      If you stop in Glasgow again you must try either Mr Singh's or Mother India. We have loads of good seafood restaurants too, but some on the pricey side. I'm sure you've tried all the traditional Scots dishes but check menus for a dessert called Cranachan. It's made with cream, raspberries, oats, honey & whisky. I'm biased of course but it's delicious. Hope you guys enjoy Scotland despite the weather.

    Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
    Upstairs and downstairs, in his nightgown;
    Rapping at the window, crying through the lock,
    “Are the children in their beds?
    Now it’s eight o’clock.”
    "Wee Willie Winkie" is a Scottish nursery rhyme whose titular figure has become popular as a personification of sleep.

And follow the highland code, ie not leaving rubbish behind, remembering to close any gates behind you, be aware of your surroundings and have the right equipment for where you are camping,always put fires out after use and try to not leave any visible remains of fire (not always possible) leave things as you found them x❤

    A HALF HOUR walk from George Square to the Necropolis? That's a slow walk or a long detour. It's like 15 minutes at most. FYI most of the museums in Glasgow are free, donated by the rich folk in the Victorian era and you need a few days in Glasgow, not a few hours to see the richness of the city. Wee Willy Winky is an old famous poem, you absolutely cannot get the flavour of Glasgow in a few minutes, the city is too varied. Glad you stopped at Drygate, it's a great pub and has tasty food. The Shish Mahal is opposite The Stand, one of the oldest stand up clubs in Glasgow and you could have jumped on the underground from near Drygate and got out just near the Shish Mahal. No uber needed. If you come back to Glasgow give me a shout and I'll do you a toured guide. :)
