Psychology researcher here! Would love to see you do a personality questionnaire based on a validated model of personality- like the big 5 or dark triad. It’s definitely fun to do other questionnaires (like myyers Brigg or enneagram) but they do not have any scientific evidence behind them and don’t accurately capture your personality. P.s. personality traits are relatively stable overtime, usually from adolescence (ages 12) onwards 😊
32:00 I feel this so deeply. This is what my entire life experience has been like. I’m a larger human with an above-average voice volume (not intentionally) and I constantly feel like I am misunderstood as aggressive or argumentative when I’m truly just trying to be honest and real.
I had so much fun completing this test as I watched this podcast! Made it such an interactive experience. I also loved seeing how my answers were a bit of each of you.
You all keep speaking so softly making jokes and then laugh so loudly 😂 I keep having to turn the volume up in my car to hear the joke, and down when you laugh 😂 you crack me up.

One of my favorite things about enneagram is that it tells you what type you default to in stressful and in prosperous situations. Like I’m a type 9, and when I’m the best version of myself I default to the positive characteristics type 3, and when I’m my worst version I default to the negative characteristics of type 6. It would have been interesting for them to delve deeper into it.
I'm type 9, but only thing I don't agree with is it says I avoid conflict but I can confront people to make the peace 😂 and I do call out wrongs of my inner circle.

A strengths assessment I really like is the VIA it’s based on positive psychology and takes context into account, so it’s specifically you’re strengths in a workplace. These tests are great tools when you’re learning how to talk about yourself and what you value ❤
I did it with you guys and I got a core type 9! I am for sure the peacemaker because I grew up in a household with a lot of conflict and yelling so I learned to be quiet. I have learned a lot from you girls. love you all

I'm a 6! I was always told that enneagram tests are so so and can give you an idea of where to look, but you need to read about and decipher what type you are. So that's what I did! Read a book and literally started crying during the section about the type 6.
Loved this episode girls! I took the test alongside you all and I also got type 7 with no wing!
As a big fan of the Enneagram, this was so fun to watch along and hear their answers! I definitely think Sierra is a 4, with balanced wings (she pulls from the ambition of a 3 and the knowledge and kind of nerdiness of a 5). I could see Paloma with a 6 wing and Riayn with an 8 wing though!

I'm glad you did this! I took the test when the enneagram became big a few years ago, and I mistyped and it threw me off. It said I was 2w3. But I took this when I saw your video and typed 1 with no wing and I feel like that is totally more me!

I took the enneagram the last time Sierra did it on Sierra Unfiltered and was a 3 decided to retake it. Now a core 4. Probably a lot of change due to finally starting therapy, but also love that for me, no longer feeling the need to perform so much for others 😄
i’m wondering if setting smaller subscriber goals would make people subscribe more? like y’all have been SO close to 50k for months - i bet if you got really excited about 50k as a goal, people would help you get there super fast bc they can see how close you are and they want to be part of what helps you reach that goal soon. obviously still keep 100k as the background goal, but i feel like psychologically people will click more if the goals are closer together? idk, i’m curious what others think!

I got Type 9 - Peacemaker which checks out since I'm like Paloma and will avoid confrontation at all costs. I really appreciate Sierra asking if it was about hurting the person or the relationship because for me it's always about the relationship. Which goes back to being the peace maker and wanting consistency even to my own detriment. I burned a lot of bridges when I was younger because I said things in the heat of the moment and because of that I really try to keep my mouth shut even when I'm hurting. I like to take a couple of days to reflect before reaching out if something truly hurt me but then to what Riayn was saying it doesn't always come up again and then I don't want to bring something up because it happened so long ago. It's a vicious cycle/habit that I'm trying to break.

so interesting. In the Netherlands everything is soo much more confrontational and feedback is something you have to give and receive all the time. being honest is more valued than being polite... Not my style, but it is what is expected around here..

Just want to point out the failure is not bad - I have learned more from my failures even though they can be painful at the time you are going through them. I find the emotional intelligence test can be interesting.

The entire time Riayn was explaining her aversion to confrontation, I was over here like “ME!!!!!!” I think every point was valid, but also, Black women’s tone is policed way too much so we come across “aggressive” when we’re really not
I got a type 6-81% and no wing type. I felt some of it matched. This kind of thing stresses me out as I don’t know if I’ve got it right and thoughts of “is it accurate” and “is this how I present to the world”.

So I read a book about the enneagram cause someone recommended it to me and my husband was like oh personality tests are such garbage… anyway I get to the chapter on 8s and it is like they wrote it specifically about my husband. So I made him read it and it was so accurate to his internal lived experience he had to concede enneagram is at the very least accurate for us

I like enneagram, I've always been a two, but the tests often give me a 6 just because I have anxiety 😭😭 I don't want my type defined by that though, so I just chug along as a 2 :)

If the occult origin of the Ennegram isn't enough to deter friends, what about the incredible lack of psychological reliability and validity attached to the Enneatypes? According to an interview with Dr. Rhenn Cherry, a Biblical Counselor who wrote his PhD dissertation on the Enneagram, approximately 139 doctoral-level mental health professionals, with an average of 26 years experience, participated in a peer reviewed study in 2015 which found the Enneagram placing 2nd to last place on the first round of testing and last on the 2nd round out of 36 protocols. The Enneagram is not a valid scientific tool pertaining to Personality, even if marketed as such. The article can be found here:

I had to take the test twice, my first result wasn’t me at ALL (type 4). Took it again, got type 9 the peacemaker and it is spot on :P
