessing.
Fleeing and not fighting...so true
Remember
1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from every form of evil.
Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset.
You must submit to God. That is essential:
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Make sure you approach God in genuine repentance so you will have the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)-with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].*
I watched testimonies and ofc doesn't mean all are right but when you masturbate or have sex outside of marriage actually demons enjoy that with you so I just have disgusting reaction towards sexual sin a lot
I love how you shared this difficult subject which is so important for us as Christians today. Thank you

You have to change your desires. Desire God like the man who found a Pearl in the field and sold everything he had! He is the Treasure.
Thank you for posting about this. As a young woman this struggle is hard for me to talk about to anyone because it’s normalized

Thank you brother Paul:)
Thanks Paul Washer. Your sermons and advice havr always helped me.
I like the fact that He bases his answers on the Bible and that He reasons with it. Thank you for sharing, very useful and insightful 🙏🏽 God bless you
Love it!!! That's a huge issues... we seem to out ourselves in these tempting situations. I love when Paul says he fears sin.
Choices and decisions are critical make no provision for the flesh. Gotta stay in the spirit because that's where the power is, walk by the spirit so you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Thank you for this. Paul Washer is one of the greatest preacher that we have! Truly a blessing! 🙌🏻
Great fatherly advices. God bless you brother.
This was great. I am currently putting together a video on how to fight sin so this will be a great source for notes. Thank you Paul Washer and Jonny Ardavanis

Yeah let us know once the video is up.
Best way to fight sin is to intimately know Christ 🤯 loads of Scripture on this, but I’ll give you one Galatians 5:16 😊
Your mind is renewed by hearing and listening with comprehension (SHEMA) the words of Truth! Renewal of mind is not listening to hymns but only through faithful study and conversation of the scriptures! Malachi 3:16-18 you will be remembered for sitting down and fearing יהוה and thinking about his commandments! If you find yourself sitting down and regarding the ways of Yahuah Elohiym, that is a renewed mind. Shalom!
The Holy Spirit has answered my question🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you, Apostle. May the spirit of the Lord empower you to keep it up
God bless Paul Washer. Doesn’t mince words.
the bad company part is sooooooo true!
thank the Lord that this servant speaks his word for us to benefit
This is sooo soo good how eloquently he said this. How powerful that word is “flee” when usually as is men were like no I’m gonna stay and fight but how powerful “fleeing” that word can be. And God doesn’t use it much in the Bible but when he does it’s effective and powerful.
Amen hallelujah I’m steady fighting this everyday so I can continue to be well pleasing in God’s eyes 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
let Gods Holy Spirit take control and you and overcome anything
I know I have many struggles but giving those struggles to God and letting Him take over and staying in His Word are key
A lot of experts try answering this question but many can not. I feel like this is the most biblical answer I have ever heard
Great insight, and Godly wisdom heard here, from the scriptures.
The truth shall make one free!
Praying for everyone who will take heed to Pastor Paul’s words at the end “Read the Bible over and over”. We shall be renewed!
Paul washer is ever learning and never coming to knowledge of the truth
I’m 20, I’ve been struggling with temptation for years, and it doesn’t even feel like I have a big enough desire to actually want to fight it. I get so convicted of how I should repent of this sin but then I hate making changes to those habits. Even tho your situation is bleak, God can work with faith smaller than a mustard seed, so never stop trusting God even when you don’t want to
I believe that God wanted me to hear this today! Thank you for sharing your biblical thoughts on how to be better Christians

Say, O believers, “We believe in *Allah* and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to *Allah* we all submit.”
This video is really helpful to people who are fighting against sexual temptation
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
This is always a good place to start drawing near to God:
Psalm 119:11
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin.
Peace to you!
Quite an old podcast and I have to say it really summarises my own views. Thanks Alan.
If you fear God u will be set free from sin ask God to help and guide u pray and fast cut off social media links photos cut off people who lead u into sexual sin all this will be won only through prayers and fasting God will fight for you
Thank you for this fellowship and assembly of the word I appreciate it, I'm seeking God and his salvation and righteousness and his kingdom so that I can be freed from sin and walk the narrow path
You must submit to God. That is essential:

If you must fight temptation, you are too close to the source. As Joseph fled from sexual temptation, do so as well. Temptation fights dirty, so it's best not to get in a fight with it. Just keep it pushed away and if it comes close, run like hell or fight like hell.
Yes, that is the best advice
Thank you SO much for this.
Sexual urges and temptation is one of the weakest areas of my life. If someone is reading this, i would really appreciate you praying for me in this regard.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you! Greater is He who is within you than the world!!
I was helped by James 1:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
