The Darkness are phenomenal. And now they have Rufus Taylor on drums ( so ofRoger Taylor of Queen) to add to their arsenal of talent.....
They're performance on Later with Jules Holland, on the BBC in 2000, is reassurance that they actually DO sound this tight in live performance. Justin's vocals really are this good, and both guitarists are phenomenal.
Justin Hawkins always gave me young Robert Plant vibes. Not necessarily the music style, but his showmanship, charisma, and presence.
Before I ever knew who Robert plant was this dude reminded me of him😂

I've seen these guys perform live twice, and both shows were off the scale, so totally awesome. I believe in a thing called love is my favourite of their songs. Maybe checkout their Christmas Song called Christmas Time (Don't let the bells end).

Definitely has a 70s vibe to it which I love. I know they're heavily influenced by Queen, but there had to be some influence by 70s glam rock band Sweet.
I remember the first time I saw this video....when Justin popped out of the water...great fun and then when Dan walked out of the door....I fell in love...with the guitar...The Darkness are 1 in a million band and I will support them until they decide to retire. Frankie and Ed deserve as much attention as the brothers do. ..so please remember to appreciate what they bring to the band!
This was their big hit when they played my Uni, really takes me back. Nice to have something upbeat to pick me up after a bit of pixies.

Justin Hawkins is the lead singer his bro plays the guitar.justin was on the masked singer UK as the chameleon if you want to check him singing other people's songs.the darkness have a Christmas song that gets played every year called Christmas time (don't let the bells end)

A great ROCK N’ ROLL band! These guys don’t take themselves seriously in their music videos also they’re entertaining. Check out “Love is only a feeling” , “Girlfriend” “Last of our kind” “In another life” are some good ones but they have tons of good songs on their albums not just the singles.😉

Happened upon your podcast and am wondering if you'd be interested in some movie recommendations for formerly banned surrealist films that won't be found streaming anywhere. Can you please do a reaction to Samantha Sang and her 1978 hit love song titled " Emotion" which is a great song by her that I know that you will enjoy listening to and reacting to this song. Her singing voice is amazing on the video for this song and she sings with such emotion in her voice it is incredible. I don't think you have reacted to anything by her yet but you will love this song since the song was released around the year you were born. Thanks.

Justin once said, when the group first started gigging in the U.K he was in the bathroom in a one piece tight black lycra jumpsuit and putting glitter on his cheeks when his mother walked in and said ''Justin is there something you want to tell me'', LMAO, true story, he said he always wanted to be a 'Rockstar' from very young and this is how he saw himself looking, so it's all his idea the glam rock/ '70s look, he's not taking the piss, he really liked the old groups, and Glam rock like Marc Bolan etc, so it's kind of an homage. The group as you can see never took themselves seriously, great lads.

i think they know exactly what they're doing, its a kinda parody. They were going for like queen but cracked up to 11 etc, theyre actually really good. I haven't heard from them in a while.
