Very interesting to see the adoption of this kind of technology into agriculture! Haven't seen anything like that up here yet, but I think you'd need an army of those to cover the hundreds of acre fields in my area. Still, I can certainly think of uses within the lawn care / landscape business. Thanks for the video!
If you had 2-4 of these drones operating in the same large field could they be synchronized to not miss an area or not spray an area twice? This is great technology for farmers.
Yes, there is a route segmentation feature that allows you to split a field into multiple sections and assign each section to one of your DJI Agras T50 drones.
You had the controller in your hand while INSIDE the sweep area of the blades. That scared the hell out of me. You don't want your hands near the controller while in that danger area, because you could drop the controller, or hit a wrong switch and start that thing! Safety first, my friend.
But you are aware that you need to hands to start this drones? Like every DJI drone? So even if he drops the remote and both sticks will go in the correct direction (which is most unlikely happen) it should be safe. Also he held it most the times in one hand, again not really possible to start the drone by accident to starter it manually. And like shown in the video, if he mote drops it can’t just swipe the screen slider to start the automatic route.
It's almost impossible to accidentally start a DJi drone. They either have a long hold delay on the auto takeoff, multi tap start, or you need 2 hands to fire it up.
When they upgrade the drone to automatically switch batteries and charge the empty ones, as well as automatically refill its tank using a larger one (a 1000-liter tank or whatever size, with a dispenser for the drone), it will be amazing.
Do you know what is 1000 ltr tank means? Even helicopters like MI-18 only can lift payload of 2.18 Tonnes. If you want drone to lift 1000 ltrs, you are asking for helicopters and not drones.
@@JinxKapaliyou've totally missed the point, he meant it would be great if you could automate the process of swapping batteries, charging batteries and auto-refilling its stock tank from a larger tank.
Hopefully one day the battery replacement can be automatic but the 1000 liter tank defies the purpose. Right now the drone pilots can carry the drone in a normal truck or trailer
A totally amazing class of drone. Police standard I would guess. Makes my DJI Mini 3 Pro seem like a Lilliputian 😂 I used to train guys how to use backpack pesticides sprayers. Dilution and spray output and width etc was always an issue for them (and for me😂). This seems to make it easier.
There is so much technology in this drone. Unbelievable that it does everything automomous. The turns are xtremely smooth. Does the farmer need a special licence to operate this drone?
Yes, there is the FAA part 107 license, Exemption for over 55 lb drones, FAA part 137 license and each state has its own pesticide and chemical handling licensing. Please contact support@talosdrones.com for more information.
hi higaoyou, have you become a flat earther yet? If not I suggest viewing the 13 part series _what on earth happened_ in my about to learn how the earth is not a globe
That is correct, the data that was presented to us shows that Chinese farmers use more DJI Agricultural drones than all other countries in the world combined. The United States farmers are adopting the agricultural drone technology rapidly as well.
After the spray route has been programmed, is it uploaded to the drone so the drone can fly the route autonomously from the controller or is the controller constantly telling the drone how to fly the route?
The program gets uploaded to the drone and the DJI Agras T50 follows the defined path. Even if the remote controller gets disconnected the DJI Agras T50 can continue the spray mission and complete it.
for one, you are pouring the chemical in the container the wrong way round, it will splash all over the place, trurn the container with side facing the receiver before you tilt and pour
I wonder can this drone go like 40 meters height to overcome a building to reach the crop before starting to spry and than again to come back to refill and swap battery? is there a high limit/range limit? :P
Thank you for your suggestion. The remote controller has multiple fail safes before turning on the drone. If there is someone too close to the drone it doesn’t allow you to take off except if you confirm a message on the remote that you understand there is an obstacle near the drone. The message shows up if someone tries to arm the motors intentionally or by mistake.
So a farmer would need to get their part 107 to use this or just assume all drone pilots use this as a daily flyer? This thing could also be used for hunting..imagine filling up gallons of deer urine and using this to spread over a field..oh yeah!
The flight time on the DJI Agras T50 Sprayer drone while spraying with a full tank is 7 to 10 minutes. The charger takes about 10 to 15 minutes to charge each battery. We recommend 3 batteries and 1 charger per drone to spray continuously.
I intend on attending and doing a lot of yachting and sandbar parties in the near future, what type of drone do you recommend that I go out there and buy for me to use on the bow of my Mangusta rev 165

The crop dusting planes have their place, however the DJI Agras T50 can cover almost 40 acres per hour. The cost of 3 drones to cover almost 120 acres per hour is less than $100,000. A crop dusting plane would cost a lot more than that.
WOW - BAD design for the 'fuel' to be able to splash/leak [1:14] on the Power Distribution Board = relocate either or both parts so that NEVER happens!! Lost me there - L8R, G8R...

I could see this technology to be a real help and price wise for farmers.

It’s not going to be a help for crop dusters pilots
@@Acemechanicalservices With this technology more farmers will start using this. Crop dusting pilots may be looking for other type of work.
Excellent video. I need one of these. Great product.
It is impressive how quiet that is. Looks like it will put crop duster airplanes out of business!

I hope crop dusters pilots, plane and equipment manufacturers are preparing to find a new plan.
For smaller farms this must be more economical, but I wonder how it scales, cost wise, to very big farms as compared to a crop duster airplane?
Many of our customers are crop dusting businesses that are adding the DJI Agras T50 to their fleet of crop dusting planes and drones
Don't worry about that fuzzy windscreen that came with the DJI mic. It's unnecessary.
You guys should make apply this same tech to a regular gas powered small helicopter, with increased capacity.
