@TheLordofLightAndTime7077 I agree that the Sequels are a mess but they did show that Kylo isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. The man can't keep his shit together during interrogations, loses his shit when he failed consistently, lost against a complete newbie, and is just plain inconsistent with his motives. As for Luke, he should've sent the young Ben to the force ghosts to speak about darkness. It would've been great to see Ben speak with Qui-gon about it since he was one of the truest Jedi of his time and always followed the will of the force.

@@joaodala549 it's because just because he was now a cripple that didn't stop Vader from basically doing everything he did as Anakin once Vader was put into the armor he pretty much spent the first 5-6 months completely rebuilding and retraining himself to fight both in and out the suit Vader would occasionally take the armor off in his castle and due battle mediation and saber training without the armor on because the constant agony of near suffocation and exposure to unfiltered air would only grant him more power within the darkside.
Vader is in essence very similar to Guts from Berserk. is damn near crippled yet is still built like hugh jack-man.

on top of being the chosen one his darkside power source and well of power to pull from was practically limitless.
because Maul's hatred was mostly projected onto others mostly Sidious and Obi-wan and Hated for others tends to burn out and fade from time to time due to life's other distractions but Vader's Anger and hatred was towards himself he didn't hate Sidious he hated that he was fooled by him and played by him and he hates that that HE is the reason why he's in this state. no hatred is more potent than hatred at one's self. Anakin's Psyche is what tortured him more than the Suit did.

Thats so bland and boring, I think its much more interesting when it is more complex and there is something preventing him from doing it. Although, it definitely didn't need to be the exegol plot because of the inconsistencies it may create.

don't accept everything sw theory says.. he is confusing legends and canon soo many times.. like at the beginning of this vid he says Vader's power was reduced because of Mustafar.. which is not true in canon.. in canon Vader didn't lose midichlorian like in legends so he was not weaker at all.. he was just limited by his suit, even if Sidious let him modify his suit as he sees fit (in 1 of theory's vid he again confused canon and legends and he said Vader's suit was outdated which is legends, the canon Vader comics starts with that Sidious let Vader do anything he wants with his suit as he and the suit are one)
Sidious is 10/10 and Vader is 10/9, so yes, Sidious is more powerful but not because Vader is weaker because of Mustafar but because he is limited by his suit (+ just think about that Vader is the master of Djem-So, while Sidious is the master of all the 7 ligthsaber form.. not like he needs any lightsaber against Vader)

The saga 1-6 shows you that Palpatine manipulated Vader psychologically, and Vader is full of fear because of his attachment to his mother and lack of a real father figure. That's more complex than the unnecessary bullshit from comic trying to insert a retcon into a saga where it doesn't belong.
Complicated doesn't necessarily mean sophisticated.

He was only capeless for that one scene when he was being rebuilt, by the end of the comic he had a cape again.
One other thing, the Emperor doesn’t have control of the crystal. He’s showing Vader that it doesn’t bother him where it’s causing Vader considerable pain.

Usually when fighting most saber weilders drop the cape or robe. It restrict movement and provides unnecessary air drag

It isn't anymore. Even in the exegol comic, he wasn't necessarily weaker than Palpatine (he may have been but we wouldn't know) and their fight was very inconclusive.
It’s not. It one of the things I love about the new canon. It’s all psychological/emotional for why Vader didn’t kill Palpatine. Although the 80% power was George Lucas’ original vision so I understand why others would prefer that.

Agree with Theory, I love the look of Vader in this! He looks boss! I can’t stand them trying to force into this a way to make sense of the sequels. It just feels like it was written to try and fix all the issues with the sequels.
I am so glad I found this video. That last Channel I was watching this story from had the videos all mixed and it was really hard to tell which order to go with...
Theory, the comic does take place after ESB, the thing is that they showed a little flashback where Vader is hunting down Solo after his little stunt at the Battle of Yavin, they tied that to the monologue where he claims Luke's friends make him weak, so now that Han's body was stolen from Boba Fett (this happened in the Alpha issue of War of the Bounty Hunters) he wants to claim Solo AGAIN, but this time, in order to well, kill him i guess. To get rid of Luke's attachments. The "Corellia: Some time later" text box in the comic was probably an editorial mistake, which tends to happen. It happened recently in the main SW comic, as Luke says that he got his new yellow lightsaber in Elphrona, when he actually got it in another planet. I don't blame you for the confusion, the structure of this particular issue is all over the place. Not to mention the fact that is now part of a bigger storyline, a promising one by the way, sort of a canon version of Shadows of the Empire. With heavy ties to "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

You misunderstand Vader is not 80% of palpatine but much closer. But Vader realizes that palpatine has to much at his disposal for Vader to beat. They are around the same in TK hence why that big monster blew up instead of choking itself to death.
The Into the Fire arc could've been so much better if they just left Exegol out of it. Like they could've done so much more and yet they didn't and that upsets me.
At 2:33 Palpatine looks like Freddy Krueger. He must use a clawed glove to conduct all that lightning he's been shooting at people and we've missed it after all this time! I wonder if Vader has a hockey mask and machete in his meditation chamber. You know, I bet his name's not even really Vader, his mother probably called him Jason or something cool like that... :D
honestly, i always kind of wondered about this. because the rest of the suit is essential to survival but there is no in-universe reason why he needs a cape.

I don't think pain is his connection to the Dark Side. I think it's how he keeps the remnants of Anakin at Bay. His self loathing at becoming a slave again, while betraying everyone who loved him. That's his anchor to the Dark Side. Though he does hate Obi-Wan for leaving him for dead.
It's Pain and hate. Palpatine purposely designed the suit to cause Vader pain because it filled him with rage which is fuel to the dark side.

Just remember everyone, this is a crossover event for “War of the Bounty Hunters.” The prelude signifies that it’s 1 of 5 other comics from other lines that take place before the main event, “War of the Bounty Hunters 1.” If you want a more complete puzzle, you need the other comics! :)

I love how the second installment shows Anakin’s rise to the light, slowly, kinda how the prequels slowly showed his fall to the dark. Very interesting comic and I love so many interesting stuff that is happening that is ACTUALLY CANON

Just look on the Armor of Anakin which he had used as a General in The Clone Wars. It has a lot of similarities to the later Darth Vader Armor.

I would like to comment that by introducing Exegol AND this specific aspect of Fear in Vader, they kind of reduce who Vader is as a character. It doesn't feel right, in that Vader never bent the knee to the Emperor out of fear, it was always because he had nothing else. He's a creature, a Sith, founded on the Fear of losing OTHERS, not on Fear of losing himself, he's never been afraid of giving himself up - which is what the kind of Fear depicted by his reaction to Exegol is.
Vader knew the Emperor could kill him, but he wasn't afraid of dying. I liked the Rise of the Dark Lord book that went into this, or course it was never canon per say, just EU canon. I liked how that went over that both of them knew Vader served him because he needed him...for the power he would need to eventually overthrow him. Which was the way of the Sith so Sideous was fine with it.

This comic is seeming to fix the issue I had with previous issues where Vader and Palpatine's rivalry seems heated enough to the point of betrayal, which IMO takes away from Vader's betrayal in 6. I'm happy it's grounding their relationship a bit more. Not perfectly, but a good amount.

I always thought that was a massive plot hole in episode 9. Sidious sent a single ship to go make an example and it skips to "la resistance" destroying the rest of the fleet. Like, isn't there already a planet killing ISD on the lose that no one bothered to deal with? I would think that's important.

If Vader knew Palp had all these plans (exegol /clones) he must have known throwing Palp into the reactor core wouldn’t have permanently kill him…There’s no logic to this story at all.
I hated the Dark Empire storyline in the comics that brought Palpy back and feel the same about the sequels, it really neuters Vader's arc.

Vader (originally according to lucas) was 80% of the emperors power only in force ability because the suit/missing flesh made him more machine than man
Vader before the battle with obi wan was more powerful than the emperor, palpatine even admitted it to yoda.
The fact that obi wan beat anakin was more about anakins pride making a last minute mistake , causing him to slip on some milk and fall down two flights of stairs , breaking his back, than it was obi wan beating him….
It was mostly fate that the story goes where it does as the entire saga is actually “ the tragedy of darth Vader “ more than it is “Star Wars”

I'm still not a fan of the connections to Ep 9 with originating the emperors plan back to the OT.
They should have had Palpatine pull a Mother Talzin (I may have misspelled the name) memory wipe on Vader, making him forget everything from Mustafar and on. Would have solved the problem with Vader not informing Luke of Exegol (though perhaps he believed it wasn't a threat with Palpatine dead) and have been a callback to The Clone Wars show.
George Lucas' trilogy never went backwards. There weren't any flashbacks, only recall of the main characters; Obi Wan talking about Luke's father, Greedo referring to Han owing Jabba the Hutt, Count Dooku talking about how Qui Gon Jin was once his apprentice. No flashbacks in the present story, be it original or prequel.
I remember taking the cape off vaders toy to see how i’d look myself.

Yeah the massive fleet of star destroyers on Exogal being already a thing during the time period of The Empire Strikes Back makes 0 sense. The comic was great when it came to Vader trying to find who was hiding his son and wanting to know more about how Padme actually died and Palpatine punishing him. If he had just done his trial and then proved himself and taken Darth Sidious's side again, then I'd have LOVED the comic. Because if I was Vader I would have done the exact same thing. I'd be furious the Emperor blamed me for the death of my wife only to find out not only did I not kill her, but she had a child (since at this point I wouldn't know she had twins) and I'd want to know the truth. Then I could understand Darth Sidious making him suffer for essentially behaving like how Anakin would. In Darth Sidious's mind, Darth Vader could be angry about being lied to but he is Darth Vader now so he shouldn't care how she died or who hid Luke. So punishing Darth Sidious would of course punish Vader for it. But the Exogal stuff? It completely contradicts the whole point of the Death Star or all the normal star destroyers even being a thing. If he had an entire fleet of Star Destroyers that could destroy planets, then why need a death star at all? And why the hell would the Emperor be on it? Why not be in a random star destroyer towards the back so the rebels would have no idea which star destroyer he's on so that way the rebels wouldn't know for sure what star destroyer he's on out of thousands. Also why wouldn't they use their planet destroying abilities to just like you said, bring them all into the galaxy and the empire state that if the rebellion doesn't back off they'll just start blowing up planets at random or use them on large rebel ships? I mean the rebellion would have no choice but to surrender and a death star would be useless.
To correct you though the reason he wouldn't blow up endor is because the shield generator for the death star was on it. But i guess if the shield generator was destroyed they could then just k.o. endor. But then again he has a battalion of his best troops on the moon so he may not want to risk destroying so many of his people.
When it comes to Vader saying he wants to kill Luke as he's a threat to his position, I think Vader is using that as a lie to prove loyalty to the Emperor and to also make himself seem more "sith like" since sith apprentices do not ever want to be replaced. I think his plan was to have Luke join him and then together they could kill the emperor and rule the galaxy. I think he originally in empire strikes back wanted Luke to turn to the dark side but like you said he protected the emperor in Return of the Jedi because he didn't want Luke to strike down the Emperor because he knew if he did in anger he would fall to the dark side and at this point Vader didn't want him to turn to the dark side. Also maybe Vader knew Palpatine could use essence transfer and knew if the Emperor was struck down Sidious that Sidious would jump into Luke's body. But him saying he wants to kill Luke I genuinely think was a lie.
