Long tube headers need a resonator. I'm going to see how the stock Mach 1 catback sounds on my own Mach 1 with Kooks headers first before making adjustments. Any resonator delete makes it extremely raspy.
100% agree, the Mach 1 sounds totally different to any GT. I decided to keep my headers and active mufflers and only put a Steeda H pipe in, its all it needs to keep that true Mach 1 sound.
It’s the same exact motor I’m pretty sure the only difference is the air intake and maybe the exhaust. This is also coming from a base gt broke boi so maybe I’m just salty too lol
My car has been in the shop since feb 19 and seeing and hearing this beauty is just making the wait for me that much longer lol great video

@@isrstrategies nothing. A truck driver hit me so everything has been paid for by the trucking company. Estimate completion date is 3-4 weeks from Monday.

That is such a nice car but I couldn’t justify spending the $63K on the Mach1 when Chevrolet was charging the same money for a ZL1. But damn, I sure do like the Mach1.

Headers do make a little more power and sound more deeper in tone but where they really help is supercharged,cause the benefits of it breathing better and making more power.

I have a 21 mach 1 and love it. What brand of long tube headers did you use? I also have a steeda h pipe on mine now. I think yours does as well. Do you have the corsa extreme exhaust or the sport? Love the sound and glad you kept her!

Also if it's a gasoline car you can buy a tuner for that vehicle and you can basically get better gas mileage and it will tune your vehicle up and down and you'll be able to control it with a computer or whatever so if you want more horsepower you'll have less gas in your tank and then if you want to ride that hole with audit on performance I guess then you'll have more gas mileage or whatever

Have you ever tried flowmaster exhaust and makes noise when you romp on it but it doesn't make a whole lot of backlash like flowmasters or whatever usually flowmasters you let off the gas and it makes all the noise
I haven't tried a flowmaster exhaust!
I did the same thing with Corsa and headers. The only issues was the step down in size on the exhaust tips vs the mach1 tips. Not really getting why Corsa doesn’t make 4.5in tips.
I'm getting a 2018 1SS comaro and again they are not being made anymore so they are also going to be nice cars and keep there value

I believe it's a matter of personal taste. It sounds raspy (and loud.. that I like), but it lost the distintive low rumble tone of the Mustangs. Talking about the 5L, I prefer it stock, or to be exact I prefer the stock Bullitt sound.
Trying out the stock mufflers this week!
@@KaitRose If you aren't about to turboing it, the full exhaust system (especially the headers) is (IMO) an excessive and unnecessary expense... but I guess you have other plans for the future. :) As for the sound a Mach1 (as a Bullit) with a H-Pipe only (for a fraction of that cost) will sound more in line (and IMO better) with the Mustang timber. I guess the stock mufflers will improve it anyway.
Too loud and raspy. A 'Stang should have a deep and throaty sound. That exhaust will get annoying real quick.

I just bought a premium ecoboost, it's all stock. And its 2017 model. I need same as this loud sound or more. Any recommendations.
Similar setup to what I have! Headers, double H pipe, and catback exhaust. Maybe look at Borla for the catback since it generally has a deeper tone. But the H midpipe will deepen the tone as well.

I just started on my Kooks LT green cat install and since I had previously deleted the resonator I just supported the axel backs with a ratchet strap saved my self from having to remove the rear pan too. Removing the front splitter and pan was a chore... I hope you took a good look at those rear harnesses to the active exhaust... the passenger side is the only warranty work ive had done since it's so close to the frame I had 1 broken wire. What kind of tune did you incorporate? E-85? Have you had it on a Dyno?

Hey Tony! The exhaust set up I have is FBO so it'll be safe. and you can always revert back to stock. I'd recommend the corsa double h pipe and corsa extreme cat back exhaust to get the closest sound without having to install headers! Congrats on your new mach!!

A wobble socket angle driver probably should wrap some stuff on your headers that doesn't burn up to keep the heat off of your wires and whatnot

Since the video did you tune it. I thought header installs should have a tune to get the most out of them yes? Super nice car, I have a 2021 GT with Corsa and thinking about this same setup. Thankfully we have the active exhaust mode for those start up mornings, like you said. Sorry neighbors!
Tune is scheduled! Just have it parked for now :) Nice! I think you'd like it. We're going to test out the stock mufflers soon too i think. Yeah that active exhaust is 100/10! :)

Mach 1 sounds amazing. I am running straight pipe on my 18 GT has an H pipe and no mufflers. Don’t have any modes to toggle, so my beast is unleashed at all times. I’ve toyed with the idea of throwing long tube headers on it…if I do that….my stang is gonna be wake up the dead loud!

Thinking about getting long tube headers with a borla atak on my mustang
How much power would that give you ? The exhaust is supposed to be 5-7 percent or about 25 hp headers probably add to that, they both definitely help a supercharged car breath better

I personally like the lower classic rumble over the wet raspy fart sound.
Definetely need to put the stock mid pipe back that has the resonators in it. Sounds way too rarspy and the stock mid will make it sound more like a v8.

Super happy you asked, so we also have a 2016 hellcat charger which has the same chassis.. probably feels more boat-like than the mustang. My dad has a challenger and it feels more like a "muscle car". I will say that dodge is probably more comfortable for most but not sure if its faster. I think if you were to get the mustang, it's going to feel more nimble and responsive in a way. best I can say is to test drive one! or get the new 2024 mustang because that thing looks SO COOL!
