If you are like me and picked up Karlach BEFORE getting, Wyll, he apparently just shows up at your camp during a long rest since he just disappears from his usual location.
The Astarion encounter is even more interesting if you fail the perception check against his ambush. It also leaves his... condition... bare for you to plainly see.

You are playing as the same type of character as I have had planned playing. A duel wielding Assassin Rogue with a crossbow and poisonous darts is my preferred choice.
I can not remove that rock 7:30. I'm a paladin and drank a potion of hill giant strenght, giving me 21 total. I guess launch version is different. Even had gale conjuring a mage hand, it did nothing. *edit: nevermind, I'm an idiot, was pushing instead of dragging the rock....

I failed the skillcheck on him and intentionally did not reload any save because I thought its designed so that you can get him later on, but thats not the case?? Im 30 hours in to game now and no way im going to reload all the way back there to get him. If this is how the game was designed, that achiegving a character relied on one single skillhceck, I must say its really poorly made then...
You didn't include Lae'zel's alternate location! If you let too much time pass, or simply don't find her caged, you can encounter her at the githyanki patrol.

Bruh I realized I hadn't found Lae'zel in starting area+on my first attempt I somehow made Astarion to stay in camp(a.k.a.outta current campaign I'm walking with). And then I spend 1ish hour wondering why the fuck I can't win a battle of 3vs 7...
I picked and want to play as Shadow heart and I can’t even kill the two enemies to get that that far. I can cheese the locked door but then still die to the enemies inside.
i've already raided the village and have never seen shadowheart once other than ship and never saved her from there, picked up the artifact on bridge without shadowheart and i was stumbled when i found it... did i miss out on shadowheart all together ?
My Lae'Zel attacked me after we went to a base of her race and ignored all the warnings so I had to kill her and I think I can't revive her anymore or anything.
I just finished everything in the starting area and had absolutely no idea how i hadnt found La'zael yet. Thanks for the guide!

Shadowheart is strong enough to move the rock ad long as you click on her arrow to accept her level up right after you get her.

I mean the game got released in different times due to time zones. Also there wasn't that many new things shown here either.

at 5:33, you lockpicked the container but you can actually break this (at least as a barabar, not sure if that is class-specific)

The two npc’s were dead and the cage was broken when I got to Lae’zel’s location. Is there anywhere else I can find her?
