If you have the 1000 you can easily reach the filter under the seat, pop the storage box out and it's right behind it
THANK YOU! Very easy to reach and change. Thanks again.
XP1000 or standard 1000
Looks like a simple job to do I got a side by side myself thanks for sharing the video
Very helpful, informative and great visuals as to "how to" do all this. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad I could help you out. Thanks for watching!
Watched the Polaris official video and this one is better. Nice job!
Thank you! Glad we could help.
UTV DIRT hope you guys are making money off these. I have installed the backup lights, turn signals, front grill light bar, and bumper. All ordered thru your links to Amazon and E Bay.
Nice! We make a little commission but hopefully the channel will keep growing. Thanks for the support!
Thank you. Helps to know where filter is and how to access it.
No problem. Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Polaris also recommends changing your front differential oil every 100 hours or thousand miles. Same with the rear.
Yep you are correct. I will probably do a video on it when the time comes. Thanks for watching!
We miss your awesome video’s, happy holidays 2021 cheers
Thank you! Happy holidays!
New channel here. Great stuff utv smashed the like and rang the bell. I'll admit I'm not the most mechanically inclined. But these videos are really helpful. I did recently get a 89 year old out on a ride in mine ;:) pretty cool on video #28
Loving my 2019 ranger so far close to 700 miles no issues
Thank you! I will check out your channel.
I always prefill the oil filter pat way also.
Yes you can definitely prefill the oil filter. Thanks!
Polaris dropped the ball with placement of the oil filter on these 900/1000 Rangers. It's real fun removing the oil filter when the headers are warm.
Yeah I agree it didn't make sense to me. It was a little warm in there when I was removing the oil filter.
@@UTVDIRT Did oil leak out when you changed the filter? I had to put paper towels under it to catch the oil.
@@raywatkins4835 Yeah a little bit. Just cleaned it up with some shop towels.
A little easier to remove the filter on a crew if you lift the rear seats and remove the storage bins. Filter is right there behind the rear seat. Maybe the same for a single cab?
Go under the seat
Thanks for the video I am coming up to the first service on my 1k crew. You should look into getting the OEM upper brush guard. It made mine look a lot better and it is rugged!
Thanks I have been looking at that brush guard and It does give it a rugged look. That might be the next purchase!
Just ordered me a kit thanks again
No problem Lakey. Glad your still here I haven't heard from you in awhile. Lol
O yeah still following always the best videos
Is it a size on oil wrench?
I believe it is 65mm wrench for oil filter
Great video! Could you have one on grease fitting location? That would be awesome!
second this
You’re the man.
Thanks Jesse! Thanks for watching!
U still have the Ranger? Saw you bought can am maverick..
I bought a new Ranger couple months back.
what do you clean your dash and inside with? I went trail riding last year and got the inside dusty and dirty and never been able to get it clean since
Check out my video on how to clean your sxs to keep it looking new. I go step by step.
Ever thought about the oil filter relocation?
No I have not thought about relocating the oil filter. I don't thinks It's bad enough.
If a filter looks close can I use it even if it is wrong part number?????
I would check with the dealer to see if the parts numbers cross reference to each other and can be used.
@@UTVDIRT what du u du
The Wix XP filters better than the OEM for future reference.
Explain why their better please.
@@rongray4587 watch a video comparison. The wix has way more filtering media and is much better constructed as well as being oftentimes less expensive.

I Have 2014 900 XP. I'm looking for replacement battery. Any ideas were to look?
You can find them on Amazon. Check out the link.

What size oil cap wrench is that? TIA
I believe it is 65mm wrench for oil filter
Did you reset your setting on dash as far as next oil change it’s a wrench that flashes it’s set up for mileage like a car I think or could be hours
Yes I set it to the next service interval.
Do you have to bring it into a dealership or can you reset it yourself?
Linden Gauthier you can do it yourself
Lakey Wilder what buttons do you press? If you dont mind explaining please
My best friend is a Polaris mechanic I will get him to explain it to me he does mine I will post it up this weekend
Do you have a video on your exhaust upgrade
Yes I did a install video on the HMF exhaust. You can go to my channel and look under the video tab.
Who’s doors do you have on?
They are called fortress doors.
Where did the small washer go?
That goes on your drain plug. The old ones sometimes crack or don't seal right so I just replace them plus it comes with the kit.
I just subscribe to your channel. Are you going to do a chassis lube video on your Polaris Ranger?
Thank you! Yes I plan on doing a lube and diff fluid change in the near future.
How the F do u get the bed pin n cable on. They make it almost impossible to reconnect
Any tricks??? I'm ready to burn this turd down
It's a pain in the you know what! It's best to have two people one for bringing the bed down and the other putting the pin in. Also used a small screwdriver to line the holes up for the pin. It takes a minute but you will eventually get it.
@@UTVDIRT thanks....I live alone. It's a real bitch with the cable
