Riayn saying menstrual cups are kinda gross but kinda cool is such a mood lol i'm also a menstrual cup convert. There's nothing like leaving your cup for 12 hours and not have to worry about it. I do leak sometimes, i think it depends on your flow and anatomy if you leak or not. But it only happens on my heavier day and i wear a reusable panty liner and i'm covered. And it totally is the most comfy for sleeping. Night pads are so awful!

Hands down, my favourite podcast. This is one of those universal things where we're so passionate about things and want to share it with others. I love it!
The way Riayn feels about cups I feel about Flex Discs. There was a learning curve and I wasn’t sure about it so the next month I was like “forget it I’ll just use a tampon” I used one tampon and was like “nope NEVER again tampons are the worst” and I’ve never looked back. They’re the best and I suggest them to everyone!
Also the Flex website says they can help cramps so I’m sure it’s true about cups too!

Love all the recommendations and also hard agree with the menstrual cup hype! ❤️ I've been using one for literally like 6 or 7 years and I simply cannot imagine a different period management situation. (Also for the girlies scared of leaks - reusable pads or period underwear are a great way to double up the protection and make sure you're staying sustainable ❤️)
Piggybacking off this comment, I couldn't agree more. I have HEAVY heavy periods, and I've been using a menstrual cup for the last 7 years now. Never once had a leak. Still using the first (only) cup I bought for about 30 bucks. I will never go back. It's SO much better, and I also noticed less cramping than with tampons, so it's definitely a thing. I recommend them to everyone.
Yes! I use Bambody period underwear on heavier days with my reusable menstrual discs (the cups made me feel like I had to pee often), and then I just use regular black underwear with the discs on lighter flow days. No more liners, pads, etc. Plus I sleep better not worrying about leaking or waking up from feeling leaks... Like Riayn said, life-changing! Highly recommend for that reason but also for the environment!!
Lol Jimmy John's is a sandwich place known for fast delivery. We have them here in the Midwest but I'm not sure if they have them in California.
About Black Friday: in 2019 I worked at Target, and on Thanksgiving I worked from 4pm to midnight, then came in the next day at 10am 🙃 I totally agree that Black Friday shouldn’t start til at LEAST midnight!
I literally bought the supergoop sunscreen from sierra's link tree and I don't think I'll ever go back. I have a very simple skin care routine (cerave cleanser for oily skin, some under eye gel, cerave moisturizer) and it was hard for me to buy something so expensive, but has literally changed my skin. I guess I never realized how much the sun was affected my skin. Plus all the other sunscreens I tried made me break out so bad, so I was hesitant, but I HIGHLY recommend this product. I have really oily skin with bad hormonal break outs and this just melts into my skin without causing any issues. 100/10.

I'm not usually into product videos and have been skipping past this episode for a while but OMG what a brilliant eipsode this was. It probably took me 2 hours to watch it because it gave me so much inspiration for things to try and look for so kept pausing it. But thank you so much. I remember my first Polaroid camera, it was a Barbie camera that I got from a flea market when I was maybe 9 or 10. I LOVED that thing! Also film cameras have a special place in my heart because when my grandparents passed away I found rolls and rolls of undeveloped film from us growing up and it was so crazy getting them developed and basically time traveling for hours and hours.
The Black Friday blogs and how they boosted Sierra’s channel made me think if there’s anyone here who came from those vlogs?
I remember my first video with Sierra being her size 12 pants from different stores and how differently they all fit.
About the cup, 1000% yes! Agree with Riayn! Game changer! Economically, financially, comfort, and practicality it checks every box. Girls also who aren’t able to afford feminine care would be protected since it’s a 1 in X amount of yrs purchase and all you need is water/soap to rinse it out.
Edit: Also if you need helpful instruction for the cups, Put a Cup in it is amazing for tips and tricks to find the right cup for you. Size does make a difference in this regard 😉

Totally agree on those Walmart tank tops but I always size up just one size on the no boundaries brand because they run small, I use them very often and they're comfy.

On the menstrual cup train, I swapped to a cup from tampons about 2 years ago and then swapped to a reusable disk which was a game changer (I also liked the cup) but the one I got self empties (due to the position your body is in) when you go to the bathroom and then pops back into place when you stand up. I still obviously reccommend taking it out and rinsing it every 10-12 hours but it has elminated the worry of overflow/leaking.
46 years old and normally an XL, can completely agree with the Walmart tanks!!!!! Wear them as layering pieces and I buy them in a Medium and They still aren’t super tight. Like R said, like a body suit!

Paloma - on the subject of curl creams/gel you should really give Jessicurl a shot. They are a small business in California and absolutely work! I love their Spiralicious Styling Gel, it’s a soft hold and no crunch.

This week felt hella long, missed yall!
Only girl with 3 brothers so black Friday shopping with Mom was THE thing! Sure we would go hit the sales rack almost every Sunday but black Friday was next level. We would plan our route after dinner on Thursday and have our lists in hand on Friday. As I got older we would take turns waiting in the check out line that wrapped through the store while the other searched for gifts. Now with 2 small kids I find early online shopping easiest and when they get old enough we'll do some sort of black Friday tradition.... I may have had all my Christmas shopping done before Halloween for the second year in a row🤦♀️
As a former retail worker, the absolute worst thing you can say to your cashier is anything along the lines of "I'm sorry they are making you work" because if you are in line then you are literally part of the reason why I'm working right now. Just say thank you, be patient, and kind. Best way to change when companies open on black Friday is with your wallet. Companies watch trends so if people are willing to spend money on Thanksgiving day then the store will push to open and make that buck. If there's nobody coming out to buy until midnight then the following year they'll be more willing to push back opening times.

Hey y’all! I just want to say love the podcast, I look forward to it every week! ♥️♥️♥️ And I agree with Riayn. I love my boots and any crisp in the air I pull out my comfy clothes. But just going to say that in Central California we do experience the different seasons, where Southern California, not so much.
This is especially the case for northern California. I live very far north in California and we get a decent amount of snow. I’m not sure why, but it is my pet peeve when people say California doesn’t have seasons or it’s so hot because that’s just Southern California
@@margotgrey1006 I agree. I went to school in Southern California for college and I during my freshman year I was surprise with the weather during the “colder months” of the year. Most of the time I was fine with a long sleeve while other students who born and raise in Southern California had layers. Then I would tell my friends how in Central California we had “foggy days” because of the thick fog we experience and schools were delayed because of how dangerous it was to drive or walk to school. It was surprising to me of the different climates we experience growing up ☺️

because I live in a smaller city (around 85k) and there isn't a whole lot do to our one indoor mall has managed to do well and stay pretty busy, especially during the holidays!

Just a warning for prospective parents - they are so many people's holy grail and so I bought heaps of them, but my son loathes those silicone bibs and they can be quite heavy! As with everything, try it out first before you buy heaps of them - that's my actual piece of product advice for parents.

Been using a menstrual cup since like for ever and I am obsessed. If someone wants a brand recommendation: AllMatters. It has pure silicone, no colourants or anything which means that it is perfectly safe at end of use to burn yourself
Malls are still bumpin in Canada I’m 32 not a fan of the crowds, but still sometimes like going and seeing, the bigger issues is finding things where online comes in. The shelves are empty is the issue as well.
I still use the morning burst everyday. I can't start my day without it 😅

My first time hosting thanksgiving I worked at Best Buy and I had spent the day before prepping, the day of cooking, ate at 1, had to be at Best Buy at 4-11, then back at it again the next morning to work Black Friday. It sucked honestly. I was drained. And they had me at the service desk and I was the only one there working the service desk it was nuts.

My family was very much into Black Friday but as an adult I despise Black Friday. It is SO intense and promotes so much excess of consumption. I know that is a tradition that my husband and I will not pass down to our kids.
