Awesome... Glad to see you back! Your creativity and work flow are a joy! Looking forward to seeing more!
As a brand new UE user, this was mindblowing! Even having access to tons of assets, being able to place everything perflectly like you do is way beyond my understanding. Looking forward for your stuff in 2023!
not just assets, but ultra quality assets and free too
@@harrazmasri2805 nah not free
Is it really that hard? All it look like was just planting stuff around. Is game development that hard
@@hfhhhfhfhfhdhdhdhd262 this was just level design, not "game development" in all it's forms...
And yes you will see that level design alone is already difficult, you will have to go thru trial and error to find assets/create assets that work for the game you have in mind, then you have to create the level in a way that makes sense, the creator of this video planed it out before filming the video, he did not just randomly drag assets in the level....he planed, tried things out etc. before filming...
Then you have to work on lighting, sound design, optimization etc.
You could download a engine today and see for yourself... if you just "plant stuff around" you will quickly end up with a ugly level that is boring to play...
Obviously there is a chance you have natural talent for level design and everything you do just works out, but thats not the case for the average game developer ^^
@@user-dj9fu6kl8x This is not level design. This is just building enviroements. Level design is different. All of these channels that put "level design" have either never done it or don't know what it actually means
Welcome back! Even though my ancient laptop can't run the UE software effectively anymore, your videos have always been so inspiring to the creative process.
Nice work!
Though cows are giants here, in real life they're 1.5-2 times smaller :)
We've missed you.. Hopefully, we will get more content in 2023.🤞
thanks! Hopefully!
So glad to see a video from you after almost a year, you inspired me to start posting speed level design stuff on unreal engine and they have been really fun to make thank you so much for the tons of content and inspiration over the years! ♥♥♥♥♥
thanks, that's great to hear!
This was really calming and inspiring to watch! Thanks for sharing
Amazing work and that environment is incredibly immersive.
This is truly incredible, it gives me the feel of walking through riverwood for the first only on 4K crack. Well done though keep up the amazing work 👍
Great work! Your example and workflow will help us tremendously in building our medieval game.
That was amazing! I loved watched the process.
i really love this village. I was speechless the whole time. i'v missed you really
Wonderful. Longtime. Hope to see more. All the best. 👍🏻👍🏻
Dang those are some well fed cows and pigs!
It is an amazing result. You are good at it.
Truly some great creative skills there. Wonderful work!😁
The way this place is built makes no sense but aesthetically it is brilliant.
why
@@Baby_billionaire A year has passed since I posted that comment so I had to rewatch the video. Basically, the scale of buildings and amount of farm animals make little sense.
It is a very small village that doesn't have enough land around cleared to either raise enough crops or grazing land to feed the animals.
Despite the poor conditions (aside from the water mill), the houses are huge and all made of lumber. Considering the conditions it wouldn't be worth the effort. Neither does it make sense to surround such a small community with a palisade especially since it lacks any gate that could be closed to prevent any attackers from entering in. Again wasted effort.
The space is not used efficiently, animals are kept inside where feeding them would be even harder, large old trees growing inside the village creating a hazard... basically a lot of small and bigger details like that.
Now, I still think this author did a great artistic job. He dosen't state anywhere he aims for realism in his work so it is not a problem.
@@kamilszadkowski8864
Hello. I don't speak English very well, but I understood your message by translating it through a translator. I understand that you are knowledgeable in Level Design? That's why you are so precise with details.
Yes I am currently developing my own large game and partially studying the field of Level Design.
I just wanted you to explain your point of view so that I could understand and possibly learn something new from you.
Yes. There were many mistakes in this video
@@kamilszadkowski8864 Here are some examples I noticed:
The grass where the animals graze doesn't make sense, as the cows would trample it all with their feet, and no grass could grow there.
The houses are too close together, something I personally haven't seen in the villages of my country.
Fields of wheat or other grain crops are usually not right next to houses. They are located near the village, but not close to the houses.
I agree with you about the fence, the gate is missing.
Also, not in all villages, of course, but houses weren't placed close together due to the risk of fire, which could spread to neighboring houses, and the whole village could burn down.
@@kamilszadkowski8864 Overall, yes, there are many nuances. But we probably need to consider the fact that he is not a Level Design artist, but more likely a self-taught Environment artist, in other words, he doesn’t focus on conveying the meaning and purpose of the village's existence, but just tries to make it look beautiful. Although, he should know such things, and not just create beautiful pictures.
In any case, it is a beautiful work. Thank you for your response.
Finally,bro is back
I missed you last one bro. But you're comeback really happy man
It's been a while and you returned with an amazing work. One thing i noticed is that the cows look huge compared to the people
they are elves 😂
@@victordelgado7408 you mean dwarves 😂 cause elves are tall
Pigs are oversized too.
Great work Pier!
WOAH, YOU'RE BACK? I missed you.
You're back!
Such a beautifully crafted cinematic. Keep the great work :)
so nice to see you again
after one year.... great video
Welcome back! That landscape change @2:30 night and day -
You doing this very good keep working this look fantastic
I'm waiting for a LOTR themed level design ahahah... I've been following you for like 4 years, keep up the great work!
Amazing worka awesome as usual!
scale of the animals seems a bit too large (especially the pigs) and don't like the too cyan water color, but... looking forward what Projekt Red will do with the UE5 engine :)
It was great, but I agree that was the largest pig I have ever seen in my life haha
It’s a dire pig
It doesn't matter what you like. Can't you just appreciate and move on? Hater!
@@jesamegbe1579 who shat in your coffee this morning? it was just constructive feedback to improve the realism. now, i could give some constructive criticism on the way you respond to constructive criticism, however, i fear that would result in a counterproductive response :P
If you look at the animals compared to the buildings they look fine, it's the "player" character which looks about 3 feet tall that makes it off for me lol. But this is really beautiful otherwise and I definitely cant wait to see the new witcher game
You Sir, are a master in your craft.
Amazing like always!
I'm glad you posted a video again
awesome result! I like it!
This is real art. Love it
I can't believe you are finally back😍
Where have you been brother
We missed you alot
Yes guys he is back 🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👑🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
I love this video format! Sometimes I get stuck and mentally collect the level somehow else))
i really like the envirement, but i cant help to think that are some badass giant animals xD
Could feed a whole village on one of those cows! Audio falloff could use a bit of work too, but it's still a very nice scene :)
AMAZING!
Glad you are back!
Breathtaking. Amazing. Immersive. Except the animals need to be smaller they were comedically massive hahaha
Beautfiul! This needs more views
Thanks! you can help the video get more views by sharing it!
you should defiantly make a medieval game. this was amazing.
i'm actually making one! bit.ly/BlackThorne
@@unrealenvironments-speedle782 Watched the pre-alpha trailer, it's seems amazing :) Added to wishlist ;)
Defiantly, you say? I like the sound of that.
@@unrealenvironments-speedle782 Make it third person or an option to for third person combat and make it where you can actually play without internet and making some horses to ride. Afterward if you can sell it on steam and I will have it on my wishlist until it is out and price it right with like around 40 hours of gameplay with replay value and you got me sold!!!. Edit I forgot to add that this video and project you are doing is wicked. Congratz!!! I wish I had this much skills to be able to do this and sorry I know I sound demanding at first. Take your time and just have fun doing it. If it is not fun than why bother creating games am I right? Enjoy it!
@@skyecloud968 thanks! you can check it here! bit.ly/BlackThorne
Great work. UE will revolutionize gaming. I'm so hyped for 5.1, foliage and lumen... It's gonna be big
Beautiful!
really impressive what 1 guy with unreal can do
You are very talented!
A charming creation)) So warm and cozy! Thanks for sharing. P.S. Pigs are a bit too big :) Good luck and have a nice inspiration!
wonderfully evocative promenade
Plague tale, theme song 😍
Incredible work. It kinda gives me The Witcher 2 vibes but with much better graphics =)
Enjoyed watching this video my friend Really awesome views Thank you Stay connected
you're the best please make videos where you build speedy design maps and instead of making cutscenes you make gameplay its better the gameplay than the cutscene
i can do that! thanks!
Amazing... Respect
Amazing!!!!!!
Really miss your videos and you bro
Hope now your back we'll get some good videos .
👍🙏
This gives me even more hype for the Witcher remake!
but the witcher got his own engine
@@Pandoratomorrow11 REDEngine is officially dead after Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR said that they are switching to UE for all new projects, including the remake of Witcher 1
@@xSuperSS ah cool to know then
@@Pandoratomorrow11 Yeah and I for one are happy for it. UE is just insanely versatile compared to RedEngine, not to say way more Polished (hehe).
I missed watching you create
Its awesome!
What a wealthy village! And you stone bridges and stone fence! 😀
Godlike!
Oddly satisfying 😁
Das war wirklich eine faszinierende Video. Vielen Dank. Tja, man möchte ja als Gamma im Grunde genommen in so eine Ortschaft sein. Mit aufbauen und mit erleben. Ein Teil des Dorfes sein. Question erledigen und den Dorf noch sicherer gestalten und so ungefähr. Guten Abend
amazimg work, you see im starting to use unreal engine for my college project! im quite interested about where did you get the animations and models for the human characters?
YOU'RE ALIVE!!!! Welcome back!!
Now stop leaving!! Haha
thanks! i will post more but not one video per week
@Unreal Environments - Speed Level Design all good! Your stuff really does inspire a lot of us so please keep at it. On any frequency
it's amazing
Great epic scenery. This appears to be a single-camera shot. How long did the rendering take?
Amazing music. The soundtrack is yours or somewhere else?
The Witcher 1 remake will look ASTONISHING in UE5! Can't wait
Your work is very beautiful
But where did you get the animals with the animation and do I have any dinosaurs?
amazing
Holly molly dang 😍
Finally back
u made it look so easy
Did u somehow change the materials or textures of mwbroadleafforest? coz in my case the plants look less contrasted comparing to yours
Looks like Skyrim with mods 😅, anyway amazing job bro
The crazy thing is that it doesn't look THAT much better/different than the RTGI implementation in the Witcher 3 next-gen update. Just speaks to the art direction and staying power of the original. Great work though
I mean, this was created by one person on his computer in a few hours. The Witcher 3 took 100 million dollars and like 5 years of development.
@@tyler-hp7oq I know, I'm just saying this since most UE5 videos are showing the state of modern graphics. Good point with the man hours and availability of good assets now
@@tyler-hp7oq this level make every normal UE5 User in few min/hours. You cant compare a hole game with a small scene.
Yeah...I want this game! LOL❤️
It is amazing how many assets there are. This really makes creation of such environments fast.
Who made all these houses, trees, bushes and such?
assets links are in description!
@@unrealenvironments-speedle782 Thank you for the hint. (I should have seen this actually...)
But wow, did not know about this Unreal engine marketplace. That is amazing how many stuff is there. I am not familiar with game design and such. But it really seems to me that this engine is a gamechanger in terms of accessibility to high end graphics also for lower budget productions.
And also, very nice build up and atmosphere in your medieval age marketplace environment.👌
Love your content! When you design the level it looks like you already had it planned out. Did you just go with the flow or did you have some drawings or concept to follow?
thanks! i just go with the flow usually!
Its POWERFUL! like
i don't know if you will reply but where did you get those nice medieval characters with the animations?
How did you get the lighting to look so good?
Those pigs are huge !! :D
This is Gorgous!!! I saw some pics on Riddet you posted.
Can you share your learning sources?? For environment and cinematics? I'm working on a project and I need help
thanks! i didn't post anything on reddit... can you give me the link, please?
i just learned with youtube tutorials and other video like this
hey man, great video, may i ask you the name of the soundtracks in the video other than the one nominated in the description?
Thanks, they're taken by a plague's tale soundtrack
The music in the video is quite similar to A Plague Tale: Innocence, Where did you get these assets? Quixel Bridge?
the music is from a plague tale, assets links in description!
welcome to Medieval Dynasty :)
This is amazing. Do you have or recommend any tutorials on how to do something like this? Especially the landscape?
thanks! no, unfortunately i don't have any tutorial to recommend
seeing things like this gives me hope that one day,... dark messiah of might and magic,... might get a remake through UE5
duuude i remember playing the online back in the days, much fun !
never did the campaign because, time passed and I played much "advanced" (graphically wise) games... it would be so cool if they would do a remaster
@@amigosan imagine dont play a game for the graphic💀
@@nxdoggo9696 no not only that but it is the thing that have been making me pushing it back and back
great work, any suggestion for learning that ?
If the Witcher 4 and TES VI looked 80% percent as detail as this I would be very happy!
Lovely, just stunning. My OMG, what have you been feeding those animals? ;D
Thanks! they feed them people who asks what they feed them with!
@@unrealenvironments-speedle782
That explains why they're so big (I'm 191 cm tall and kinda fat) 😆
Those pigs are huge lol… Apart from that, looks good
Thank you for the time lapse. may i ask where do you get the other assets props
from. Theres only the house link in the decription. I would love the other assets, such as fences etc...
thanks! i used a lot from this pack bit.ly/Medieval_Env
@@unrealenvironments-speedle782 Thank you for the link. Love your creativity. Hope to see more in the future
Woah😮🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro how much an individual req to reach ur lvl ?
it looks nice, but why all the trees and leaves are static?
This is what i felt like Skyrim looked like when it first came out. 😂
