- Here’s another quick and easy decoupage DIY I am so excited to share with you! In this DIY I’ll be decoupaging on a sign I found at The Dollar Tree using the ‘iron-on’ method. With this method you’ll learn how fun and easy it is to adhere a pretty paper napkin to the “Love” sign. I will also be combining a couple other items to complete this project that I also found at The Dollar Tree! You will be creating beautiful wooden signs with paper napkins in no time!
You’ll need some decorative napkins, I got mine from Vippies Designs (www.vippies.com) From The Dollar Tree I got the “LOVE” sign, the heart doorknob hanger with the bells, baking parchment paper and the reindeer moss. The other items you probably already in your crafting stash like white chalk paint, brushes, a small silk flower, glue gun, nail file and Mod Podge decoupage glue. You’ll also need a craft or household iron to do the ‘iron-on’ technique! I’ll show you the new CRICUT crafting iron that has replaced my household iron.
If you can not find the “LOVE” sign at The Dollar Store you can probably find something similar in the large craft and hobby stores.

I don't know why I waited so long to do the iron on method. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Not one wrinkle. Thank you!
Hey Cindy! What took you so long? Now you will want to do the iron-on method everyday while your clothes are wrinkled? Lol Enjoy! - Joan 😄

Hi! Great and if you have any questions please let me know! - Joan
I loved the bird craft the best. Was wondering if you could be so kind as to decoupaging a mason jar? TFS Take Care, God Bless You & God Bless America!!!
Yes you can Decoupage glass jars, like this ua-cam.com/video/tvgp9i_wBVw/v-deo.html
Your sense of design is so good. I love your projects.

Debra Swatik thank you! - Joan 🙂
I simply love how you explain things and demonstrate! Very easy to follow!
Thank you so much, I appreciate your kind words! 🙂- Joan
You are so easy to follow- I love your directions-And I love that you speak clearly and you don’t go too fast. I was planning on making this for my daughter for Valentine’s Day thank you so much🌷Can I please ask you where you found the dinner size napkins, I’m having trouble with finding one large image like that. Thx!
Thank you so much for all your kind words, your daughter would love this. The napkin I used was actually luncheon size I did not catch that mistake when I did the editing. The luncheon napkin I used opened up to one large image so even at the luncheon size it still worked! I got that napkin from Vippies Designs. I think you can get dinner size napkins on Amazon, I usually use guest size for something larger. Thank you for watching! 🙂
I saw those silicone finger protectors at Dollar Tree yesterday. I think they were a pack of 3
Hi Ursula! I hope you grabbed a pack! They have saved me from blisters! Safety!! 🙂 Joan
@@JoanMarieDomino well, Noni didn't I almost did, because I used to make satin ribbon flowers, and used a torch lighter and glue gun a lot. But I haven't used anything hot lately, except an iron, when sewing, but.my machine needs servicing, which is why I'm decopaging. Haha but I need to stop and get some. Last trip I spent $41 there. So I'm trying not to go. But I need to get some before they're gone.
Yes go get a pack but I understand your hesitation because I rarely leave the DT without spending at least 20 bucks, those dollars sure add up! 😄
Love these ~ so cute & beautiful gifts
My neighbour loves cardinals ~ so I will make one for her & pray that it comes out anywhere as perfect & pretty as yours 💚
I've never seen the iron method before
WOW ~ very neat without the mess & it's perfect ~ you're a GENIUS 💚
Thank you so much! With a little practice you’ll decoupage wonderful things in no time! I did not come up with the iron on method. I saw that is was used on furniture and I thought why not small things? 🙂❤️
Super cute i love it great ideas
Thank you so much! 🙂
How long do you wait for mod podge to dry?
Hi Shaune! I let the MP dry for about an hour between coats. With humidity, where you live, etc. you will have to adjust. The glue needs to be dry. - Joan 🙂
Can I use napkin decopage instead of modpod?
It should be a glue for decoupage. Mod Podge is a popular brand. 🙂 - Joan
Like it but the back should have been painted.
I never have time
@@JoanMarieDomino I understand. Love your’e decoupage dishes. Can you answer when I should use the Krylon glitter spray. Should I apply two coats of decoupage let that dry and then use the spray.
Thank you
Jan
Here is complete instructions for glass plate including the glitter spray ua-cam.com/video/o0cgGiWkLho/v-deo.html
@@JoanMarieDomino LOVE, LOVE, LOVE !!! So I'm guessing that after I followed the glass bottle tutorial, that even though you didn't paint the bottom, that it should ??
