As an English ex-delivery driver, whenever my boss said " You're off to Scotland for a couple of days " I was always well pleased, stayed in various hotels, and B+Bs loved it. Stunning scenery and friendly people, even in Glasgow lol.
LOL!! I am Scottish and I don't often get to Glasgow as I'm on the east coast but I'm always struck by how friendly Glasgow actually is it's much friendlier than Edinburgh for example
@lespaddick6248 Lol! Especially being a Londoner, we're not very well liked, lol, but the Glaswegians were great, tough, down to earth people, I felt comfortable and right at home. I miss those days ☹️
Thank you for such a lovely review. Im a proud Glaswegian and love watching visitors touring our country and taking in all that we offer in this country. Haste ye back !!
Glad you's enjoyed it up here in our country. Glasgow born and bred and love your enthusiasm. As you will know, there's a lot of history connecting our dear country to the United States, and that was nice of your friends to show you around.
I live in North of England but get to go to Edinburgh very regularly for work. I am very lucky to have such an amazing country so close. A fantastic place with cracking people 🏴🤜🏼🤛🏼🏴
I live in Suffolk, South eastern England. I did a trip to Scotland with a mate right around the top. Its my favourite place I've ever been, I'm not well travelled so do not have many places to compare too. However the scenery, the nature. It just felt so good everywhere i went.
@@stuartbutcher2642 Yeah I live just outside of the town, Sadly the town is a little dead and deprived now, still lots of history and a few nice places if you know where to look.
You two bring such joy to all of your excursions. And of course it follows that you'd attract two of the most fun people in the UK! And Everly just gets more adorable (and fun like her folks!) every time I see her. I'm not wishing time away, but I can't wait to watch her grow up!
Glad you guys loved Scotland, but I can assure you - You have seen nothing yet! The further up north of Scotland you travel is where you want too visit, Harris/Lewis and the isle of Skye are a must, also reading the history of the Scots you will find interesting in what our ancestors had too endure! We had a motorhome till my wife had a stroke, so I sold it! It were a sad day! In Scotland you can drink the water straight from the river or streams, for it is clean! Feel free too ask me anything about Scotland and where one should visit! Haste ye back!
Scotland is great. It's just such a shame that the climate sucks. There's such a small window of the year where you can comfortably utilise the outdoors, unless you are fine with constant drizzle and wind. If we had a more continental European climate on our Isles, it'd be perfect.
Hand on heart. I love these videos. Ashamedly, You’ve seen more of the UK than I have. Definitely inspiring me to jump in the car and cross the border up to Bonny Scotland!
Heck yeah!!! I'm glad we can push you to head up to such a lovely countryside. Just enjoy each moment when you do it. You are lucky to live so close, and the UK, in general, is pretty freaking amazing. That goes for the land and for the people.

The Kelpies are down the road from me, not sure if you would have seen the other things here in Falkirk and not shown it in the vid. The worlds only rotating boat lift is a little farther along the canal from the Kelpies the other side of town called The Falkirk Wheel and the route along between them is the Antonine wall, it was the northern border of the Roman empire for 20 years, they never finished building it. William Wallace best friend was laid to rest at the churchyard in the middle of town, he fell in the battle of Falkirk 1298, Wallace monument is a little farther north in Stirling.
@@lespaddick6248 They never built it as a tourist site, it was part of the redevelopment of the canals, folk started to turn up and see it and they had to build a cafe and things after lol

Great video, I love your enthusiam for Scotland 😀. We live just North of Inverness and often bump into visitors from America when out and about and love to hear their story and chat with them about what brought them to Scotland when there are so many other (warmer and drier 😆) places they could visit, sometimes this works out and sometimes they think we are some sort of grifters that are trying to sell them someting or con them which is funny 😂, glad you enjoyed the Haggis .
I've always wanted to see the kelpie sculpture. They are shapeshifting demons which appear as a lonely horse and whenever anyone gets too close them. they bite or grab the victim and try to drown them in the nearby river. Sometimes they appear as a handsome man or beautiful woman if the horse ruse doesn't work. I love a bit of folklore :D

Love Glen Coe the scenery is stunning. On a bus tour of my own country the driver pointed out a possible place where the McDonald's clan house once stood. They found ancient coins on the site so they believe this is where they lived.
While in Scotland, i would recommend that you try: Scotch Eggs which is a hard boiled egg with the shell removed, then encased in sausage meat and covered in ruskoline. Tunnocks Caramel Wafer which is like a biscuit snack covered in chocolate. Barr's Irn-Bru or Barr's Sugar Free Irn-Bru. You will see them either in a can or a bottle silver for the SF version and orange for the other (colour of can or bottle) in besides the Coca-cola.
As a scot in Glasgow who is almost in the center every day of the week you should have seen gorge Square during Christmas. Also at lochness hope you did stoneskipping

Ive bookmarked to wztch when home... if you are on your travels I highly suggesy the Scottish Outer Hebridean Islands. Cheap ferry across, then a cossway road bridge you cannisland hop across all the islands. The famous Callanish Stones are here, older than the pyramids and even stonehenge. Sadly you missed the best areas for scenery. Next time (there will be a next time), head up to the far north west to Ullapool and the coastal drive north of there. Stunningly beautiful with great beaches, sea stacks and cliffs and more interesting mountains. There's a 500 mile circular route called the North Coast 500 which covers the best areas. There's plenty of YT videos to give you a flavour of what you can see. Also, Skye is very much worth visiting despite getting very busy in summer and again plenty of YT videos showing the spectacular secenery. Finally, if you want to see how good some of the beaches can be, it's worth checking out Luskentyre Beach images which is on the island of Harris.
One sad thing about the scotish highlands is, that once they were covered with trees all over, but they were chopped down to built all the battle ships the english navy was famous for.
The lady was correct,. Neeps are mashed turnips, that is orange turnips that the English call swedes. What the English call turnips is what we in Scotland call white turnips.

Did you know the Scottish mountains are part of the same range as the Appalachians?
One sad thing about the scotish highlands is, that once they were covered with trees all over, but they were chopped down to built all the battle ships the english navy was famous for.
That is one incredibly cute baby.

Neeps in Scotland are what the English call Swede. Don't confuse them, as Turnips, which is what the woman called them, are not the same.
The lady was correct,. Neeps are mashed turnips, that is orange turnips that the English call swedes. What the English call turnips is what we in Scotland call white turnips.
