About Us:
We are a homeschool and homesteading family currently building on our new 20 acre homestead in North Idaho. We garden, seed save, raise rabbits, raise chickens, process our own meat, save our own seed, can, bake, and do just about everything that we can ourselves to achieve a self sufficient and debt free life for our family.

I worked for the Navy for 35 years. I have 2 baseball caps with patches (CNA and CV USS AMERICA) and I’m immensely proud of them. I can only imagine how proud you are of all the patches you’re getting and the letters that come with them!

I absolutely understand the emotion as a veteran whos son and daughter deployed. Any kindness shown for those who serve..soldier, police, fire...tears me up also. Including this video. It's a tough one for sure leaving your brothers and sisters in law enforcement that you worked with for so long who you always knew you all had each other's backs and are like family. These are memories for a lifetime. My husband was in the Washington State Patrol and is retired. The two of you have a new vision and a new path for your whole family and looking at the state of things nationwide I can surely say it was a GREAT decision to start anew with your own homestead. Get you some cork tiles and maybe on the wall under your "man cave" sign you can have a bigger place to display. Would also give you room to expand if you needed it.
How touching getting all the badges but the letters are heart warming and a blessing from your youtube family. Bathroom is moving along, can't imagine what it is to live with no hot water. Sink and vanity are really nice and can't wait for the next vid.

Cork Board suggestion- cover the Man Cave wall that was behind you with rolled cork or gypsum board. You could even paint a map of the US and put the patches in the states they came from. Luv you all! 🌻

Your concept of the tiny home in the garage is the best thing I have ever seen. I will some day do the same.
Just a thought about the patches you are getting . What you might do is make a list of the patches you have so the people who wish to send you a patch can see if they are on the list already . But do encourage them to send a letter and a picture of whatever they want . That way you all don't get doubles and Triples of what you already have . Just a thought .
