Watching at work. Best Damm life advice I've heard. Thanks Mark. Made my decision based on 3 years of watching you OGs. At the moment it would be better for me to stay here, or go somewhere a little more fast paced. . Thank you sir.
This was all great advice. I was in the Navy for 20 years. I've seen how "certain" Americans can act very badly in other countries. I went into the Navy to travel and experience other cultures. But many around me had no tolerance for other cultures. This also had nothing to do with their political affiliations, but I will say that it would be far more likely for a Democrat from Cali or New York, for instance, to be this way, than some Conservative from Texas. But it wasn't a 100% thing. For instance, we were in the U.A.E., and the bust driver stopped in the middle of nowhere, grabbed a rug beside his seat, got out of the bus, walked 50 feet from the bus, put the rug down, and started praying. A few of the guys on the bus flipped their wig. Some didn't but still weren't happy. Me? I loved it. That is exactly why I joined the Navy to travel. I wanted to experience things like this. Plus, what was the big deal? He only prayed for a few minutes. We all survived this "horrible" incident. LOL I still remember the guy from New York who was sitting beside me. I knew him. He was exactly the type you said shouldn't go to the Philippines. He was quick to anger. He used being gruff, demanding, and loud, to get his way. I agree...he shouldn't move to the Philippines. As to the things like the roast being ground in an unsanitary manner, I see things like that as just something that has to be navigated. I personally would buy my own hand crank grinder. My mother used to grind our hamburger in this manner. Mostly because we don't eat pork due to being SDA. She was always afraid that they would throw scraps of other meat in the hamburger. No soap in the "comfort rooms" could be managed by simply keeping a small bottle of soap on you, when out and about. Just a little travel size bottle.
I have been to Philippines and Thailand I would agree with your analysis. Living in the West gives me comfort and conveniences. When I want to retire I will live come over during winter but will always keep my home in the West.
Great video. I agree with everything you say. I spent 7 months there and the islands within the 2 or 3 hour ferry rides and found its the place for me. It's like getting to start life all over again in your retirement years kind of feels like the fountain of youth. I am coming back soon long term this time.
As problems mount in the West, and that along with good men finding it increasingly difficult to find a suitable mate...the Philippines beckons. With it's beautiful and feminine women, and more traditional culture, it's allure is obvious. It reminds many of us what life was like in our own countries perhaps 40, 50 years ago. But with that being said, the Philippines will not meet the needs of everyone. And not everyone is suited to life in the Philippines. I feel you did a valuable service by pointing this out. Just so many guys out there desperate to find peace, fulfillment, and meaning in their lives. Romance too. But if circumstances..like the ones you so succinctly laid out...preclude a successful move, you may be moving from the frying pan to the fire. Not a good place to be. Especially for an older guy. Many thanks for your honesty here Mark. This video may have been a downer for some guys. But it's something that needed to be said.
I would counter your argument about foods. Don’t paint all the Philippines with this broad bush. I’m in Subic Bay and I can find almost everything I can find in the US along with many more fruits and vegetables than in the US. Dumagette is not the entire Philippines, it is only one small microcosm. Instead encourage your viewers to find their place in the Philippines. You stated no help for handicapped. Have you ever been to BGC? Last I looked BGC is in the Philippines. Maybe not what you want but that’s one of the most appealing things in the Philippines on a relatively small country of over seven thousand islands there are lots of places to pick from. My best advice try it if you don’t like it you can always return home as long as you don’t burn bridges behind your self. I tried few places before I settled on Subic, but that was my selection.
My advice is to let everything go and I mean everything. All habits and preconceived notions about how things should be. I have a wife and home in the Philippines. The first thing I did was let it go. I said this is a new place with all new ways of doing things. I had to relearn everything to make it work. In other words, success in the Philippines is a state of mind.
Mark has been spot on with his videos from day one. He isnt selling a fake pipe dream. He brings respectability to an otherwise bad group of youtubers selling sex, and people living vicariously through their channels. Mark is the real deal.
Today here in Bangkok I was walking from a nice shopping mall back to my condo just steps away. I just had a nice meal and a one hour foot massage for about $18.00 USD total. I was appreciating my retired life here. When I got outside, it was raining. The marble-ish walk in front of the mall was slippery from the rain. There was a grate missing over a drainage troff where you could easily hurt yourself if you weren't looking for hazards. A motor bike whooshed by driving on the sidewalk. I was thinking there are things in Bangkok that people from the US would find a little crazy. Then my next thought was, at least it's better than the Philippines:)
Mark - as usual, a very informative vlog. Following along with your germaphobe comment, (which I am) is insects, lizards, spiders mosquitoes, mice, etc. We rent a fairly nice house in Iloilo - but no matter what I do, I can never keep it clean enough or free from insects and the occasional rodent. I've gotten somewhat used to it after being here for 1-year, but sometimes it really bothers me. But I have found that the good things here outweigh the bad, so...
Great topic Mark. There are so many vloggers today promoting so many Asian Countries. I love S/E Asia but it’s not for everyone. Definitely go to a Country you want to retire in for a holiday first. Thanks for sharing!
I see it twice in Dumaguete a foreigner shouted at his girlfriend in the restaurant and a foreigner shouted at a Filipino worker in the Robinson store. once you get that reputation in the Philippines, they will try to get you out of the country somehow.
I agree with about how you tell people to think before moving away to live in another country. For people that never been in Asia, why not come and visit 2 or 3 months minimum so you can later decide and be ready to move. NEW HAT TODAY ?
It always blows my mind when these guys skate on their kids and leave them to be 8000 miles away,,and act like it no big deal..Point #1 you were spot on..
Great content and "Words of Wisdom" Mark. I am coming to the Philippines for good in the next few months and ALL these things you mention must be considered carefully in your decision process. The biggest thing I had to weigh IS my relationship with my adult children. We don't see each other unless I am flying up to see them but we do talk or chat every week. I wanted to make sure they were involved in my decision to move overseas so I had conversations with each of them and they all supported my decision as they know I have been lonely the last 5 years and want something better. My grown children are adults and married with families of their own and I am so proud of them but man, it's still hard and you must consider your family as you make your plans to move out of the country. Finally I would say, when moving out of the country, make sure you are running TO something vs AWAY from something in your home country.
Thank you for watching ☺️ I really enjoyed reading your insightful comment. Please look me up wgwn you come to the Philippines. I would like to meet you. Best of luck
I'm afraid we are all running away from something in our western country and culture. I am so glad I did! I discovered much better things than I ran away from. I believe I was destined not to live in the USA. So far I have received more than my expectations.
Love Your comments. I was in the us navy. Luzon. Married a local. We were in bed in her apartment. A rat fell between us, crawled over her chest, jumped off the bed. She said nothing, neither did I. We have rats on navy piers, that’s why we use rat cones on our lines (ropes), to secure the ship in port. Cobras worried me, not rats. Thanks Mark. Your advice is priceless. We live in Virginia now, I love this state!
Thanks for reiterating this, Mark. As you say, this country is not for everybody. Sometimes, other vloggers are giving us too much credit, then some foreigners who may have visited here would use the comment section to express their complaints and end up talking nasty about the country. They seem to forget that the PH is still a third world nation, and that's the reality. If you can't adapt, better not come.
That was real. So many tubers only spotlight the romantic side of living in an exotic country. The don't tell you the realities of a growing nation. People make decisions based on other people's dreams and successes and ignore the grittier side of what can be there. Thanks for attempting to help some people manage their expectations. There are many moving here and other parts of SEAsia under the influence on BS.
Generally speaking is it better to meet someone on internet before you get there or move there and find someone while your there.. And can you make a go of it splitting your time between America and Philippines. I'm considering doing that
When it comes to food you can confront the person in a way that will not lead into fight it is but natural to make complain for the food cleanliness not all people are the same when it comes to cleanliness even to other counrtry restaurant here are so open when they think the customer are not happy nor satisfied just be respectful in complaning bec otherpeople might think that it is our usual ways of preparing food that not goes to everybody and other restaurant.
Good advice. I too have been here for a long time. I will add one more caveat. Absolutely do NOT come here if you plan to use any kind of recreational drugs. Just don't. Do not expect doctors to easily prescribe pain medication. Opioids are VERY difficult to get from doctors. Marijuana is not authorized for medical use here. It is not sold in government stores and it is NOT decriminalized. It is a crime. Period.
yep I have just returned from checking the place out. I felt the place was overrated and a bit boring and had to travel around to keep myself entertained. I think your blogs show only part of the picture needed to get views. Thanks for the honesty.
That was pretty in-depth, thanks for your advice, it’s definitely a lot to take into consideration. As far as the germs I was curious if the vinegar dipping sauce they use on practically everything has something to do with killing bacteria or germs? Filipinos definitely seem to have cast iron stomachs the way they leave their food sitting out for long periods of time unrefrigerated and what not.
They’ll eat for the pleasure of eating with upset stomachs, risking upset stomachs, gout etc when it comes to enjoyment they keep going. I’m kosher which is a health advantage here. Only eat meat once a week. I rarely drink or eat sweets. It creates social problems as health discipline is seen as American snobbery.
Filipinos definitely have a stronger immune system than most Westerners. I left the Philippines when I was 19, and every time I visit, I have to make sure that the food I eat was prepared according to American standards and I check every time if I am drinking filtered water and ice, otherwise I will be in the bathroom in pain.
As long as you cook your own food there is no guarantee how clean is the preparation including vegetables. Years ago a famous Fried Chicken fast food in America employees have been fired for bathing in deep sink used to wash dishes. Can you imagine if they have open wounds or disease.😢
Intermittent explosive personality disorder is not acceptable anywhere. However, the consequences are different depending upon the country. America is becoming increasingly unhealthy for me in every possible way. Per capita narcissistic personality disorder is out of control in America, and I'm not sure why. Good video, and I hope to meet you sometime next year. Stay healthy and enjoy your time there.
Great advice, Mark! I think the problem is a lot of vloggers promote the Philippines as a paradise, and viewers get jaded by those descriptions and they think they'll be in heaven when they get there. It's best to visit the country first and decide if you can live there permanently. There are so many beautiful places and great people in the Philippines, but the truth is the standard of living is not the same as in the West. You have to ask yourself: Is that something I can live with? I personally cannot live there for good, but will be vacationing 3 months of the year.
Ouch, I have a brand new Ford Mustang Mach E (EV). It's very quick and can go 277 miles on a single charge. I am sure the Philippines lacks superchargers (what you need to charge when commuting long distances outside its range) but most of my charging is done at home using a Level II (220 volt) charger. If you don't need to go near its full range you don't need to charge it that often (just like you don't have to top off a ICE car with gas everyday), so I am thinking it would be fine in the Philippines. Also, if the power is out the gas pumps dont work either... just something to think about. Most don't understand how EVs are used in day to day life and I have to admit, fueling my vehicle at home while I sleep is alot better than dealing with a busy nasty gas station...
Last time I was in the Philippines , the hotel I was staying in I was bitten by a rat on my hand, it was a pretty deep bite, it was bleeding pretty good.
Don't move..... anywhere, if any of the things mentioned apply to you. Good advice, but not very specific for the Philippines. It's always difficult for me to imagine that people decide to live abroad and not think about all this before....
Don’t watch as much as used to now that I live here, but watched this one caught my attention while pedaling bike at gym. Might be a non-confrontational society Mark, but there’s plenty of passive aggressive behavior Ive observed Some places and what I’d consider hyper aggressive driving by quite a few locals on roads around Dumaguete…you know, the ones in 4 wheel vehicles who run you off the road or pass on right when no room to do so and damn near cause a wreck forcing way in to again, get one car ahead. That’s really my only “trigger” here, which I keep it Inside the car. Even moly wife who drove in Japan and IS for 6 yrs gets pissed off. Still overall I’m happy here so far, knowing that no place is perfect whether I’m here or back in Pacific NW.
I'm living on a small farm in North Eastern Thailand. Extreme isolation. Rice and noodles every day. Be careful what you ask for cuz you just might get it. 🤣 lol
When it comes to food unfortunately the Philippines is the poor man of Asia. I’ve had some good Lechon….in Australia but not in PH. The main problem is the meat is generally poor quality. Also the further you travel from Manila the worse the quality gets. Also food is relatively expensive even for fruit and vegetables.
Hey... are you still with the same girl? How's it going? It's been awhile since I've watched some of your videos... I was wondering how her Dad's house came out. You were helping them with cement in the master bedroom. How did that project come out? Hope you're doing well. I have a girl over there... hoping to get my act together enough to come there to spend some time with her, and see what happens. Peace... Tim
Hi Tim. Thank you for asking. The house is finished: new roof floor walls and a new bedroom. Yes Jen and I are happily married and expecting our 1st child in March.
I would laugh if a rat came through the ceiling when I'm there. I'm gonna miss a good steak, but I've had plenty of bad ones here in Louisville. I really enjoy your content. Always tell it like it is, no BS, no fillers for views. I've done so much research on what the locals eat. I really can't wait to try it.
find your videos very informative. been watching for years.I am a 73 Yr od "gay" Man w a family in Northeastern USA, how is it like to live there as a gay man?
Would you say this for guys married to a Filipina who have only had children with her? I believe you mean divorced guys with kids. I think about this a lot because our kids will be mostly grown before we would possibly do this. So I'd like them to have frequent exposure to the Philippines prior to then.
Now, Mark, you said "if you`re a picky eater; don`t come over here." Just wondering if that includes vegetarian/vegan. I`ve been there a number of times MANY years ago, but I ate everything that crossed my path back then. Now I eat strict vegan. Anyway, as always, thanks for the vids.
Veggies in the Philippines are tropical, but your common carrots, green beans and potatoes are all over. If you want broccoli, cauliflower and strawberries, those are grown in the North - and are available year round in Baguio City and surrounding areas like Benguet.
I’m a picky eater. I buy and cook things I like and taste good to me. I don’t eat a lot of Filipino or Thai food. I’ve been living here full time for years now. IMO you can be as picky as you want.
MARK TEMPER WORDS MARK IS NOT GOOD TO PERSON WHO HAVE TEMPER BEHAVIOR DIS ORDER❤❤ TEMPER LEAVE IT WERE YOU GO IN GLOBE AROUND TEMPER CUASE TRUOBLE OR VOILENT BY LAWS SO SO KEEP IT IN YOUR BOX DONT BRING IT❤
I do not know but I would think there is a cobbler in the big cities in the Philippines.. I know I used to get cowboy boots custom-made in Texas.. I would think you could get a shoe custom-made to your foot in the Philippines? I know I am planning on getting some custom pants and shirts made from a tailor after I arrive in the Philippines. I will ask the tailor about the shoes and see what he says😮😊😊
@@richardhowe5583 I'm not a cowboy boot kinda guy. Lol. I live in Vietnam. Usually they don't stock over size 10US in Southeast Asia. I can only find my size regularly in Kuala Lumpur. There are a few places in Vietnam and the Philippines where you can find a pair or two of big shoes, but they are usually very ugly shoes.
Nice and honest.... Not gunna lie, you definitely got me on the hygiene stuff... I am by NO means a germaphobe.... BUT I don't think I could handle my meat being dropped on a nasty floor and then picked up and put back on the cutting board!!! I'd turn into a vegetarian real quick 🤣🤣
You know, BCG is very accessible for wheelchair individuals right? Even iT park cebu. Tell the whole truth not half truths. Other than that pretty good advice good job.
@@everymanhasastory I don't agree. In Cebu it was less, but in many places it was complete lockdowns for Seniors. Some could not renew their visas and were fined over 100,000 P.
If you want good food and 5 star service don't live in the province in the Philippines. Live in Makati . They have everything there. It's just expensive.
I have a mentally retarded brother. That I've been seeing after but I have him in a facility. Can I bring him to the Philippines if I come to the Philippines
Hi Mark, Japan is like that too. This is another country where losing your temper is really frowned at. It really makes foreigners look bad, when they start yelling at a waitress, or whoever. Really, a show of low intelligence. Police in big cities don't take shit off of foreigners.
@@everymanhasastory Oh really? Not in your ship cruises? Seems like Tokyo or some of the other cities would be popular destinations. I have never been to PI, but would like to visit in the future. Hope everything is okay after the scooter accident.
i lived in japan for 4 years and am now in my 15th year in south korea + spend 4 months a year in the Philippines .. your comment applies to ALL asian cultures .. being a blatant assh**e is NOT cool
Japan though is a way more incredible place to live and one of the most functional places I’ve ever lived and visited. Met my Asawa there in 2007 and we’ve both said that if we spoke Japanese, we probably would’ve retired there and visited family here. I never had what I’d call a bad day or frustration about anything there when living there.
About the food and germs was spot on. Most restaurants there seen to always have a shortage of napkins and and some don't even have a bathroom to wash your hands. Of course this doesn't seem to bother the Filipinos because a lot of them eat the food using their unwashed hands. If that bothers you my advice is think twice before moving there...
"People in the Philippines are non-confrontational." Sadly, the worst people will think this makes it easier for them to get their way. But, that's a good way to end up being a statistic. While people can be non-confrontational, it doesn't mean they will suffer constant abuse. Get a reputation as an abuser, you just might end up dead in a ditch. Always remember that you are the foreigner. Conduct yourself as you would if you were visiting somebody else's house.
Non confrontational? The Filipinos I’ve met have zero problems confronting others. Maybe there are provinces that are different than this one. Bottom line… they cannot be lumped into one statement. If that statement was true then the “all white people are rich” statement is true. AmIRight?
Mr Georgenestler what part of the Philippines did you happened to visit? I Live in .Metro Manila and theres no such thing as no comfort room to wash your hands in the restaurants, and seldom no table napkins. You might have visited a remote province where aminities are lacking. And another think most Pilipinos dont eat with their unwashed hands only some in the remote areas and workers in the farms do that for that is their culture. But it is wrong to generalized things. We are a civized people, educated, and conscious of hygiene. Come to the big cities and eat your words!
I've been to Manila and BGC you're right. But here even in the mall no toilet paper and often no soap in cr. However my experience has been that Filipinos are very clean people. They find ways to keep themselves clean
Mark unhealthy family unhealthy cummunity unhealthy food unhealthy life style luck enuogh of sleep burden most of all STRESS it cause death everybody is unhealthy heart attack no good hospotal health care is bad

Wait until you get here.
Well said. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Period.
Excellent Advice! Thank you. I should have thought of this myself.
Yep… want marijuana? Go to Thailand. Beautiful country. Modern electric infrastructure. Better banking.
yep I have just returned from checking the place out. I felt the place was overrated and a bit boring and had to travel around to keep myself entertained. I think your blogs show only part of the picture needed to get views. Thanks for the honesty.
Thank you for watching. And I agree with you the Philippines isn't for everyone.
Very good advise ,i agree with you
Nailed it again. Great advice
Glad you think so!
Good advice Mark, you forgot to mention the high curbs, haha. Easy to trip
Excellent video, Mark!
How are Thai, Japanese, and Italian restaurants in PH? Anything like the western version?
There are a few good ones
As long as you cook your own food there is no guarantee how clean is the preparation including vegetables. Years ago a famous Fried Chicken fast food in America employees have been fired for bathing in deep sink used to wash dishes. Can you imagine if they have open wounds or disease.😢
Good video and good info
Intermittent explosive personality disorder is not acceptable anywhere. However, the consequences are different depending upon the country.
America is becoming increasingly unhealthy for me in every possible way. Per capita narcissistic personality disorder is out of control in America, and I'm not sure why.
Good video, and I hope to meet you sometime next year.
Stay healthy and enjoy your time there.
Thank you for watching ☺️ I would enjoy meeting you 😊
social media is why
Bravo. well stated. Too many come here expecting the land of milk and honey according to their culture or way of living, and are miserable.
I agree with this video. Great job.
Thank you for watching ☺️
If this question has not been answered, do you know if any portion of Medicare can be carried with you being a resident in a foreign country?
I don't think so. However I heard Humana had a supplemental plan that covers you in the Philippines
Excellent advice. Thank you for watching ☺️
Mark, you nailed it again !
Its not easy day to day and when you get older it will be more difficult
Last time I was in the Philippines , the hotel I was staying in I was bitten by a rat on my hand, it was a pretty deep bite, it was bleeding pretty good.
did you get rabies shots? how did the hotel compensate you for that horrible incident??
@@paulthurson , No I didn't get a rabies shot , I thought I was going to die, luckily nothing happened to me, the hotel upgraded my room. Lol.
@Rocket9944
very glad you didn't get rabies .. was it a cheap hotel?
So true. The older I get, the more I wonder if I will be happy living in the Phil. I loved it in my 30's. Plan to retire there.
Thanks again Mark for another great video.... Side note I didn't make the list 😁
Mark... well done.... well. Done.... nailed it 😄
Thank you!
Great video, you give very sound advice.
Excellent video! Another caution: Noise pollution. Roosters. Barking dogs. Scooters with no mufflers. Karaoke.
Don't forget Filipina.
Good advise
Great advice! Spot on
Basically don't bring your California bullshit. 😂 Good video. I think I check all the boxes.
@@Mjolnher9 Me too. I was born here and it's beautiful. Some of the people and the cost of living have ruined it.
Great sound advice!
Don't move..... anywhere, if any of the things mentioned apply to you. Good advice, but not very specific for the Philippines. It's always difficult for me to imagine that people decide to live abroad and not think about all this before....
Always consider the consequences before making choices. No matter how small. The consequences are huge. And most people don't consider.
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to share your experiences.
I'm living on a small farm in North Eastern Thailand. Extreme isolation. Rice and noodles every day.
Be careful what you ask for cuz you just might get it. 🤣 lol
So true
When it comes to food unfortunately the Philippines is the poor man of Asia. I’ve had some good Lechon….in Australia but not in PH. The main problem is the meat is generally poor quality. Also the further you travel from Manila the worse the quality gets. Also food is relatively expensive even for fruit and vegetables.
Many blessings and congratulations to you both. Enjoy your new journey into parenthood!
Hey... are you still with the same girl? How's it going? It's been awhile since I've watched some of your videos... I was wondering how her Dad's house came out. You were helping them with cement in the master bedroom. How did that project come out? Hope you're doing well. I have a girl over there... hoping to get my act together enough to come there to spend some time with her, and see what happens. Peace... Tim
Hi Tim. Thank you for asking. The house is finished: new roof floor walls and a new bedroom.
Yes Jen and I are happily married and expecting our 1st child in March.
@@everymanhasastory Wow!! Congratulations! Great news!
PI isn't for everyone. Important vlog for guys considering going to PI. All the best to you and Jen.
Good advice mark
I would laugh if a rat came through the ceiling when I'm there. I'm gonna miss a good steak, but I've had plenty of bad ones here in Louisville. I really enjoy your content. Always tell it like it is, no BS, no fillers for views. I've done so much research on what the locals eat. I really can't wait to try it.
find your videos very informative. been watching for years.I am a 73 Yr od "gay" Man w a family in Northeastern USA, how is it like to live there as a gay man?
Being gay in the Philippines is accepted. You would not be judged Thank you for watching ☺️
Great advice 👍👍👍
Would you say this for guys married to a Filipina who have only had children with her? I believe you mean divorced guys with kids. I think about this a lot because our kids will be mostly grown before we would possibly do this. So I'd like them to have frequent exposure to the Philippines prior to then.
Well said Mark
Great topic. I think you speak with lots of common sense. EV in the Philippines? Ha ha, not yet.
I can't really answer your question. There are lots of freash fruits and vegetables year round here
Veggies in the Philippines are tropical, but your common carrots, green beans and potatoes are all over.
MARK TEMPER WORDS MARK IS NOT GOOD TO PERSON WHO HAVE TEMPER BEHAVIOR DIS ORDER❤❤ TEMPER LEAVE IT WERE YOU GO IN GLOBE AROUND TEMPER CUASE TRUOBLE OR VOILENT BY LAWS SO SO KEEP IT IN YOUR BOX DONT BRING IT❤
Don't move to the Philippines if you have big feet. You will not find shoes. 😂😂😂 Sizes bigger than 10 are very hard to find.
He's correct. I'm a size 12 and I have a hard time finding shoes. However Amazon delivers to the Philippines so I order mine online.
Great, I'm 6'4 240lbs and size 15.
What! Really!
Yes I agree
Let's not forget about the lock-downs from covid.
True, but as bad as it was here we were pretty free compared to other countries.
I agree with you 💯
I have a mentally retarded brother. That I've been seeing after but I have him in a facility. Can I bring him to the Philippines if I come to the Philippines
Of course you can And you can and you could hire a kind care giver for $500 a month to help you.
Good luck
Does wanting clean food and toilet paper when you take a crap mean you're a picky germaphobe?
Hi Mark, Japan is like that too. This is another country where losing your temper is really frowned at. It really makes foreigners look bad, when they start yelling at a waitress, or whoever. Really, a show of low intelligence. Police in big cities don't take shit off of foreigners.
Thank you for watching and sharing this information about Japan. I've never been there.
Love your videos! ❤
Thank you 😊
About the food and germs was spot on. Most restaurants there seen to always have a shortage of napkins and and some don't even have a bathroom to wash your hands. Of course this doesn't seem to bother the Filipinos because a lot of them eat the food using their unwashed hands. If that bothers you my advice is think twice before moving there...
I have seen a rat in the restrooms no toilet paper so it's just life in the Philippines
Funny
I laughed at the picky eater thing. I know many that live in the Philippines that are picky eaters and they complain relentlessly
Don't move to the Philippines if you are being treated for a life-threatening chronic illness😅
Thank you 😊 I will use that one
@@everymanhasastory 👍👌🤗😎
That settles it, I'm going to Thailand.
Go out in a ball of fire...😅 Good idea. I just moved from Thailand (2years) to Cebu PI. I miss Thailand 😃
Thailand is great. It was my 1st choice then I feel in love with the Philippines.
a couple of days after you said this city is home of gentle people, there was a stabbing which im sure was isolated.
Compare the violence in Dumaguete to any comparable sized city in America and I guarantee you Dumaguete will win
"People in the Philippines are non-confrontational."
Sadly, the worst people will think this makes it easier for them to get their way.
That’s correct. They will come back to return and either beat you up or kill you depending how bad the altercation was.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the germaphobe comments
Don’t go to the Philippines if you cannot stand humidity and typhoons.
We've had 1 typhoon in 5 years. Have you seen the weather disasters in America lately?
Mark I like you but you only stay in one place in the Philippines if you’re embarrassing us you better leave
What's wrong with staying in one place? I've been to over 100 countries and many places in the Philippines. So what's your point?
If you don't like Scotty boy
