Thanks for the info, I have been exclusively using my kyorim k1 rod since I got it but I liked this one when I used it. I’m glad it’s holding up for you 👍
I don't know how to pronounce Sougayilang , but I have a bunch of their stuff. I just ordered a ultralight casting rod for the Kastking zephyr bfs reel. I'm sure it will work well. I've had 2 sougayilang reels for over two years now and their great.
Busted my tip off this morning just casting out. It's fine. I just sanded down the rod at the nearest eyelet and pit a dab of superglue. Worked fine. Lol
i used/use a sougayilang rod for my bfs and it has brought up some nice rockrish (stripped bass) here in maryland. nothing massive, but its pulled in some nice 19-30 inch slots here.
My high dollar ultra light has the same problem with the line tangle around the last guide. I think it comes with the nature of light line. That rod looks nice, perfect for the truck, hit the random pond while on the road.
Yeah, I cant wait to get a monster on it. I wish that 5 pounder you caught a couple vids ago was on your bfs rather than your spinning rod. That is the dream!
@@JoshuaBFishing I’ve heard of people catching them in the Colorado and I’m still waiting on mine. That must have been awesome! Hopefully you were making a video
Thanks for the review.👍 I watched it 2 times already. I should have a four-part spinning version coming soon. I hope the fishing rod will arrive faster than the water covered with ice😁
For the price it’s hard to beat. For the portability, there are really no options like this for rods available at the USA stores. I hope you like yours. I have pretty much switched to the k1 for most of my bfs fishing now.
Had one of these rods too. I ended up snapping the tip during the car ride. I did not even get a chance to use it. I was able to glue a new tip on it. It was hard to find one that small. So I made it into a light instead of ultralight.
@@BRandomFishing I either found one kit at a tackle shop or got one off Amazon. I did buy both. So if that happens hold onto the tip. I also wrapped a piece of kite string around the tip of the rod for a tighter fit so the glue would have more to hold onto. It was a small but slightly tricky project.
Man that was a good deal. $14.74 & perform that well too. You definitely know where the good deals are. Awesome seeing you going out there and catching some fish with it too. That was a Cool sunset you showed. Can't wait till I can get out and fish. Good video buddy. Hope you and your family are having a good weekend.
@@idriss123456 the bfs scene is gaining traction, I absolutely love it! I really like the k1 rod I have. I made a video on that one too. I would 100% recommend that one
@@BRandomFishing thanks! nice fish! in 10 days my rod arrives :D not shur if i make it with spinning reel daiwa sweepfire 1500 or a baitcast reel .. i think i test it^^
For the money it is really good. It is ultra light with a slow action, not super sensitive because I think it would have to be a fast action to be sensitive. I bought the k1 rod, you can search may channel for that one and it is more sensitive. This one can probably cast lighter baits.
Hi there i have same rod (just spinnig version) i bought it for trout fishing . Biggest trout i caught was 18 inch brown trout (my first trout fishing permit here in Czech republic ,and it was expensive and no fish in my home town river :( ) rod could handle it easy but i wonder how big fish it can catch ? This year i have fishing permit to ponds (backwater) and i am aiming for perch ,pikeperch, pike (no bass here :( ) ....... .... what was the biggest fish you ever caught on this rod ??? size ,weight ? .. i am little worried if i catch like 30 inch pike will it break ? ..... i saw that river form carp but what was his size like ? :) (i have noticed u did not measured it)
that carp was the biggest fish I’ve caught on it so far. I forgot my tape measure. That carp was about 9 pounds and was about 26” probably. I wasn’t worried about the rod at all, I would be more worried about the line. I was only using 4lb test line. What would you be using for pike? I can’t imagine that the rod would break before the line. Congrats on that 18 inch brown trout! That is a beast and thanks for watching 👍
@@BRandomFishing i will probably use 0.14 mm line for that rod max weight on the line is 4,8 pounds (2,2 kg) but in real test is like 80% (of it) so 3,9 pounds (1,76 kg) .. i prefer expensive line 100m costs 6,5 dolars (100 m = 328 ft ...... 0,14 mm = ? what is smaller than inch ? :D) btw thx for fast respond and i wish u many big fish and more views (i amn now confuse is pound same word as lb i mean lb ... i hate your not metric system :D) ............ and i just order new china reel Kastking summer 500 for that rod (Kastking and Tsurinoya are decent china brands)
@@Ch053 Ive heard those are good brands but i have not tried them yet. The only reason i got some china brands is because i could not find any BFS rods that were not one piece rods here in the US. Bought one, used it last season. You cannot beat that rod. Price vs performance is off the scale. Better the something 20x the price
