I would not consider this vehicle a bargain at $81K………Sorry but even though it is a tad less opulent the Acura MDX Type S is more of a bargain at $75K with more performance and air suspension. I still don’t see any stand alone Genesis dealers appear yet either. That said it is a nice looking vehicle.
WITH the TTV6, I absolutely like this wagon. Not as roomy as some. But handles well and goes like stink, eats gas. Wishing that they weren't easy to steal either. But its a very stylish car. Just don't ever hook your phone to it's apple car play or android auto. Lauren has already covered the car that spies on you in another video. Try ordering one without NAV as well.
Love this car just got the prestige edition my only gripe is that In 2024 I really have a car with no wireless apple carplay what a joke. All good though If that's all I'm missing for 20 extra count me in.
I don't trust Genesis yet, like how Hyundai vehicles in the beginning either rusted out or broke down early on. Seems like lipstick on a pig, without the actual quality or luxury. Seems like another Saturn dealer nightmare. And pricey... Maybe I am wrong.
The old "Hyundai cars rust out" myth has been false for many years now. My first car was a 1978 Honda Civic and what a rust bucket! No factory installed FM radio, manual transmission, etc. Since Honda was relatively new to the US market, it had the same reputation as Hyundai in the 1990s. My last few vehicles have been Hyundais and they have been excellent vehicles. Great warranties and very few repairs.
I think the most definitely need a hybrid or a plug-in hybrid version of that car. The thing is terrible on gas and will gas prices being what they are, a hybrid version of that car would do wonders for people, not to mention the environmental impact a hybrid version of that vehicle might be able to make
So compared to a Rivian R1S this is way slower, no air suspension, much more basic suspension setup, less interior space and cargo space, smaller screen, much more antiquated as far as the app and OTA updates, zero offroad capability, less towing capability, takes premium gas at 20 MPG combined plus synthetic oil changes and maintenance... so I keep asking myself for $80K, WHY would I buy this instead of the Rivian? It's like the reason people still pay $300 a month for cable instead of streaming I guess.
Build quality is tops in the segment Reliability is a hit or miss. I’ve heard even new Toyota owners have reliability problems. Those issues you speak of are sample sets of one
Right, that makes sense. Wait, no, it doesn't. All the naysayers need to compare Genesis warranty to ALL others in this segment. If there was a build/reliability problem Genesis would be bankrupt... instead they're on fire. It's a large part of my decision to buy one. Lots of sour grapes in these comments. Own one, then, u can comment.
I'm not mad at you for the title Lauren but do you think Genesis and "bargain" will ever stop going hand in hand? I ask this because IMO they've earned the respect to stand on their own without the use of a crutch word like "bargain" all the time 👈
I’d choose it for sure. Definitely one of the best Asian luxury SUVs

Thanks for adding that
a luxury car is NEVER a bargain
Pretty car.
21 prestige w 58K enjoying it .

I agree about the wiper blade. I have a 2023 Tucson and the blade is tucked under.
2025 GV80 is the one with a lot of upgrades; they need to offer Captains Chairs option w/o matte paint and massage function for both front seats.
The 2025 model is out, please do a review if possible. The changes are substantial, although I dont think is available outside Korea now.
How is her hand existing @4:52? I'm so confused.
Defender?
So I think the 2025 is the one with the double cross (diamond) chrome front grill on the GV80. The coupe has single cross.
Instead of showing us cars none of us can afford, why not review vehicles that are low-cost, reliable and practical?
Yeah I’ll keep my 22 X5M competition.
So which is better? The GV80 or Palisade?
Of course, the gv80
Better than BMW BENZ AUDI and LEXUS.

nice. These cars look so expensive in real life, puts Lexus to a shame.
Not really. Look it up. A lot of problems with this vehicle. They are not reliable yet.
They are far more reliable than the Lexus@@jameldavis8190

This looks too ugly and cheap plasticky compared to previous models that were gorgeous, pricy looking with its chrome accents and aluminum alloys
Build quality? Reliability? Have heard several problems with Genesis. Don't be fooled by the lipstick on the pig.

AGreed and good point -but compared to the German competitors this is a great value
I was told I couldn't get the hud in the g 80 I can't buy a car that doesn't have hud especially at that price
