    Good interview Mark! He seems like a very nice man. Hopefully he will have a good life in the Philippines. Also, hope that his ex doesn't take half of his pension.

    Hey Steve. We met at Ground Zero in July of this year. Great interview Mark and I remember Steve was such a nice guy. Thanks for sharing. Regards Adrian!

    Hi Mark, Steve's a nice guy, very sensible and thinks about it before he answers and then his answer is very considered and logical. I like to think i am the same, after several years in the NZ Military and NZ Govt Ministry of Transport as a Highway Cop. I met my Filipina in NZ after my marriage broke down 27 years ago. We have a home at Sogod Cebu and i have no regrets being together with my Filipina wife whom i adore. We are currently in NZ and will be back permanently to the Philippines in the foreseeable future. Can't wait. Would love to meet Steve and you Mark one day. Bob. Veteran.

    PI seems to be the place to go when men finally give up and say F it. Can’t blame them, watching the US deteriorating is a hard thing.

      I’m guessing he’s gonna
      Lose half his pension to
      His ex? No wonder he
      Moved to the Philippines

    Great video Mark, not unlike all your videos. Great questioning. Wishing you all the best, God Bless. I hope Steve does not get taken to the cleaners, this seems to be the norm. Hopefully, one day soon I will be retired. I have been to the Philippines 6 times and I am married to a Filipina, I am not sure if we will retire to PH or not, but it is on the table.
    I Thank you, Steve, for your service, it can not be easy to be on the job for 29 years.

    I think the Americans that retired in the Philippines adapt the friendliness of the Filipinos cuz I lived here in the US for a long time and I’m telling you it’s not a friendly country, when you say hi here you’re lucky if they say hi back to you!

    • @bigmike6853
      @bigmike6853 Рік тому +2

      I agree it's not real friendly in the US nowadays. Most people just ignore you and if you say hi to them they look at you like you're crazy or something lol

    Rod, 'Amazing Philippines', and i are very close friends Mark and have been for several years. Curiously enough during my residency at Cebu (7 years) my closest friends were and still are generally American mostly Veterans. We are very close because we identify with each other and have the same values. Bob.

    Most who retire in the Philippines were veterans specially those who were in the Navy and air force cause they were stationed in Subic or Clark Air Base.

    Ugh. I hope that he had a solid prenup to protect his public employee pension... Although I wonder if maybe an alimony award in the USA is unenforceable out of country?

    I think the driving problems in the Philippines is due to those Philippine drivers didn't have proper traffic driving training like we have in the US. That should be change now that lots of foreigners are living there. They should learn traffic regulations and it's time to have traffic lights on busy streets, for everybody's well being.

    Aren't you fortunate that you have retired because of what's going on in the US today about Law Enforcement? There is one town here where all of the Police Officers left and quit the department.
