I loved this episode! But Sierra I’m dying at you saying Grace and Austin share 50% DNA 😂 an Uncle/Niece relationship shares about 25% DNA! 50% would be parent/child or full sibling relationships! (I’m a DNA person so sorry to nerd out 😂😅)

I’m a twin and I’m 5 minutes younger than my sister. One year for my bday I was very upset I had to share a bday party with my sister, so my dad’s side sang happy bday to my sister then waited 5 minutes before they sang for me. It just made me more upset seeing her get to eat cake before me, and I never complained again.

As an older sister to twins, that's one of the most twin things I've ever heard and I love it. Same thing happened at their 3rd but one cupcake was red and the other was green.

I hate to break it to you but, there is no way grace shares 50% of Austin's DNA unless
    1)Austin is graces dad or
2)Austin and grace are full siblings
Either way it raises some questions

Or sierra and him are secretly identical twins!!👯‍♂️ lol but in all seriousness I think the idea was like 50% of grace’s DNA came from sierra and thus her parents so 50% of it was the same source as his

Twin mom here 🙃 my babies are 7 months old and I now exclusively pump and supplement with formula, however I did nurse for the first few months. It’s as difficult as you suspected 😅. Tandem nursing was so special but just not super enjoyable for me as you have to try to keep both babies latched at the same time. Bottle feeding just ended up being what was best for us but I have seen twin moms nurse and enjoy the process. I’ve enjoyed your first handful of episodes and look forward to tuning in for more! Wishing you all well 🤗

My parents were SUPER young when I was born, so I’m very independent and self sufficient. Then my siblings came along and I was pretty much parent number three. When I was younger I resented it, but now I love my siblings so much. It’s amazing to watch the grow up and get to make memories together.

As a mom of triplets I concur with Sierra’s sister in laws mom. You get through it because you don’t have a choice. It gets easier. And I just pumped all my milk and bottle fed them so that I could feed them at the same time. My triplets are 20 now and sometimes I think back at how crazy it was when they were little but it was so fun!

This was a great episode, because I have an older brother and we have the best relationship. Everyone who meets us is always like you get along so well. He was my best man at the wedding, which, traditionally is supposed to be a maid of honor and a girl but I was like there is no one on this here Earth who is more important to me to fill that role. So yeah, love my brother, always have, always will, can't imagine life without him.

My younger brothers and I played “Channel Surfing” ALL THE TIME. One of us got to be the person on the couch with the remote, and the other two had to act out scenes from various TV channels when the person with the remote changed the channel (weather report, American Idol, WWE, Discovery, etc.). Great times!

omg super long comment, sorry, i just had so much fun watching this episode lol.
i am lucky to have a little brother who is my best friend. we're 3.5 years apart and have honestly always been super close. growing up we never really had a phase where we didn't get along and i definitely made him act out plays with me that i wrote and we would play school all the time, with me being the teacher. also played a lot of video games together. when i got my driver's license i would drive us both to school every morning and we burnt playlists onto a CD (lol) and blasted it every morning and sang along together. 12 years later and we still talk about those mornings and have remade the playlists on spotify. to this day he's like my favorite person in the world and we talk about pretty much everything. we are both very very like-minded with our views & politics and are in a family who are all on the opposite side of the political spectrum, so we keep each other sane and feel less alone and he makes me so proud. i've definitely always wanted a little sister too though. i just feel like it's completely different.
omg i remember so vividly seeing just the HSM trailer for the first time and instantly falling in love with troy and hating gabriella a little because she got to be with him. was definitely a bit of an awakening for me.
my best friend's bday fell on the HSM 2 release, and i remember she threw a HSM themed party and it was an absolute blast.
did any of y'all go to the high school musical concert tour??? it was my first ever concert and it changed me. i have an old photo album with shitty blurry pictures of everyone performing during the concert. i was so upset zac efron wasn't there though (i think he was filming hairspray).
omg PLEEASE do a nostalgia episode. just throwing around some things: all-that, drake & josh, life with derek, the thirteenth year, lizzie mcguire, out of the box, kim possible, sister sister, ned's declassified, zoey 101, zenon girl of the 21st centurya, the cheetah girls, stuck in the suburbs, rocket power, wild thornberries, rugrats

As a the baby of the family with two sisters over a decade older than me, Riayn's sister will definitely Cherish that moment forever. I'm 18 and my big sisters are still my best friends. I still remember them doing my make up, letting me try their coffee, or giving me their high heels so I could go on the scary rollercoasters (maybe unsafe, but fun). All those little things that made me feel like I was one of them even when they were in a totally different stage in life. Sometimes I'd get sad that we were so far apart but now that I'm older I'm really grateful. Them being so close in age definitely added tension, lots of fighting and competition, and I never had that with them.

My sister and I are 4 years apart, and I would say that we definitely didn't become close until after she moved out for college. We were kind of close when we were really small, but once she hit middle school, she just didn't want anything to do with me anymore (coming from my perspective, of course). Then I had a similar experience to Sierra where she called me one day and asked if I wanted to come spend the night in her dorm (I was a freshman in high school, so like 14?) and I was so excited! We had pretty much spent the prior 7 years barely talking to each other and now she wants to hang out again? Awesome! Now we are 30 and 26 years old and have never been closer. She loves being an aunt to my 6 year old who is her little mini-me. I really cherish this time we get to have as two adults going through life together.
And Riayn gives me hope about having kids that are farther apart. My husband and I have officially started trying for baby #2 and I worry so much about how their sibling relationship is going to be with such a big age gap. But my daughter has been begging for a brother or sister, so I hope they can grow close!

Me and my younger sister are 14 months apart as well. Both grew up as afab people. It was very hard I think for me as a kid because we shared a bedroom for 13 years, and pretty much forced to be together which made it harder for us to grow. After those 13 years one of my older sisters moved out and we both got our own bedrooms, we became so much closer. We got to grow and become our own people and now that we’ve been separated by a couple extra walls we’ve grown closer as people. I’m not in school anymore and they is in their senior year of high school so it’s fun to drive them to school, and they’ve given me so much good music to listen to and we play video games together now and it’s just so nice that we’re no longer at each other’s throats. I feel like all of my family relationships have grown, but with them and my dad are the 2 that I feel closest to.

I have two older sisters. One is 6 years older than me and the other is a year and a half older. The one closer in age has autism, which meant my parents spent a lot of time focusing on her and making sure she was okay, because of this, I've always felt like the middle child. The oldest has the oldest mentality; she would always boss us around and we listened. The middle acts more like the youngest; she was always the peacemaker but was also the one who got the most attention from our parents (again, not intentional, simply because she needed it the most). I was the "different one". I also unintentionally distinguished myself from my siblings. While they were social, I was antisocial, while they didn't enjoy school, I loved it, etc.

I know I’m late to the party, but twin mama here! I had an in medicated home birth with my boy/girl twins, so yes, it can be done! I’m so happy with my decision to do that, though I totally get why someone would want to go the medicated hospital route! My kiddos are two and a half hours apart! I tried doing the tandem breastfeeding thing and I wanted to love it, but it was a lot of work trying to keep them both latched at the same time. So now I exclusively pump for them and nurse for comfort here and there. They are my first kids, so it’s definitely a lot. My husband and I just take it one day at a time. I’m only 18 months older than my brother so we grew up super close, and then when he became a teenager he also started to pull away and stop interacting with me in a nice way, he was rude and mean and it wasn’t until I moved out at 19 that he started to come back. We had just started to become close friends again, and unfortunately he passed away in 2020 at age 22 so I never got to watch him really grow back into my buddy. I know he was on that path but it’s hard knowing what I’m missing out on. Also becoming an “only child” in your 20s is DIFFICULT. The shift in dynamic between my parents and I was shocking.

Me and my brother are seven years apart. My parents took me to the ultrasound on the day we were supposed to find out the babys gender. I remember sitting beside my mom and praying so hard that it’s going to be a girl and when the doctor said it was a boy i kid you not, stormed out of the office and started screaming “I don’t wanna play with cars and trucks. I want a sister so we can play together” 😅. And what do you know when he was three years old we would play together. I put my barbie dolls in his car toys and he was the driver. So it worked out much better than i thought 😂. Even today we love playing video games together. I love him so much.❤️

I honestly can't relate to any sibling dynamic mentioned here! My brother was so jealous when I was born (he was 2), and disliked me from that moment forward. He eventually had to move in with my dad because he couldn't stand me 😅 it doesn't help that I was undiagnosed autistic, so I probably seemed alien to him, but I've never understood how siblings can actually get along. We fought every day, had to go to different schools, and still to this day, we barely talk, and we're in our 30's.

By the time I was starting school and learning how to have conversations with people they did not care about me at all so I never really had a relationship with them. Maybe it’s teenage years but it often feels like I’m “parenting” them. Thankfully, i think they feel more comfortable coming to me and talking to me rather than my mom which is perfectly fine with me. I’d rather them hear certain things from me rather than their friends at school.

I'm so jealous of your sibling stories 😩 I'm not close to either of my brothers. I used to be with my middle brother cause he's 14months older but he moved in with dad after the divorce when I was 13 and I stayed with mom. My oldest bro is 6 years older and he used to practice wrestling moves using me. Being body slammed on your head with just a couch cushion to soften the blow still hurts. He also broke a door trying to beat me up cause I borrowed a DVD without asking. I legit could go on and on with the mean things they did.

You guys talking about how you’ve forgiven parents for not being perfect, is really making me think.. my dad was in his early 30’s. And he was so controlling and BEYOND a helicopter parent.
I’ve explained to him how poorly he handled my teen behaviors, but he always says that he just did the best he knew how… but his best was being verbally abusive, controlling everything I did, and kicking me out when I was 16.
Idk, I just feel like he had so many resources to be a good parent, but he was just too stubborn to get me the help I needed. I want to forgive and move on though! It’s just so hard when you’re untangling all of your trauma as an adult, and you think back on how you would’ve handled things differently..
Anyways, I’m just word vomiting! I really enjoyed listening to your conversations today!

I just want to say, I really relate to this. My parents were both in their mid-to-late 30s when they had me, and I have two younger siblings, the youngest being almost 5 years younger. I have had to go no-contact with both my parents, one when i went to college and one when i graduated college. It's so hard for me to even make any arguments to try to be "understanding" of their treatment because they weren't young or immature - they had watched all their friends have kids of their own and had been adults for 15-20 years at that point.
I'm glad to see that someone else totally has a different experience than what was discussed in the episode - it seems like Sierra, Riyan, and Paloma all have good relationships with their parents/siblings, and that was definitely not the case growing up for me. I'm a lot closer with my siblings now, particularly the youngest, but it's hard to have a healthy relationship as a kid with your siblings when your parents are so dysfunctional.

My sisters and my dynamic is actually different. I’d say I’m the leader (youngest), my oldest sister is the wild one/attention seeker, and my middle sister is the peace maker

6:50 my sister and I are 5 years apart. The age difference seemed even larger because she went off to college at 16. When she went off to college we got closer but it was more as a 2nd mom figure. She always looked at me as her baby sister. We became more like best sisters when we became pregnant at the same time. Now we have soooo much in common. I'm glad my sister became my best friend

I have 7 siblings, one older step sister, and then 6 younger siblings. The age differences between us are 9 months (older step sister), and then 12 months for my brother, 4 years for my sister, 13 years for my brother, 15 years for the next brother, and then 18 years for the last brother.
The relationship I have with each of the is so different. There's almost like a group of 4, then the 3 "littles" as we call them (even tho the youngest is 6 now lol). The younger three display their own oldest-middle-younger, because most of us were grown and for most of their lives.

I feel right now with an 8 and 9 year age difference with my 2 sisters I’m struggling connecting them being in middle school and high school in a very different time then me. I hope as they continue to grow I can connect more with them.

I'm a twin (my twin is 12 minutes older) we are also the babies of the family. I find I more identify with "older sibiling" characteristics. I also have twin boys! Breastfeeding was such a struggle, they wouldn't nurse since they were born early and not strong enough to suck enough. I ended up pumping for a month before it was just too hard mentally and physically and switched to formula! And honestly just too much time wise! Having two babies that eat every three hours, but they both take an hour each to eat because they are so tired and than still having to pump... You need to be very organized and good at multi tasking to get everything done in a day! The first few months were very rough

My mom's a twin, and my grandma said she couldn't breast feed both of them because she didn't give enough milk. So they were bottled fed, and when she told me about when they could eat baby food, she said she couldn't stop giving either of them food because they'd get jealous of the other baby lol

I'm someone who has 4 siblings and the age gaps are weird. In order it's: my sister (21) me (19) my brother (16) my sister (9) and my last brother (4). Yes, they are all from the same parents (my mom is amazing). My relationship with my older brother and sister is more bickering and we all can relate to each other more because we are legit in a completely different generation than my other brother and sister. We all kind of parent our younger two siblings and it's neat.
The interesting thing is that I am living at home for college and I share a room with a 9 year old and I am basically a mom to both of my youngest siblings. My brother who is 4 has some disabilities and made me want to major is special education. So my sibling dynamics are all over the place, but it's a fun time and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am an only child but my mom started dating someone that had three kids of his own. An older brother and two sisters around my age. I was in grade 3 when my mom and I moved in with them. So we went from a household of 2 to a household of 6. It was crazy. I definitely felt like betrayed almost. I went from having my own things and space to sharing my life with two other girls and an older boy. I grew up with them until I moved out at 16. My mom and him split up so I am back to an only child, well adult haha 😂

I was supposed to have a scheduled c section at 37 weeks however due to severe preeclampsia turning into HELLP syndrome. I had to deliver at 34 weeks and 2 days and I did have a vaginal birth!!! Baby girl was 5lbs and baby boy was 5 lbs 6 oz :)

The siblings topic is a hard one for me to think about at this time. My only sister died in January and I miss her so much. We were so so close growing up she was 2 years older than me. Sadly She made some bad choices the last year or so and we weren’t as close anymore. She was in sketchy situations and i wanted her to get her life together. The day she died she had went to the dr got back on her psych meds to try and feel better. but it didn’t mix well with the drugs in her system and she died. She loves purple butterflies so whenever I see these I think of her and I hope she thinks of me too. 💜

Edit: I married a twin and my husband is the older twin. It definitely shows personality wise that he's the older twin when you interact with both twins but they are the babies and have a lot of the peace keeping traits too.

I feel like I have a completely different dynamic than all of you. I am the youngest, only girl, and have two older brothers. There is a nine year age gap between my oldest brother and me at a four year age gap between my middle brother and me. I feel like growing up, my brother hated me. Especially my middle brother. I was supposed to have been born on his birthday, and he was not happy. I ended up being born the following day, and our parents had joint birthday parties for many years. with a nine year age gap between my oldest brother and I, he was just a teenager when I was starting to remember things so he was not around much. The first really big memory I have with my middle brother, but him showing me love, was after we had to evacuate our school due to a school fire. The middle school was on fire, and that was where I was at, and he was in the adjoining high school. I remember I was arguing with the secretary of the school as they kept saying our parents needed to get us or we needed to ride the bus. I literally lived right across from the school and could walk home. But they would not listen to me. My brother came over to the secretary and said, “I am here to take my little sister home “. He could have easily walked home with his friends and I would’ve been stuck there. as adults, we have such a different dynamic now and my oldest brother and I are the ones that talk the most, although when we are all together all three of us laugh like crazy. I am in my 40s, and my oldest brother has just turned 50, and sometimes it is like we were never the feuding siblings. living through the death of both parents, has been one of the hardest things we’ve all had to deal with, and we’ve all dealt with it at our own pace at our own time, but there’s definitely love and we definitely group together when things like that happen.

That psychological sibling order thing does not AT ALL apply to me and my siblings lol. My youngest brother is the wild one, my younger brother isn't really pulled between me and my youngest brother he's closer to me. The only accurate thing is that I'm the "leader," but even that is kinda faulty because I have an older brother who is 6 years older than me, but my dad jokes that he has an only child and 3 kids
