      I'm looking to buy a casting reel for lures just above the "ultra light" range, starting from maybe 5g up to 15g.
      Which reel on Aliexpress would you recommend ?
      I was looking for the Zephyr or the Dark Wolf but I'm affraid they won't perform well with heavier lures.
      I love your videos, maybe the only on YT reviewing that much of Ali products !

    As a bait maker, we usually don't use grams to weigh our weights, hooks, plastics, jerk baits, cranks, and swimbaits. I throw some big trout swimbaits up to one pound. Every time I launch that huge swimbait, I cringe. I guess I'm old fashioned, I love cork handles. However, I'm about ready and willing to try carbon fiber as a handle. When I order molds overseas, they have to convert grams to ounces on the molds. Great video!

    I haven't tried it on this rod but a lot of times if you want to buy more than one that shipping will just be a one-time charge so then you'll actually you could get two or three a lot cheaper each the only way to really find out is a put like the ones you want in your cart and then go to like check out and just see what they charge you total you know when you click on it before you buy and just see looks like an awesome rod but the last thing I need is another awesome rod LOL

    When you head down to Florida for peas I have plenty of rods you can use if you don't want to hassle with a rod tube (Jackson Super Trickster STC 64L, 5 Exprides, 2 Zodias, 10 various Bone four pieces including BFS, some Diawa rods from Brazil and over 30 of the great Jabbers five pieces which are awesome). The Jabbers Fin Raiser spinning, Urban Beats in both spinning and casting and Pleasure Seeker BFS are a blast on our little peas and the ML Urban Beats has landed peas up to 18 pounds in Brazil and Colombia.

      @@THEREELTEST We had some serious die off with the recent cold snaps but there are plenty left. Pretty much any canal or pond from Palm Beach south has peas. Alligator Alley is good and we usually get forty to over a hundred peacocks, some bass and other miscellaneous treats (jaguar guapote, Mayan cichlids, oscars) out there on a decent day. That's about forty minutes from my house. BFS is an absolute blast and perfectly suited to South Florida fresh water. Any questions before you leave, let me know, just reply here or on my video Big Beautiful Colombian Peacock Bass.

  • @davidwells6556
    @davidwells6556 Рік тому

    If you haven't come to Florida yet, they put peacock bass in three counties last I checked. Palm beach county will be the first "most northern" county you get to. There is lake Erwin, which you can only use kayaks and has a camp ground that's nice. I would go there if you have a kayak. I have caught some huge Peacock bass there, and I always catch a whole bunch. I know that lake very well since I live three miles from it. I would get down here before it gets hot. S. Florida is no fun in the summer, I promise you that. I hate the summer here which is eight months long. Good luck.

    Thanks for not recommending the Tsurinoya Dragon C602UL, it is NOT an ultra light! I had a load test test done to determine speed of this casting rod. It actually fits in the Light category. The C662L is slower (softer bend) than the C602UL. I contacted Tsurinoya and provided results. They say they're within limits. Crap! Agree with commenter that the Ace Hawk CU Double much better for half the price.

    I got one of these rods as well. Got longer one (223 of so) in MH, fine it's 2pcs rod, not so positive about the pivot. It influences the curve ,but it's not an real issue. We got used to budget rods targeting the top shelf. It s not always a success. I do find the Ace Hawk far better quality overall , than this one. Problem with Hawk rods is they do free only 2 models. But grip is to short, but sensitivity and quality compensates the cons. Now enough about the budget stuff... What about Shimano Poison Glorious, the BFS, or wide range swim bait model...how does it compare to NRX... Can't compare myself, i do not have NRX.
