This movie has a talent for making you laugh then making you feel like garbage for laughing, like when he gets out of the van with the family I was laughing my ass off and then when he gunned them down I was horrified.
I hope that people get why Gaspar Noé was laughing watching this. It's perfectly crafted comedy in my eyes and Matt Dillon's performance adds so much to it.
I know it is so funny that Gaspar laughing was seen as newsworthy, but this film is a dark comedy as well as a philosophical meditation. I laughed many times.
why does this remind me of when charlie from always sunny was pretending to be a lawyer, there's just something about how absurd his lies are for why he doesn't have his badge and the cadence of his voice
When I saw this movie for the first time, this entire scene made me laugh, upon my second viewing of the film the scene towards the end of the movie where he was so desperate to kill those kidnap victims...made me laugh too. It makes me wonder if I'm alright in the head.
Tbh, this was my 5th favorite film of the year, followed by #4 Ballad of Buster Scruggs, #3 Suspiria, #2 Favorite, #1 Bandersnatch.... So that says all that needs to be said, I think, because those other 4 films were 9/10 near-masterpieces. Most of the people who hate this film just didn't understand what it was going for imo, and they went to see it with false expectations. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy subversive films, I think you should check this out. This was the funniest film I've seen all year, for mostly intentional reasons. Great ultra-dark comedy that was only somewhat ruined by too much exposition/stock-footage scenes and overly pretentious monologues/metaphors.
I loved THTJB but I gave up on the Suspiria remake after a very dull, inept half hour or so....sometime after the dancer twisting herself to death scene. Did it somehow get way way way better after that ?
The only scene in this movie that I found too disgusting was the one where he killed those two kids and their mother, idk I can’t forget the way she screamed
Definitely top 5 funniest movies I've watched. I laughed throughout the whole thing. Almost every moment was awesome expect the ending. The ending is definitely not needed.
@Thawne I mean why would they carry on watching if it wasn't entertaining? It's a movie and a funny one at that... Some people are just weird and like getting upset for no reason. I want to watch it again now, thanks for reminding me of this banger Walter Jr 🙏
"That's considered classified information." made me laugh out loud first time I heard it, most people don't realise how funny this movie is.
Jimmy Meridan It's a really dark comedy imo.

Yah this movies really funny at times dark and deep great movie
@@Acheron93 same. It's a satire on the way artists assign meaning to their art
It's more of a satire than anything else i think
"I'd like to see a police badge"
"So do I"
Lmao
It's a good thing.
Matt Dillon is very underrated actor

I loved this scene. So uncomfortable, dark, and funny
Matt DIllon, terribly underrated actor. Have to admit watching him kill her was extremely disturbing, then he brings out a donut lol
How does he kill her?
i can tell by your expression, that you think it's a bad thing, that i don't have my police badge w me" dude was born for this role
Legend has it that the silversmith still shining and adding citations on Jacks badge
It even starts out hilariously with Jack attempting to just open her door.
So much of this film is a black comedy .
Ties it together so well.
The one dislike is honestly Jack being mad he had to stand out for so long.
Likielida It’s humiliating.
The redish /purple /magenta (?)colouring is so gorgeous
LVT can be really funny. This film and this scene especially is a great example.

"The silver smith is shining it up and adding a few citations to my badge"....uh what? Haahaha

@Zack Luke I always work quotes from this movie into conversations with my friends and girlfriend. They all think I'm just gone man lmao.
@@-Trauma. LMAO I do the same thing, my friends catch it but my tv never does only bc I don't wanna show her the movie yet lmao
reminds me of the scene in American Horror Story Cult when Kai tries to convince Ally to let him inside

Excellent comment! I’m glad someone else understands Lars like I do. And also Suspiria was one of my favourites too!

The only scene in this movie that I found too disgusting was the one where he killed those two kids and their mother, idk I can’t forget the way she screamed
To this day the smiling kid's frozen corpse gives me the stuff of nightmares.
"It's a good thing" lol
I saved 15% off my insurance by switching to gieco...of my neck!
Boy is her face red by the end of the movie.
This is the same behavior you will see from telecommunications. They attempt to use language to break down boundaries and get what they want.
Comfort character
Dude don’t let him in if you wanna live
Can't find the body dragging scene, anybody knows where l can find it on UA-cam.????
Ang ell look up the great rain
