Tore into the top end and found a nice and blued, locked up crank shaft lol. Stay tuned for part 4 where I tear down the bottom end to throw a new Hot Rods Crank and bearings in!

Glad your back to doing regular vids. Love them especially the rebuilds thanks
Dude the look of disgust on your face when a Milwaukee 1/2 couldn’t break those cylinder bolts loose 😂😂
Next t shirt "Im a CHOP shop guyyyy!"
Dude that's a great idea lol
U should be at 1 million subs
Thank you so much man!
Agreed
This seems exactly what I have going on with my 700r 07,Mike I started watching your videos just before I got this bike 4 years ago and haven’t stopped watching since, you cover a lot and help the average to semi mechanical diy. I also enjoy you,Pete Hager and guy’s riding. Please keep up the good work and interesting things. Raptor Rob from Mi. 52 and still riding.
I’ve been studying these raptor 700 videos of yours for a while and am in the process of rebuilding mine to a 734. And every single bolt on my engine was also tighter than dicks hat band. I don’t think anyone has been in my engine before, my theory is how hot the engine runs. But thanks for the videos. Cuervo has tons of great tips, but he doesn’t video the grunt work like you do that I need to do the basic tear downs.
"O WOULD U LOOK AT THIS" LOL
Lmao I'm glad someone got that haha
Congrats 🎈
I have watched all of them love your banshee man!
Thank you so much man!
Great vid as always
Congrats man!
Great break down bro.keep up the great content
Thank you!
I bent a breaker bar the other day changing from winter steel rims to summer alloy rims, someone had just gunned the bolts on with an impact gun, way to tight.. hate it when people can’t just fasten stuff right.
Cp the best hands done. Just break-in them in correctly. Have one on my kfx. 12 yrs plus on it so far.
12 years!? God damn!
Great vid!
I watch them all brotha
And those oil line bolts the copper washers are the same for the brake caliper banjo bolts
Been working on my Jetski all day or else I would’ve watched this earlier
Always appreciated
I like ya page man. It’s reminds me of a tv show. Real good content.
Thanks man, this comment made me feel great!
No problem. I’m just ready for the next video. I have quads myself and I like to see other people doing the stuff I do.
Great vid ! Lots of awesome info thanks !!!
These vids are saving my quarantine
Order new copper washers, they are 1 time use kind of
Unless you heat them to 700 degrees Fahrenheit aka anneal them.
@@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel They're a penny each.... replace is best practice. I get it LOL.
@@dny9394 not sure where you can order anything for a penny and have it shipped to your door. Usually the bigger issue is the time it takes. When you're ready to finish up a project and go ride you don't always want to wait a few days.
Awesome Mike 《☆》I'm attempting to transfer mechanical knowledge to My son thru prayer. He lives 30 miles away & it seems to be working pretty good so far ☻
Hell yea BDOG! Thank you!
Love your videos
Your right the raptor will have started with an A piston then you go up a size B C or D to compensate for the wear to the cylinder
I pulled the cylinder head off a friends 2007 700 to replace the blown head gasket. He's the original ownwr and has never had the head off. His piston has a B on it.
Yes
do you have a part 4 to this video ?? exploring a similar issue on our rhino 700, mine still runs but has a rod knock. Thinking it might be the cylinder / rod connection or worst case rod crank bearing gone out leading to some heavy piston slap.
Used this video to double check which way the cam chain tensioner goes in since it seems to fit either way. The Clymer manual doesn't show how it goes.Teeth down is the answer at 8:58. 👍👍👍 Thanks
Congrats on the 1mil views and great vids
Love ur builds & videos
Love the videos
Big up from franch paris
Oh would ya just look at it!
Just took apart my first banshee for the first time to check everything over. Got motivation from u, it wasn't that bad. I'll inspect the engine tomorrow. Thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work. Congrats on the milly lol
Thanks brother! I am glad you like my videos and I am motivating you!
Bro keep up the work I never missed a video
Work
Is that the correct size piston for the bore? You can see a gap all the way around the piston and you can see a lot of the piston ring.
Red in the face there lol
Love video
My vote for the banshee is a 421cc build 👍🏼
Ford_Cummins unreliable
Cool build idea but yes, it would be less reliable unless I put mad money into the build.
Nice video bro I'm going through the same thing the engine would turn a couple times and then seem like it would seize up I'm guessing it's the rod bearing? Going to be in the process of doing it 2006 special edition excellent condition
That cylinder is going bad, top inside near exhaust. Common issue with these. Very hard to see but it needs to be redone.
To change the stator
Would you recommend me doing a rebuild on my bike if I’m not a mechanic or an experienced person with engines or my local bike shop doing it? I currently need to do a bottom end and top end on it because the person who had my bike previously abused the hell out of it and didn’t change anything on it since they bought it. It also has very low compression so the quad doesn’t start at all but it turns over and over and over.
If you're mechanically inclined and good at figuring things out, then I think you can do it with the service manual, internet forums and UA-cam. It's really not that bad as long as you take your time and stay organized. Take pictures as you're disassembling things so you can see how everything was when it comes time to put it back together.
Better with to tight bolts then too lose😂
Would ya just look at it
The Raptor 700 crank arm has been compressed
And then the sign was different and didn't work
When you take the rest pin out you should put Paper towels around the rod just in case you drop it it won't go into the bottom end
This is great advice
it wouldn't really matter because he has to split the case anyhow so if the circlip does falling there doesn't really matter
If he did not have to split them
Isaiah Orten 101 then I hundred percent agree with you I do it all the time with my rebuilds I put a rag in the bottom end so I don't have to take the bottom end apart but if I'm already doing the bottom end don't really care for putting a rag in there
Yesterday my raptor 660 broke down and I had to hitch hike home bad carbs
Dude that sounds like an awful experience lol
I want and pulled the stator cover off is it normal for oil to be in there
Oil is everywhere in these engines
Would you have to hone out the cylinder to make the cp piston fit?
No, not this one; it is stock bore.
Michael Sabo ok. Also I’ve been having really hard time jetting my banshee. I live in New York what’s the elevation above sea level. Please explain everything when you make the plug chop video because south Texas banshee didn’t explain his good. Thanks
Hallo!
Thanks for this amazing video!
Let me introduce myself.
I am head of power transmission System for formula Student kafrelsheik racing team.
We have engine of Raptor 700.
But we don't have the 3D design, whereas we we want to assemble it on the chassis.
But when we bought it ,the owner wasn't have the design.
So we hope that you can help us to solve this problem.
Our engine edition is YFM 700 RV
that is a new jug and piston. notice the color difference. anyways i just wanted to say i like your videos and i thought u would like to help me with something. i have a raptor 660 and i blew it up a while ago so i threw titanium valves and a 12:1 686cc cp piston w a stage 3 hot cam and it runs amazing. but when i ride it, in 5th gear, it acts like the clutch is slipping. i put a new clutch on it and it still has the issue. any ideas?
Tyler Talarico u changed springs too? If u put another stock clutch maybe its not strong enough for your new build
thats the thing. i have to pull the motor to work on the clutch so i gave it to a shop and they put a “clutch kit” on it and i dont know if they changed the springs but i was thinking it was springs. thanks for the help
I think you might be right on it being a newer cylinder. I agree that you may need new/stronger springs or you may just need to adjust your clutch cable (that's free so I'd start there). The other thing that's common is that if you're not using the recommended oil in your clutch, that can cause it to slip. One other thing, if it's a cheapie clutch, they tend to start slipping right off the bat especially with a big bore set up. Hope this helps! Thank you for the compliments man!
Can you make a video on how to take out a snapped exhaust stud
Oh man, that can seriously be one of the biggest pains in the ass! The next time I come across one I will make a video on it!
Michael Sabo thank you very much!
That voice at the beginning lol
Mine had the b on it 2 I'm the second owner of mine I'm sure it's stock
do you even lift bro!? 😂😂
Mình cần cục máy như vậy
Mình cần cục máy như vậy!
you need a crank dude
that's a vernier caliper not a micrometer. Just saying
I was not going to listen to this video if that voice the beginning would have continued.
The crankshaft will have to be turned if not to badly scored , if scored to much you will need a new crankshaft and maybe a rod.
