The 500 is a beast! I have the 400, and it’s been really good to me.
The whole series of reels are incredible

Nice, I just ordered a Piscifun® Alijoz 300 I'm going to try as a low profile bumping reel, with 33lbs of drag it should do nicely. Nice review, keep up the good work, and lets get together and fish on one of your trips up here.
I hear those reels are awesome.Shoot yeah i got a trip coming up in a few weeks with big mike I hope. I’ll start putting up when I go in case anyone wants to meet me and fish.
You get what you pay for and that thing sounds like a workhorse🦅 I have an old version of Shimano nasci still goin after 5 years of catfishing
It’s the perfect size for kayak fishing also. Big enough to handle most fish but still not so big it’s hard to handle from a seated position
This reel is a beast ive had it for more than 3 years and it works great
I plan to get more
I have Daiwa Prorex 400 and its smooth, strong 30 lbs drag and high speed 8.1. Casts a mile with the T-wing level wind. Cant backlash it even if you try. But im getting a tranx 400hg this weekend. Putting it on a shimano SLX crankbait or Glass rod. Not sure which one. What would you reccommend . Ill be throwing monster swim/glide baits in rivers for big stripers. Should i get the heavy glass crankin or the SLX crankin rod. I love glass. Hard to order a rod without actually feeling it

@@ReelBeasts hahah. That was not judgment. When I lived in Texas I would have done the same thing. Here in Vegas though, the FBI would be at my door.
Pro tip use a short ankle socks when moving around it even protects the handle I do this with all my reels besides my internationals which are like 6-8 inches wide 😂 and I use all black socks people make fun of it but my reels don’t get that scratched…
Hahaha I am suuuper harsh on my equipment but you can believe me when I say they are tough lol

Great reel, but ugly white handle. Switch to a power handle like on the 400.
What rod did you use to catch the blue cat
When would you draw the line in deciding between using the tranx 400 and 500? Thanks!
When I start targeting fish over 40 lbs I would go with the the 500

400 is good for musky or catfish, anything bigger get a 500. Thanks for the video.
