As a runner who is training for a marathon, these foam rollers ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx9XSsjzA4f84VmhBCHlyhec7XILIxennL are really good for sore and tight muscles. This one is a good size (mine is the purple, 36 inches) not too big but big enough to work and roll both my legs at the same time - I took a photo holding the roller next to me just to provide a better representation of its size. I noticed some reviewers who complained that this is, “just a foam noodle”… and yes, that’s exactly what it is. It’s a high density foam roller. It is absolutely NOT the same consistency/strength/durability/ or texture as a ‘pool noodle’ thought and I disagree entirely with those that say so. As a former collegiate athlete and marathon runner, I’m comfortably giving this roller 5 stars. It’s lightweight and durable and does just what I need it to do at a budget-friendly price. Overall, I have no complaints and am happy with it!

Thrilled that I saw this! I was already doing this with a "Foam Roller on My Bed". If you think about it, it's somewhere between the Foam Roller on a Hard surface, or using a rolled up towel. It provides the firmness of the Foam, but the bed's mattress gives it some cushion.
Only thing is, is that I wish I would have thought of it earlier, or found this great Video. I've been finding this successful.
Good luck everyone! Thank you very much for this posting as well!!!

I had scoliosis mid spine that was killing me as it was affecting every part of my body to misalign....I couldn't breathe properly for 2 years because the misalignment was causing my lungs to restricting t out of shape, this meant lack of bloodline n oxygen getting g to my head...I had the most severe type of brain fog...I really thought I was losing my mind big time, every day was agony... Non of my physios or Chiro practitioners, helped me sort this out...They told me I had a bend in my mid back, kept working on me it nothing was changing...The bend in my mid spine was pushing the whole of my spine out of place...
About two weeks ago I was getting ready to sleep, I was sick of beer in so much agony not being about to comfortable no matter what position I slept in...I had been suffering from insomnia for 2 years, only sleeping an hour or two a night, causing my body to crash badly...I decided to Liz yen to my body n see if I can push the bend in my spine in the opposite direction...Lying on my left side as the right side was giving me more trouble, I lift up my right hand n arm, slowly maneuvering over my body to dangle my arm towards my back...I could feel the pressure building at around where the bend was...I closed my eyes to direct my pressurel slowly where I wanted to push...I took a deep breath in n as I exhaled I slowly pushed against the bend, I went as far back as I could breathing in to that place to soften up n release back into the position it needs to be in...I remained there for a count of 30, slowly came back to my side position...A couple of mins later did the same again...This time around d I could feel the difference, it felt like it was slipping back into place...
About 5 mins later, I slowly turned back into the centre...I assessed the change...I was breathing so much better, there was no pulling n tugging thru my whole body...The e tremendous tightness in my upper neck, head n facial area had simply relaxed...My lower back that was extremely tight, was looser...Though it has not helped my brain fog, my mind is much more clear...Though it hasn't made much difference to my failing eyesight, it has overall given me my life back...Every night I do this same e ercise to maintain the right posture of my spine...As being in one position for so long it tends to start pulling to go back into the position it was in...I know if I carry onto work on it for a few weeks it will start to remain where it needs to...hope it helps anyone in the same situation..

I have scoliosis not to mention foot drop. .fusion on lower back... after my operations all other problems do occurr. the balance of the body goes haywire it compensates for injuries...which leads to other problems

Pro Tip: If you have kyphosis in addition to scoliosis, focus on fixing that first. It'll increase the tension along your spine, which will make you less susceptible to force imbalances. The tension will also increase your sensitivity along your spine so you'll be better able to feel out for yourself where the imbalances are. From years of futility, I can tell you that trying to correct scoliosis without fixing your posture is like trying to fill a bucket with a gaping hole in it; it can be done, but it's very difficult to do it quickly enough without losing too much progress for much of it to stick.

I already did this with a very hard foam roller, and it showed like an immidiate result...when I do the stomach vacuum, the left side of my rib cage always sticks out more than the right side, so I did this on the opposite side, and after 2 "sets" (30 second stretch) I immidiately noticed how my rib cage was more even...So hopefully if I keep doing this every single day, I will correct mi scoliosis...thank you very much for this video

just found this channel! amazing! tysm! curious if there are any exercises or stretches to fix head tilt. not sure if it's from scoliosis or strabismus? maybe both? my one hip is a little higher also. Found this out after fracturing foot and having hard cast put on. lasted less than 24 hrs in hard cast bc and was booted AMA bc of severe pain it caused hip. worse than the cractures in foot.
i bought myself an inversion table last year; recently, though, my lower back feels like it is squeezed together (i think the decompression videos accurately describes that pain & makes most sense) will be trying those exercises this evening! tysm!!

I was diagnosed with scoliosis (not a serious one, below 30degrees) when I was 15. A specialist ( a super doctor who was also a university professor an expert in postural problems) said that wearing a heel lift could have been useful: the legs had the same length but my pelvis was a bit twisted and one side 15 mm higher than the other. he said it was good practice non to go for a thick heel lift (that a heel lift should be half or less than the real gap since that could have cause the thoracic curve to worsen. He asked me to come back after a few months with new xrays (taken while I was wearing the 5mm heel lift). The lumbar curve was reduced while the thoracic curve was either the same or just slightly worse. I had less pain and he said I should wear it till I was 18 at least and that afterwords it would be useless. I kept wearing it till I was 35 then I thought I would get rid of it. all good, till after 5 months I started to have lots of pain like sciatica in my lower back and down my hip, left knee.. the side where the crest of the pelvis was lower (where I used to have to heel lift). The pain worsened...also, I was doing pilates and other exercises I was taught as a young patient (exercises to help cope with scoliosis I was taught for a few months on a weekly based by an expert when I was 16).
I had never had such a terrible pain in my life, I could not stand or alk anymore for more than 20 minutes. I was fine when sitting or laying in bed. My doctor said that I should see a phisiotherapist. I insisted that I wanted to see a more competent person (like a doctor who studied 15 years to become an expert about posture and scoliosis, but he insisted that a physiotherapist was good enough). The physiotherapist told me (after a thorough) assessment) that my scoliosis (actually my lumbar curve) was not there when I lay on the bed, but just when I stood up. That it was a sort of scoliosis cause but postural problems that that even if my legs had the same length I had to wear a heel lift (15 mm). He said a heel lift would be useful if my scoliosis was still there in all sort of positions but that in my case it would do the job. I started wearing a 6mm heel lift since I did not trust him (20 years before the specialist said I should wear a smaller one; half the real gap). I felt better within the following 2 days and I had 2 great months: no pain!!! now some pain is back but on the other side of the pelvis, the hip without the heel lift (the right side) it is not as bad as the pain I had on the left side, not at all, but it is annoying. Now I don't know what to do. If I take the heel lift off )from the left shoe) I will go back having that unbearable pain...I am 40, I do lots of core exercises and have a very strong core, I do lots of exercises all the best ones for scoliosis... any advice?

I know this may sound odd . but have you thought about going to a chiropractor or osteopath that specialises in scoliosis ?
Physio therapy and heel lifts are great . However it seems like you are missing direct treatment to the scoliosis . with manual therapy to the issue .
Exercises a and stretching can help but direct contact and manual therapy can help too .

If you noticeably have one half of your body straight and the other like an ⌛️then lay the straight side on the roller or pillow.
You could probably position the roller or whatever you use lower to fit where you need it. Just try placing it in diff spots until you feel the difference, you will feel the pain be relieved lol.
I used to do this every night and sleep in that position since it was comfy for me. I ended up getting my spine fused with the surgery from t1-L5 so yea like my whole spine lmao.
But my surgeon did get me X-rays of recreating that position and it made my spine straighten out while I was like that! It ofc would go back to the snake shape after but it was cool to see.
      Hope this works for you!

Great exercice but it helps when you have IT band syndrome as well?! Maybe it´s my small Scoliosis and asymetric back cause of my It band pain?!
it´s better to correct the IT band pain first or do you exercice for sciolosis?!! Or both ?!
